MOVE Act Not Moving

The MOVE Act, or Military and Overseas Voting Empowerment Act, was passed after major suspicious irregularities were found in the system, in recent elections, of counting the voting ballots of Military members who could not, for obvious reasons, exercise their voting rights the way we civilians can.

The provisions of the Act are very defined and specific, as one of the authors Texas US Sen. John Cornyn states, as it mandates that the Department of Justice would insure that those members of the US Military deployed overseas would receive their ballots with plenty of time to fill it and return it so that their votes could be counted.

It appears, though, that the Voting Section of the DoJ has been more interested in providing legal help to states that fail to comply with the MOVE Act provisions.
In other words it looks like the Department of Justice is more interested in helping the states who do not comply with the law to find ways to defend themselves from litigation instead of enforcing the law.

The explosive situation has been divulged by two former DoJ attorneys, Eric Eversole and J. Christian Adams, who have uncovered the systematic and purposely designed action of Eric Holder’s department to deny thousands of Military personnel to have a participating voice in the political events back home.

Attorney Adams may be a familiar name, as he is the one lawyer who has revealed to the Press, at least those who were interested, the policy of Eric Holder and his boss regarding the dropping of the Black Panthers Voter intimidation case and the policy of non-prosecution of any case involving black defendants in election violations.

What is becoming increasingly obvious is that the DoJ is more interested in helping the states that have asked for an exemption from compliance with the statute than to enforce the same. And it is also obvious why that is.

Complaints of voter disenfranchising for those who are serving the Nation overseas have been logged in the last few election cycles. Some 750,000 military ballots were received “too late” to be counted in the last Presidential elections and that is when Congress finally acted.
But the liberal control of our political system and the effectual impotency of the Republicans there, have made once again a mockery of our system of laws.
This should be a matter of pure common sense. It should be the utmost priority of every state and of the federal government to insure that the ballot of those involved in the defense of the Nation would not only disseminated in a timely manner, but that they would be counted first.
We, as a Nation, ask our men and women to place their lives in jeopardy, to sacrifice in order to safeguard our way of life, which includes, prominently, our right to express our beliefs through our vote. The least our Nation’s leadership should do is to insure that the Military voting rights are not violated. But I guess it is too much to ask for from the political whores in Washington.

Those that have taken over the control of the government and of the lives of the American people, are more than willing to pander to criminals who have no business being inside our country in order to manipulate the rules and gain their votes. Millions of illegal aliens are allowed to reside, work and pillage the welfare system of the United States for the mere reason that the politicians are seeking their suffrage in return, and the motivation is strong enough to discount the price that the United States and its people pay for their actions. But the Military is assumed to have a more conservative political tendency, so the liberals in charge are more than willing to disregard the law and continue to act upon nullifying their votes.

For a long time now the fact that it is the American people that should have control of what happens in our country has become blurred as a concept. The minds of many have been so corrupted and deceived that the reality of our form of government has been hijacked by the elitist class we keep re-electing every cycle.
It has to be because of the pervading sense of apathy Americans have settled in that the Nation is driven by a conglomerate of buffoons, crooks and cheaters, as otherwise would make no real sense that individuals like Barbara Boxer and Lindsey Graham, Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank continue to have a career in ruining a whole Nation.

With the inaction on the part of the DoJ on the MOVE Act, we are witnessing again the conditions the ruling crowd is imposing on the American people.
As they are bent on finding the way to pervert the electoral system, making up rules as they are convenient, disregarding openly unlawful behavior as long as it favors their agenda, they are protected by a bias Media that will either distort or just plain ignore the actual facts.
Ultimately, if it takes disenfranchising those members of our society that actually should be the first entitled to vote, politicians are willing to have it.
It is well know that the majority of the liberal progressives in Washington and in the state capitals across America, view the US Military as the enemy, considering it the very last obstacle to the complete Marxist takeover of the United States, so eliminating their right and privilege to cast a vote is just another step.

What causes my extreme sadness and rage is not the attempt of these miscreant politicians at silencing the Military, but the fact that the American people have become so desensitized with the bad behavior of those in power that they do not appear to be perturbed by it any longer, especially those with no direct connection with the Military establishment.

In my perfect world, news of the lack of enforcement of the MOVE Act should be a story superseding Lindsay Lohan’s release from prison or Mel Gibson’s latest voice mail.
In my perfect world, the news of PO3C Jarod Newlove’s body being found in Afghanistan, obviously killed by his captors, should be superseding Obama’s appearance on the “View”.

Obviously my perfect world is only just that.

Got A Small Problem With This

NBC NY affiliate reports that a 40 year old Mexican man was attacked by thugs in the city last weekend. The sixth such attack since April, it has the same modus operandi as the other five, where some criminals have beaten and robbed Mexican victims while yelling racial insults.

This is a much regrettable behavior and I hope for the swift hand of justice to come upon these criminals. Theses kind of abhorrent actions have no place in our country and the punishment for these individuals should be of the highest level.

But there is a development I have a little problem with.

According to the writer of the article, Juan Dejesus, the Mexican Consul General of New York has made this statement:

“We will act decisively in order to protect our citizens and will actively promote that those guilty of these vicious attacks are brought to justice expeditiously. We are working hand-in-hand with local authorities on all levels,”

Working with local authorities is exactly what is needed and that should include anyone who has any information that would bring these criminals to justice, but than the Mexican Consulate has announced that it will post Consulate personnel around Staten Island in the effort to protect its citizens.

I surely hope that the NYPD has asked the Mexican Consul General, Ruben Beltran, what exactly this “consulate personnel” is all about, as I find somewhat problematic the possibility of some sort of Mexican police roaming around the streets of an American city in law enforcement attitude.

In the first place I can see a major problem developing if these “officials” would take the law into their own hands and create an international problem that would exacerbate the already tense relations with Mexico.
Moreover, I understand that our politicians have allowed the Mexican president Calderon to verbally attack a sovereign State of the Union in his speech in Congress and that federal judges are allowing Mexico and seven other states in Lain America to participate in an internal law suit against the State of Arizona, but allowing Mexican law enforcement to conduct business inside our borders may be a recipe for a much large disaster.

Law enforcement officials in the US tell the US citizens that such kind of work is the business of the police and that the citizenry must not take the law in its own hands. Groups like the Minutemen have been vilified and ostracized for wanting to bring a presence at the border with Mexico, but law enforcement officials are going to allow Consulate officials form another nation to patrol American streets, and I have a problem with that.

Would it be acceptable, then, if the American Embassy in Mexico would send some of its “officials” around Mexico City or any other Mexican city to protect the interest and safety of American citizens?
I think the crying of ‘imperialism’ could be heard from Caracas to Havana.

Personally, I hope these thugs in New York are caught soon, and I can even hope for the local chapter of the Guardian Angels to maybe give them back some of what they dished out before handing them to authorities, but I sure do not want the precedent of a foreign country placing its law enforcement personnel on the streets of my country.

It’s a catastrophe in the making.

Don't Cry For Me, America

It is a great feeling of relief to hear that the Obama’s are feeling the pinch of the economic disaster America is in, not because I wish bad luck, but because I am sure that it pushes the President to do something about the economy of the country.

I understand the conundrum the President and the miss are in, having to cut down on their vacations and their activities in order to save for their daughters’ college funds.

So what are the sacrifices that the Obama’s are making?
Well, Mrs. Obama and one daughter have booked 30 rooms at the most luxurious hotel in whole Spain, a 5-star place. I guess if she wanted to be extravagant, she would have booked 60?
I do feel sorry, though, because she will not really enjoy such bare bone vacation as her husband and other daughter will not accompany them. Thankfully, they will all go on vacation again next month to Martha’s Vineyard. Wow, I feel better now.

And who can forget the Obama’s’ dog flying to the vacation spot in Maine two weeks ago in its own jet. Granted the poor pooch had to settle for a smaller exec jet that the G3 Gulfstream its masters used, but making the pooch suffer so much because of the cut backs Obama and family had to make is a little extreme. Hope PETA does not get wind of this.

I surely see the self imposed belt tightening as the Obama’s used a smaller jet than the usual 747 to fly to Maine, surely sacrificing so much of their comfort to leave a much smaller carbon footprint and use less taxpayer funded jet fuel. And I am incensed by the right wing fringe saying that the reason was that the Maine location did not have a big enough airport. How racist.

Ok, time to turn the sarcasm off.

It is offensive to the American people that these individuals have the courage of even mentioning the impact that the recession has on them.
In the first place they are absolutely out of the loop of the reality of things across the Nation.
The President will be jumping on Air Force One (the full size one) to make an appearance on the View, so to get the dingle berries on that stage sing the praises of the Messiah, in the attempt to perk up his sinking popularity by appealing to the type of brain dead characters who watch that crap.
The cost to taxpayers for this little escapade is what, half million dollars? Chump change!

And the American people are seeing this and many are beginning to smell the stench of hypocrisy that emanates from those they voted for in the last two elections. Many are opening their eyes to the words of Obama, of Geitner, of Hillary, who are so bold to go on record and speak of the tax burden on the American people.

Geitner hinted last weekend that the White House and many democrat congress members want to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire at the end on 2010, which would translate in one of the largest tax increase in the history of our country. And this coming from a guy who cheated on his taxes. Yes the rich among Americans must pay their fair share of taxes, because Obama needs the money to send the message to the world that America is serious about curtailing its debt.
Really, Timmy, next you are going to tell me that Obama is black, right?

And let’s not forget the good old battleaxe Hillary, who is going around stating that the evil large corporations and the rich bastards in the country are nowhere near paying enough taxes, all the while filling the news with details about the over $2-million wedding she is throwing for her daughter.
Really, Hilly, you have the balls to tell me that the American people who have been in the past the greatest generators of employment are not paying enough? Coming from you it is really laughable.

It is mind blowing that the call for the re-distribution of wealth in America comes from individuals who are rich themselves. And considering that they have become rich by abusing the governmental system into a corrupted branch of special interests bank, the call for more sacrifice is as offensive as it gets.

Surely the family facing foreclosure because of a loss of employment and thanks to the Obama economic policies or the Frank/Dodd scams, will find hard to sympathize with the President lamentation of the impact the bad economy has had on his finances.

But not to worry, because the President’s daughters will be able to go to Harvard, and at taxpayer’s expenses. I am just curious how will Barak work that out.
Will he use racism or will he just get them Kenyan paperwork. We shall see.

The Ever Giving Boxer

It is really embarrassing for me as a Californian, to witness the complete and total mental decay that is affecting a woman that the citizens of my state have been keeping in Washington for almost 30 years. I am speaking of the esteemed Sen. Barbara Boxer, the hopefully soon-to-be-former California Senator.

The mentally challenged Boxer had a campaign fund get together in Inglewood, CA, last weekend where she compared her “service” in Congress to the service our Military is performing in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Check that, probably not Iraq as that is the ‘bad’ war and she is much above those who served there.

Her statement during the fund raiser:

“We know that if you have veterans in one place where they can befriend each other and talk to each other. You know when you’ve gone through similar things you need to share it. I don’t care whether you are a policeman or a fireman or a veteran or by chance a member of Congress.[Democratic Rep.] Maxine [Waters] and I could look at each other and roll our eyes. We know what we are up against. And it is hard for people who are not there to understand the pressure and the great things that go along with it and the tough things that go along with it.”

Lt. Commander Paul Chabot of the Veterans for Carly (Fiorina) Coalition, called Boxer’s statement a demonstration of Boxer’s lack of any interest and respect for the United States Military.

So, besides a bad case of heartburn, Boxer sparks some of my thoughts.
I can see that there may be similarities between the two types of service. Both volunteer for the job; both take an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution; both get to ride in taxpayers’ paid vehicles; both get to eat and drink on the taxpayer’s dime.

But the similarities end there, because while our Service men and women remain faithful to their oath, politicians do their best to trample it; while our Military does its job in vehicles that may be older than them and lacking the necessary armor, politicians roam around in limos and high cost jets; and while our Military feasts on MREs (Meals Ready to Eat), the politicians wine and dine like royalty.
And definitely, while politicians get rich through the corruption they are such experts at, the Military memebrs surely do not serve for the love of money.

So the parallel between the political service and the Military service is just as absurd as the reasons why such an ignorant moron gets re-elected.

And to make the whole affair even more insulting to Veterans, the campaign fund raiser conducted by Boxer over the weekend had, as one of the special guests, one of the best friends of the Military, especially the Vietnam Veterans. Yes, none other than the infamous Hanoi Jane.

I will just refrain from calling Boxer the names I feel regurgitating inside the pit of my stomach, but I will do all in my power to make sure that in November the whole state will be able to call her UNEMPLOYED!

My Evergrowing Multiculturalism

Thousands of classified documents have been leaked by WikiLeaks about the war in Afghanistan. Allegedly, the documents are supposed to be a collection of accusing information regarding war crimes committed by America through its Military.

Surprisingly, it appears that the documents are limited, in their chronology, to the period of time from 2001 and 2008, while no mention is made of any “war crime” dated to the Obama regime time.

Besides the absurdity of the chronological bias, the fact that the documents were ‘leaked’ and not obtained via the Freedom of Information Act, means that these classified papers have been divulged without official permission, clearly a violation of the law.

With this consideration in mind, I am personally holding WikiLeaks and that unsuccessful abortion of Julian Assange as personally responsible for the death of any member of the US Military, and of any other NATO personnel loosing its life from this moment on.

In my ever present attempt to improve my multiculturalism and move closer to the religion of peace, I am calling for anyone with a sniper rifle within range of this Assange dude, to free the world from such a lousy oxygen consumer.

I Give You Time, Mr. Rangel

In a news conference held on his own turf of Harlem, Rep. Charlie Rangel has asked his constituency to give him time to address the ‘allegations’ of unethical behavior that the House Ethics Committee has leveled against him.

Of course these ‘allegations’ have been known to just about everyone in America, and just everyone also knows that Mr. Rangel has been very ‘active’ in procuring a very good life for himself, thanks to his devotion to the cause of the poor and the downtrodden. Of course what the ‘abused’ that keep on electing him do not want to realize is that his goal has always been to keep them in a continuous state of oppression so to gain their votes.

The NY Times reporting about the press conference states:

Mr. Rangel, 80, appeared on his political home turf one day after a House investigative panel announced that he would face a public ethics trial over findings that he had violated a range of ethics rules. While the panel did not disclose details of those violations, officials with knowledge of the investigation have said that they involve Mr. Rangel’s acceptance of four rent-stabilized apartments in Manhattan and efforts by his office to preserve a half-billion-dollar tax break for an oil executive who pledged a donation for an educational center being built in Mr. Rangel’s honor.

So it appears that Mr. Rangel was wetting his whistle with the rent business in Manhattan and that he was playing with one of those hated oil company executives, not to mention not paying taxes on some vacation home somewhere in the Bahamas or something like that. But of course the good Rangel will surely have a good explanation about his financial escapades, most likely explanations based on his fight against the greed of some big corporation, Republicans, TEA Party and/or George Bush.

And his constituency will take that and most likely re-elect the man.

Mr. Rangel is asking for time. I am willing to give it to him. I know I will be labeled as lenient and softy, but, considering his age, how about 10 years in state penitentiary.

Hidden Agenda?

This is definitely a tall tale sign of a society in decline! The airwaves of every News outlet have been, in the last three days, filled with the non-story of Shirley Sherrod. This woman has risen, in just over 72 hours to a place of journalistic relevance that she could not have hoped for in a million years, and all thanks to a bunch of buffoons that these days populate the 24-hour news cycle.

On one side we have Fox News, whose reporters and anchor people miserably failed the test of context. Not that the Ms. Sherrod is as pure as snow, but in the sense that before running with the vilifying charade, they should have had someone with some common sense take a look at the whole tape and only then the clarity of the irrelevance of the story would have been all to apparent.
This is a woman who has a record as a radical leftist and who was speaking in front of the NAACP, one of the most radical leftist organizations in our country today.
Is really anyone surprised that a well known racist like Sherrod, speaking in front of a racist audience, member of a racist administration would make a non-controversial speech?
Come on, people, let’s pull our collective heads out of our backsides and use some common sense.
Bill O’Reilly is adopting a non-stop programming monopoly toward this non-story, mostly because he screwed up and he is trying, way too hard in my opinion, to come up in the right. And as he is being trashed by the Left, he resorts to the always pandering angle of station ratings.

On the other side we have the Leftist media, who has made Fox News reporting the actual story, demonstrating a giddy attitude of “gotcha!” toward the news organization, Fox News, that on a daily basis tramples them as the favorite of the American people.

The travesty of all this is that the entire news coverage in the last three days has been focused on Sherrod being vilified and subsequently unceremoniously fired by the White House, then damage control took hold of the White House and Sec. Vilsack took the brunt of the accusations over Sherrod’s firing, as if it is not obvious that he did so in order to clean the Obama bed pan. Then everyone started the apology tour, including Obama, and the offer to Sherrod to get her job back, offer that she is now playing hard to get over, while she uses the never lacking accusations of racism against the Fox News organization.

The hard part to swallow for me is that while the liberal and conservative news organizations in the country are so busy in their wall-to-wall coverage of the vicissitudes of a small time racist official, the corrupted politicians in charge are sneaking their way toward the assured destruction of our country.

While Sherrod monopolized the attention of the American people, Obama signed the latest horrendous government takeover of the financial system, with the evil twins Barney Frank and Chris Dodd scoring another victory toward the complete annihilation of the American economy.

While Sherrod was becoming a household name, and not by our own choice, Elena Kegan is one step closer to become a life-long Supreme Court Justice, position that she is not qualified for but that she will readily use to advance and impose her anti-American and anti-Constitution views. And surely the statement from Sen. Dick Lugar, RINO of Indiana to the effect that he will be voting for her confirmation associating himself with the other traitor of America Lindsey Graham, has gone almost completely unnoticed.

And probably unnoticed was also the protest that Louisiana’s governor Bobby Jindal has leveled against Obama’s moratorium on off-shore oil drilling. It was not as important the plea that the governor made for the economy of the Gulf and of his state, as Obama’s actions will cost Louisiana alone, up to 100,000 jobs.

All these stories, of dire importance to the whole Nation, were only slightly covered by a Media that was instead too busy pandering to an insignificant racist woman, while the travesty of the federal government law suit against the State of Arizona begun.

All this is just what the doctor ordered for the Obama administration, who, even through the embarrassment of the Sherrod’s ‘story’, managed to divert the attention of the American people from the real issues that are set to affect us.
The distraction was just delicious, to the point that I am suspicious of the timeliness of the events and the modality of it divulgement. And the reason behind my suspicion is that the source of the initial tape, Breitbart, has been a very reliable source historically, and it is almost too perfect that he did not verified the entire tape before passing it on to Fox News.

So it remains to be seen if the notorious case of Shirley Sherrod is going to go into the history books as just another Obama’s hidden strategy of distraction of the American people, or just another gigantic and annoying piece of bad journalistic work.

Either way, I am sick of it.

Great Dog Story

Great Dog Story and well worth the reading!!!!!

They told me the big black Lab's name was Reggieas I looked at him lying in his pen. The shelter was clean, no-kill, and the people really friendly. I'd only been in the area for six months, but everywhere I went in the small college town, people were welcoming and open. Everyone waves when you pass them on the street.
But something was still missing as I attempted to settle in to my new life here, and I thought a dog couldn't hurt. Give me someone to talk to. And I had just seen Reggie's advertisement on the local news. The shelter said they had received numerous calls right after, but they said the people who had come down to see him just didn't look like "Lab people," whatever that meant.
They must've thought I did. But at first, I thought the shelter had misjudged in giving me Reggie and his things, which consisted of a dog pad, bag of toys almost all of which were brand new tennis balls, his dishes, and a sealed letter from his previous owner.
See, Reggie and I didn't really hit it offwhen we got home. We struggled for two weeks (which is how long the shelter told me to give him to adjust to his new home). Maybe it was the fact that I was trying to adjust, too. Maybe we were too much alike. For some reason, his stuff (except for the tennisballs - he wouldn't go anywhere without two stuffed inhis mouth) got tossed in with all of my other unpacked boxes. I guess I didn't really think he'd need all his old stuff, that I'd get him new things once he settled in, but it became clear pretty soon that he wasn't going to.
I tried the normal commands the shelter told me he knew, ones like "sit" and "stay" and"come" and "heel," and he'd follow them - when he felt like it. He never really seemed to listen when I called his name - sure, he'd look in my direction after the fourth of fifth time I said it, but then he'd just go back to doing whatever. When I'd ask again, you could almost see him sigh and then grudgingly obey.
This just wasn't going to work. He chewed a couple shoes and some unpacked boxes. I was a little too stern with him and he resented it, I could tell.
The friction got so bad that I couldn't wait for the two weeks to be up, and when it was, I was in full-on search mode for my cellphone amid all of my unpacked stuff. I remembered leaving it on the stack of boxes for the guest room, but I also mumbled, rather cynically, that the "damn dog probably hid it on me." Finally I found it, but before I could punch up the shelter's number, I also found his pad and other toys from the shelter.. I tossed the pad in Reggie's direction and he snuffed it and wagged, some of the most enthusiasm I'd seen since bringing him home. But then I called, "Hey, Reggie, you like that? Comehere and I'll give you a treat." Instead, he sort of glanced in my direction - maybe "glared"is more accurate - and then gave a discontented sigh and flopped down with his back to me.
Well, that's not going to do it either, I thought. And I punched the shelter phone number.But I hung up when I saw the sealed envelope. I had completely forgotten about that, too. "Okay,Reggie," I said out loud, "let's see if your previous owner has any advice.".... ......___________ _________ _________ _________ToWhoever Gets My Dog: Well, I can't say that I'm happy you're reading this, a letter I told the shelter could only be opened by Reggie's new owner.
I'm not even happy writing it. If you're reading this, it means I just got back from my last car ride with my Lab after dropping him off at the shelter. He knew something was different. I have packed up his pad and toys before and set them by the back door before a trip, but this time... it's like he knew something was wrong. And something is wrong... which is why I have to go to try to make it right. So let me tell you about my Lab in the hopes that it will help you bond with him and he with you.
First, he loves tennis balls. the more the merrier. Sometimes I think he's part squirrel, the way he hordes them. He usually always has two in his mouth and he tries to get a third in there. Hasn't done it yet. Doesn't matter where you throw them, he'll bound after it, so becareful - really don't do it by any roads. I made that mistake once, and it almost cost him dearly.
Next, commands. Maybe the shelter staff already told you, but I'll go over them again: Reggie knows the obvious ones -"sit," "stay," "come," "heel." He knows hand signals: "back" to turn around and go back when you put your hand straight up; and "over" if you put your hand out right or left. "Shake" for shaking water off, and "paw" for a high-five. He does "down" when he feels like lying down - I bet you could work on that with him some more. He knows"ball" and "food" and "bone" and "treat" like nobody's business.
I trained Reggie with small food treats. Nothing opens his ears like little pieces of hot dog.
Feeding schedule: twice a day, once about seven in the morning, and again at six in the evening. Regular store-bought stuff; the shelter has the brand.
He's up on his shots. Call the clinic on 9th Street and update his info withyours'; they'll make sure to send you reminders for when he's due. Be forewarned: Reggie hates the vet. Good luck getting him in the car - I don't know how he knows when it's time to go to the vet, but he knows.
Finally, give him some time. I've never been married, so it's only been Reggie and me for his whole life. He's gone everywhere with me, so please include him on your daily car rides if you can. He sits well in the backseat and he doesn't bark or complain. He just loves to be around people and me most especially. Which means that this transition is going to be hard,
with him going to live with someone new.
And that's why I need to share one more bit of info with you....His name's not Reggie. I don't know what made me do it, but when I dropped him off at the shelter, I told them his name was Reggie. He's a smart dog, he'll get used to it and will respond to it, of that I have no doubt, but I just couldn't bear to give them his real name. For me to do that, it seemed so final, that handing him over to the shelter was as good as me admitting that I'd never see him again. And if I end up coming back, getting him, and tearing up this letter, it means everything's fine. But if someone else is reading it, well... well it means that his new owner should know his real name. It'll help you bond with him. Who knows, maybe you'll even notice a change in his demeanor if he's been giving you problems. His real name is Tank. Because that is what I drive. Again, if you're reading this and you're from the area, maybe my name has been on the news. I told the shelter that they couldn't make"Reggie" available for adoption until they received word from my company commander. See, my parents are gone, I have no siblings, no one I could've left Tank with... and it was my only real request of the Army upon my deployment to Iraq , that they make one phone call to the shelter... in the "event"... to tell them that Tank could be put up for adoption. Luckily, my colonel is a dog guy, too, and he knew where my platoon was headed. He said he'd do it personally.
And if you're reading this, then he made good on his word. Well, this letter is getting to downright depressing, even though, frankly, I'm just writing it for my dog.
I couldn't imagine if I was writing it for a wife and kids and family. But still, Tank has been my family for the last six years, almost as long as the Army has been my family.
And now I hope and pray that you will make him part of your family and that he will adjust and come to love you the same way he loved me. That unconditional love from a dog is what I took with me to Iraq as an inspiration to do something selfless, to protect innocent people from those who would do terrible things... and to keep those terrible people from coming over here. If I had to give up Tank in order to do it, I am glad to have done so. He was my example of service and of love. I hope I honored him by my service to my country and comrades.
All right, that's enough. I deploy this evening and have to drop this letter off at the shelter.
I don't think I'll say another good-bye to Tank, though.
I cried too much the first time.
Maybe I'll peek in on him and see if he finally got that third tennis ball in his mouth.
Good luck with Tank. Give him a good home and give him an extra kiss goodnight - every night - from me. Thank you, Paul Mallory____________ _________ _________ _______
I folded the letter and slipped it back in the envelope.
Sure I had heard of Paul Mallory, everyone in town knew him, even new people like me. Local kid, killed in Iraq a few months ago and posthumously earning the Silver Star when he gave his life to save three buddies.
Flags had been at half-mast all summer. I leaned forward in my chair and rested my elbows on my knees, staring at the dog. "Hey, Tank," I said quietly.
The dog's head whipped up, his ears cocked and his eyes bright.
"C'mere boy." He was instantly on his feet, his nails clicking onthe hardwood floor. He sat in front of me, his head tilted, searching for the name he hadn't heard in months.
"Tank," I whispered. His tail swished. I kept whispering his name, over and over, and eachtime, his ears lowered, his eyes softened, and his posture relaxed as a wave of contentment just seemed to flood him. I stroked his ears, rubbed his shoulders, buried my face into his scruff and hugged him.
"It's me now, Tank, just you and me. Your old pal gave you to me." Tank reached up and licked my cheek. "So whatdaya say we play some ball? His ears perked again. "Yeah? Ball? You like that? Ball?"

Tank tore from my hands and disappeared in the next room. When he came back, he had three tennis balls in his mouth.

Times Are Coming

On July 4th I sent an e-mail to my Congressman, David Dreyer, to ask about what his position was on the federal judge that had decided to allow a legal brief from the Mexican government to be used in the US government law suit against the State of Arizona over SB1070, and if he was going to do anything about it.

Of course, I have not received any response from Mr. Dreyer, as he must be too busy to actually waste his time with a member of the miserable populace.

And today I am elated to read an Associated Press article reporting that Bolivia, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Paraguay and Peru have filed their very own legal briefs to be added to the Mexican one, against the State of Arizona.

Yes, my Semper America friends, another seven Latin American countries eager to get on the band wagon of destruction of the United States, all but encouraged by a political leadership in Washington that has already reached the point of treason against the Nation.

Bet you won't hear any of this either on CNN.

How Dare You, James Clyburn!

I have always thought of the South Carolina Congressman as a typical representative of the new slave ownership enterprise, but James Clyburn managed last Sunday to infuriate me. In the past I always discounted the indecency of this man as just a sample of immoral opportunism that is such a basic characteristic of politicians, but as I unfortunately stopped long enough in front of the TV last Sunday, I was incensed by this guy actually having the courage to say what he was saying.

Clyburn was a guest, together with Mike Pence of Indiana, of Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday. I researched the transcripts of the interview and was not able to find them so I will instead paraphrase the statement that this poor excuse for human being made regarding the issue of illegal immigration.
The basic point made by congressman Clyburn was that those people in America who are against the liberal interpretation of immigration reform, fancy term for amnesty, are an affront to those non-US citizens members of the Military who are serving overseas and have died in the service of the Nation.
I caught that statement and my blood pressure shot up as few times before.

In the first place, illegal aliens, last I checked, do not join the Military. And there is a major distinction between those who have crossed the southern border into the United States in clear violation of the law of our country, and those who have come to the US legally and are serving the Nation in the Armed Forces hoping, among other things, that their service would speed up the obtainment of US citizenship. Combining the two together is not only erroneous, but it is a clear indication of the visceral intellectual dishonesty of Mr. Clyburn, a man who has often shown how rotten his soul really is.
This so called man is one of those who the day of the vote for Obamacare, leveled false accusations against protesters who were voicing their rejection of the healthcare bill, by stating that he had been subjected to racial slurs and even of being spat on, accusations that were completely unfounded and uncorroborated.
Mr. Clyburn is also the piece of garbage who accused the GOP of planting candidates like Alvin Greene in the South Carolina U.S. Senate primaries of last June. Clyburn had called for an investigation on his own accusations that the Republican Party had concocted the candidacy and victory of the completely unknown Greene. Clyburn’s accusations were proven false by a state inquiry, but Clyburn has not been heard making any apology for his conduct.

No surprise comes from the use of falsities on the part of Clyburn, after all he has done so for a long time, including using the racial card against Hillary Clinton during her campaign against Barak Obama. Clyburn is just another charlatan who has made a career by crying victim and by keeping his constituency in a perennial state of submission, a la Sharpton and Jackson.
But to actually have the nerve of using the Military in such an obvious misguided way is, for me, beyond the acceptable.
What also surprised me was that Pence did not have the presence or the courage to call the man out on such a travesty.

After hearing Clyburn using the non-US citizens in the Armed Forces with such blatant misconstruction, my mind went to Alexandre “Sasha” Aleexev.
In 2007, the Patriot Guard Riders escorted Sasha, as he was known to his family and friends, to his last resting place after being killed in Iraq by an IED.
Sasha’s family had come to America from Russia when Sasha was a little kid following the disintegration of the Soviet Union. Sasha and his family were legal immigrants into the United States and Sasha loved America so much that he had decided to serve his new country in the Military. His hope was also that his service would possibly accelerate his citizenship paperwork, as being a US Citizen was one of the goals he wanted to achieve the most.
Spc. Alexandre “Sasha” Alexeev, 23 years old, paid the ultimate price for the defense of the country he loved so much. And at the cemetery, immediately following the Military Honors, a State Department official granted full United States Citizenship to this legal immigrant from Russia.
Sasha was buried as a United States citizen.

So, for Representative Clyburn to place on the same level someone like Sasha and those who enter our sovereign soil illegally is just enough for me to discount this man as an American.
And how dare this poor excuse for a human being to use the Military for the promotion of his progressive, anti-American, unconstitutional and racist agenda.

You, Mr. Clyburn, are worth less to me than the camel dung these men and women have to scrape off the soles of their boots.

Another National Disgrace

The Senate Judiciary Committee has voted 13-6 for sending the nomination of Elena Kagan to the full vote of the Senate for her confirmation to the Supreme Court.

The committee, composed of 12 Democrats and 7 Republicans, voted along ideological guidelines, including the only RINO to vote in favor of Kagan, S.C. Sen. Lindsey Graham.

According to Graham, he feels that Obama nomination is a good one and that he was convinced that the answers given by Kagan regarding her opposition to Military recruiting, about her position on abortion and her antipathy for the 2nd Amendment, were good enough for him to be convinced that she is qualified to be a non-activist Justice.

Sen. Graham, the only Republican in America who actually believes that the woman will not be a radical activist on the Court, has obviously been in contact with the White House and it would be interesting if some real journalist would do some digging to find out what the cost of Graham support was. I am fairly sure that the hybrid Republican senator from South Carolina has struck a very lucrative deal with the Obama regime to be willing to betray the American people so blatantly.

Just as the man was the only supporter of Sonia Sotomayor last year, Graham wants to remain in lockstep with the Obama administration by being the sole Republican supporter of the activist nominee Kagan.
There is no doubt that the other usual criminal suspects, Olympia Snow and Susan Collins and George Voinovich, will insure that the good Graham will not be the only lighting rod for the ire of American Conservatives.

These are individuals who must be removed from the Senate because they are a cancer eating away at the principles that guide America. There is no real difference between Graham and Obama and Pelosi. They all are only interested in gaining control of the lives of the people for the mere goal of maintaining power.
And they are doing and will do all they are allowed to in order to achieve their scopes.

Sen. Graham, you are a disgrace to your Party, your constituency and your country.

Where Have I Been?

Some time I ask myself the same question, as the days and weeks go by so fast that I often wonder if I am ever going to get done all the things I want to do.
My posting has been slowing down, not because I have not had the need or the reason to rant, but because I have had some good family things happening and I have embarked on a project that is taking a lot of the little spare time I have.

In the last two months I had the homecoming of my Marine son from Afghanistan and having him back with his wife and son and with the rest of us has been the source of tremendous happiness and relief.
Than, on July 7Th, my grandson Alexander Francis joined the family at 8 lb. 3 oz. and that has only added to the euphoria of this period (God I love to be a grandpa!!!)

Now, for the last few weeks, I have decided to embark on a project that I have been planning for some time. As those who follow my ranting already know, I am an opinionated American who is not very afraid of expressing his opinions. I also enjoy tremendously to write, so I have decided that I was going to write a book which relates to my personal experiences as an American, as an immigrant and as a thinking free man. Much of what is going to be in the book is a reiteration of my rants and the title of it will be, appropriately, "Just My Thoughts".

I do not know at this time if the work will ever get published. I hope that it will. I hope it will sell a lot of copies and that I will be able to maybe dedicate myself to writing full time. But regardless, it may be something my grandchildren and their children will be interested to read if they try to remember their grandpop.

So I apologize for my sporadic posting. As life will hopefully slow down a bit, I will be able to get back into the groove of things. And for all who may be interested, I will give you updates on the book writing.

Purchasing Powers

With the Senate confirmation hearings over for the SCOTUS nominee Elena Kagan over, outbound Sen. Arlen Specter has been one of the few liberals to express his dissatisfaction with Kagan’s qualifications for the high court. At least until yesterday.

It appears that Sen. Specter has expressed to the White House his desire to remain in public life even after he will be finally unemployed next January, so the Obama administration is considering hiring the-two faced Pennsylvania politician in some capacity. And considering that Biden and Specter are good friends, the deal is all but certain.

ABC News reports these latest developments, including Specter’s sudden ‘change of mind’ on Kagan’s confirmation. He has declared his ‘potential’ support for Obama’s appointee, of course provided that the negotiations are satisfactory.

It appears that the only person left in America with some purchasing power is Obama, as he continues to buy political support by giving away taxpayers’ funded positions.
The reported potential job Specter would get in exchange for his support for Kagan is some sort of special envoy to the peace process between Syria and Israel.

I am not as incensed by the actions of the White House as I am by the selling out of Specter. Promising support for a clearly unqualified and radically activist nominee to the Supreme Court should not be based on a returned favor, as the appointment of Kagan to SCOTUS would be a detrimental action for our Nation for many years to come.
If Specter had reservations on the woman’s qualifications, reservations that have been wiped out by a job offer, the country should expect greater integrity in the performance of his job.

But, on the other hand, we are talking about two-faced Arlen Specter.

The Case For Profiling

SB 1070, the anti-illegal immigration bill in Arizona, has brought the issue of profiling once again on the main scene of America's social consciousness.
Just about everyone who supports the Arizona bill, has come out vehemently defending the bill's intention of avoiding profiling at all cost, going the extra mile to insure that profiling will not be used by LEOs in the application of the law.

But in reality, every day of our lives we engage in some sort of profiling as a way to remain vigilant and safe.
Let's consider, for example, our Neighborhood Watch programs, those programs that warn strangers that any unrecognized person and/or activity may be reported as suspicious to the authorities.
Isn't that a form of profiling? If I should see a person I do not recognize roaming around my neighbour's residence, when I know he or she is away for the weekend, should I refrain from reporting it so not to engage in profiling?

Not too long ago, I saw the press conference of an FBI agent involved in a case of a child abduction somewhere in the Mid-West. He called upon the residents to come forward to help in providing possible leads in finding the child. He did so because the community was so small that he realized they basically all know each other, so it could be possible that someone may recall seeing a person or persons that they did not recognize.
Was the FBI agent enticing the public to exercise profiling?

And what if I see an Arab looking young man walking in a crowded mall in the middle of July with a bulging heavy coat perspiring profusely. Would it be acceptable profiling if I called the cops?

We all know the answers to these questions. Even the most progressive lunatic liberal would want me to call the cops if he was my neighbor. In the above cases, profiling would be the civic thing to do.

But we are awfully ready to place the burden on police officers to reject a very important aspect of police work aside for the benefit of political correctness. It is that sixth sense that officers develop after dealing with the scum of society for some time: instinct.

This degrading of police efficiency has already been occurring in the Faifax County, Virginia Police Dept. where CAIR (Council for American/Islamic Relations) was successful in imposing their version of sensitivity training for the officers as they interacted with Muslim suspects.
The result was that as CAIR gained the trust of the Department leadership so eager to act in PC fashion, CAIR was alerting Muslim suspects of potential police surveillance.

The bottom line is that in Arizona, illegal immigration, and the criminality that comes with it, has taken a heavy toll on the quality of life of many US citizens and on the economy of the state. The influx of illegal aliens has grown to a full invasion, threatening the safety and security of the whole Nation.
And if profiling can be a successful tool in the reversal of this destructive trend, I feel it's a small price to pay.

A Society In Decline

Signs of a American social values gone astray are evident across our Nation. The hard part to accept is that it is not just at the people level that the decline is manifesting itself, but at the leadership level.

The United States is fast making the step from the ideals of inclusion, of tolerance, across the line dividing freedom and reversed discrimination.

No Media coverage, for example, alerted the people of an incident that took place in Dearborn, Michigan, on June 18 2010, where the local Arab community organizers held the Dearborn Arab International Festival. During the festival, which by its name does not imply that it was a Muslim occasion only, four members of a local Christian assembly were arrested for engaging in conversations about Christianity.
The four were handcuffed and led away by police as some in the crowd witnessing the arrest cheered “Allah Akbar”, just another example of authorities willing to violate the Costitutional rights of certain Americans in favor of others.
So much is wrong about this incident as the four were arrested for exercising their First Amendment right. And even the police excuse of wanting to prevent any potential confrontation does not hold water, because there was no indication of any sort of escalation of tempers and the festival was not labeled as a strict Muslim event. Even then, the detention and removal of the four individuals was a clear violation of their rights.

Surely the ACLU will come out any day condemning the incident. Or maybe not.

But we are seeing this type of travesty from the highest level of authority in the Nation, as amply demonstrated by the much publicized case of the Black Panthers member who exercised their will to intimidate voters at the Philadelphia voting poll in 2008, a case that thanks to the intervention of the new racist regime, went from being an open-shut case to one of the biggest travesties of justice in recent times.

The worst aspect of this case is not the level of crime that took place, after all the two black Panther thugs did not actually attacked anyone phisically, but the fact that the Department of Justice and its leader AG Eric Holder have made it clear that the case was not going to be prosecuted on the basis that they black.
It would be iteresting to see if the same development would have occurred if it would have been two KKK in white sheets at a voting poll in Alabama.
To make things even more indicative of the decline of our society, we witness a political leadership in Washington, from Obama on down, that has no qualms about protecting people like these Black Panthers, especially one Samir Shabbazz, the one who in the Philadelphia video was holding the baton, and who has been filmed inciting black people to kill the white folks and their babies, addressing white women with black men as “white whores”, professing his hate for white people.

What happened to the laws governing Hate Speech? Oh, I forgot. They only apply to those who dissent from Obama. Not a word of condemnation can be heard by people like Nancy Pelosi and Dick Durbin as they are too busy calling Tea Party members ‘Nazis’ and ‘racists’.

Yes we are a society in decline, and have been for some time now. Obama and his minions just stepped on the accelerator.

The Spin Zone Called DoJ

There are several spin zones in Washington these days, more like thousands, but none more blatantly disturbing that the Department of Justice.

Attorney General Eric Holder, on July 6, declared that the United States government has filed a law suit against the State of Arizona and its Governor Jan Brewer in order to stop the implementation of SB 1070, the anti-illegal immigration bill passed by the south-western state to combat the scourge of illegal immigration.

AG Holder urges the U.S. District Court of Arizona to permanently stop the law from taking effect at the end of July.
The legal basis used by Holder to back his law suit is that the enforcement of immigration laws is the sole jurisdiction of the federal government and therefore the Arizona law is invalid and actually a disruption of the efforts made at the federal level. Holder stated that the Arizona law must be “struck down” so that the efforts of the federal government in combating the entry of dangerous illegals, like terrorists, would not be impeded.

In a written statement, Holder said that

"Arizonans are understandably frustrated with illegal immigration, and the federal government has a responsibility to comprehensively address those concerns. But diverting federal resources away from dangerous aliens such as terrorism suspects and aliens with criminal records will impact the entire country's safety."

At the news of the law suit filing, Gov. Jan Brewer expressed her disappointment with the turn of events and complained of the enormous waste of taxpayers’ money that the legal action will represent. In a statement released from her office, Gov. Brewer said, among other things, that

"It is wrong that our own federal government is suing the people of Arizona for helping to enforce federal immigration law. As a direct result of failed and inconsistent federal enforcement, Arizona is under attack from violent Mexican drug and immigrant smuggling cartels. Now, Arizona is under attack in federal court from President Obama and his Department of Justice."

Gov. Brewer also stated that it was ironic that the government would attack a piece of legislation legally passed in the state legislature, aimed at re-enforcing the federal immigration laws (as the official illegal immigration law of the Nation is pretty much the same as the one passed in Arizona), while the government has never brought any legal action against municipalities that openly violated federal immigration laws with their “sanctuary” self definition.

Protest against the suit were raised by other Arizona politicians, including the state’s two senators, McCain and Kyl, while lauding of the Department of Justice actions came from the usual suspects, like the American Civil Liberty Union.

So here we have it. The federal government going against the will of the people once again, as this administration has been accustomed to do since day one.
For years now the United States government has failed miserably to provide the American people with a security apparatus at the southern border that would insure the end of literally an invasion of illegal immigrants into our territory. And the problem is not only of Mexican illegals, but also of uncounted and undisturbed OTM (Other than Mexicans) illegals that evidences have shown to have entered the country via the Mexican border, potential terrorists who are now roaming the streets of our Nation.

But this is just another crisis that the Obama administration cannot allow to go to waste. In fact, the man talks about “comprehensive immigration reform” of a system that, he says, is utterly broken.
So just like the “financial reform” and the “healthcare reform”, Obama is only interested in totally changing the posture of the United States to best fit his personal agenda, regardless of the damage he and his Obamadroids cause the Nation.
The true reason behind the law suit is not the interference that the Arizona law may create with federal resources, because, after all, the federal government has miserably failed at that effort for decades.
The true reason is that the striking down of the Arizona law would give him greater leverage in his pushing for the reform of the system, which is, in reality, amnesty.
Obama has to get the amnesty for the 30 millions illegals done, because he surely needs those votes in November.
The amazing part, at least for me, is that the Department of Justice is taking months to put together the case against the author of the massacre at Ft. Hood, dodging and weaving its responsibilities over the reasons behind Hasan’s killing spree, with dozens of eye witnesses, claiming the need for time in the discovery of all evidences. And yet, they are already able to file a law suit against one of the states in such a short time. I guess when it fits Obama’s agenda bureaucratic red tape is not a hindrance. Amazingly, this law suit has been spoken of since the day the law was passed, even by those, like Eric Holder, who admitted had never read the law in the first place.

Yes, there are thousands of spin zones in Washington, but Eric Holder has been able to make himself noted on several occasions. Again!

As former President Ronald Reagan might have said, "Obama, there you go again."
The current occupant of the White House claims to know how to create jobs. He claims jobs have been created. But so far the score is Great Obama Depression 2.2 million lost jobs, Obama 0 -- a blowout.
Obama is as hopeless, helpless, clueless and bankrupt of good ideas as the manager of the Chicago Cubs in late September. This "community organizer" knows as much about private-sector jobs as Pamela Anderson knows about nuclear physics.
It's time to call Obama what he is: The Great Jobs Killer. With his massive spending and tax hikes -- rewarding big government and big unions, while punishing taxpayers and business owners -- Obama has killed jobs, he has killed motivation to create new jobs, he has killed the motivation to invest in new businesses, or expand old ones. With all this killing, Obama should be given the top spot on the FBI's Most Wanted List.
Meanwhile, he has kept the union workers of GM and Chrysler employed (with taxpayer money). He has made sure that most government employee union members got their annual raises for sleeping on the job (with taxpayer money). He made sure that his voters got handouts mislabeled as "tax cuts" even though they never paid taxes (with taxpayer money). And he made sure that major campaign contributors collected billions off government stimulus (with taxpayer money).
As far as the taxpayers -- the people who actually take risks with our own money to create small businesses and jobs and pay most of the taxes -- we require protection under the Endangered Species Act.
You won't find proof of the damage Obama is doing on Wall Street, but rather on Main Street. My friends are all part of the economic engine of America: Small business. Small business creates 75 percent of new jobs (and a majority of all jobs). I called one friend who was a wealthy restaurant owner. He says business is off by 60 percent. He's drowning in debt. He won't last much longer. His wealth is gone.
I called another friend in the business of home improvement. He says business is off 90 percent from two years ago. My contractor just filed personal bankruptcy. She won't be building any more homes. The hair salon where I've had my hair cut for years closed earlier this year. Bankrupt. But here's the clincher -- ESPN Zone just closed all their restaurants across the country. If they can't make it selling cheap food and overpriced beer with 100 big screens blaring every sporting event on the planet to a sports-crazed society, we are all in deep, deep trouble.
I've polled all my friends who own small businesses -- many of them in the Internet and high-tech fields. They all agree that in this new Obama world of high business taxes, income taxes, payroll taxes, capital gains taxes, and workers compensation taxes, the key to success is to avoid employees. The only way to survive as a business owner today is by keeping the payroll very low and by hiring only independent contractors or part-time employees provided by temp agencies.
The days of jobs in the private sector with big salaries, full benefits, and pensions are over. We've all seen where those kinds of jobs get you as a business owner -- in Bankruptcy Court or surviving on government welfare like GM and Chrysler. Or in the case of government itself -- completely insolvent, but surviving by ripping off taxpayers and fraudulently running printing presses at the Fed all day and night to print money by the trillions.
Unfortunately, small businesses don't have the power to impose taxes or print money. So unlike government, we'll just have to cut employees and run lean and mean.
It has now become clear that, outside of the burgeoning field of Census takers, there will be no major increase in new jobs for years to come. Outside government, Obama has created a wasteland of economic ruin and depression that looks much like the landscape of Mel Gibson's first movie "Mad Max." Without a printing press in Obama's world, you're just plain out of luck.
The days of believing the Obama propaganda about a jobs recovery are over. The trillion-dollar corporate handouts (neatly named "stimulus") may have kept big business in the money for the past 18 months, and artificially propped up the stock market, but small business is the real canary in the coal mine.
My small business-owning friends aren't creating one job. Not one. They are shedding jobs. They are learning to do more with fewer employees. They are creating high-tech businesses that don't need employees. And many business owners are making plans to leave the country. In a high-tech world where businesses can be run from anywhere, Obama has a problem. His one-trick pony -- raise taxes, raise taxes, raising taxes -- is chasing away the business owners he desperately needs to pay his bills.
So who is going to pay Obama's taxes? Not his voters. They want government to pay them. Who is going to create Obama's jobs? Not his voters -- they've never created a job in their lives.
So what is Obama going to do? Maybe he can get Pamela Anderson on the line.

Calling On Congressman David Dreyer

My third attempt to contact my Congressman, David Dreyer. My two previous ones, over the course of the last six months have gone totally ingored, as I sadly expected.
This is the text of the e-mail I sent this time:

Dear Sir,

I am one of your constituents and I would like to bring to your attention that an Associated Press article is reporting that a federal judge, whose name was not revealed, has agreed to allow the government of Mexico to participate in a law suit against the state of Arizona over SB1070.

In the first place, I would like to know from you on what grounds is a foreign government allowed to interfere with the internal affairs of our sovereign nation and lawful legislation passed by one of our United States.
In second place, I am eager to see you and some of your Republican colleagues in Congress immediately start impeachment proceeding against this so-called federal judge, who obviously has no business sitting on a judicial bench.

Such action would be a welcomed reprieve for you and other Republicans who silently sat in the Hall of MY Congress and allowed president Calderon to attack one of our States and the will of the American people.
It would have been refreshing to see you join your fellow California Congressman McClintock in protesting that dishonorable show of treasonous behavior.

This is my third attempt to communicate with you, sir, my two previous obviously gone nowhere. Hope this time I will have better luck.

This time I hope that I will receive some sort of an answer, even if I do not expect that the polished Dreyer will be sticking his neck out and do the right thing.

Happy Birthday, America

Happy Birthday, America, my beloved country!

And today my wishes are more heartfelt than ever before, as my beloved country is in the mix of a national struggle that, in my opinion, is one for its very existence.

The United States of America has endured, throughout its history, some very challenging periods, due to foreign and domestic foes who have put the resolution of the American people to the test.

From the War of Independence to the Civil War, from the turmoil of the 1960s to the turmoil of today and from Pearl Harbor to 9-11-01, America has always responded in accordance to the ideals that were first brought forward by Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence in 1776.


"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created
equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"


But never before in our history have the American ideals faced the danger of extinction as today, with the current political leadership hell bent on undoing any of the factors that have made the political experiment called United States of America the envy of other countries and the beacon of liberty for millions.

Those who call themselves the representatives of the people are failing at doing just that, pursuing instead personal agenda of power and control that resembles more the actions of a tyrannical government than of elected representatives of the people. Their agenda is the imposition of their will upon the people of the United States, justifying their actions by taking the position that they, in their elitist position, are intellectually better equipped to know what the people want, what the people need. Is there much of a difference between what President Obama or Nancy Pelosi are telling the American people or what their actions are, and what King George or Stalin or Hitler were saying and doing?

Last night I was watching the mini-series John Adams, in
particular the episode when John Adams joined Benjamin Franklyn in Paris to try to gain the support of the French monarchy for the Revolutionary War.
And as I am watching John Adams shocking introduction to the decadence of French nobility, I could not help but have a feeling of dread for the future of my country.

The frivolity and excesses John Adams witnessed in Paris reminded
me of the personal Boeing 757 that Nancy Pelosi got for herself to fly back
and forth from Washington to California, all at taxpayers cost, fully loaded with booze for hundreds of thousands of dollars. All the while telling the American people that they should be happy they are out of work, because now that Obamacare has been passed, they can pursuit their "dreams" with the knowledge that they have medical coverage.

And the decadence of king Luis XIV, so immersed in his personal parties and his personal maintenment of power, reminded me of President Obama golfing and playing basketball as our Military is involved in two
wars and the lives of millions are being devastatingly impacted by economic mismanagement.

And the somber knowledge of what it took for that particular political system to be abolished (check French Revolution), keeps me up at night.

234 years ago, our Founding Fathers put their own lives on the
line for the achievement of freedom and independence. 234 years later
we witness a nation increasingly surrendering those very liberties to a
despotic government.

So I celebrate another birthday of my country, sure with good food, some beer and taking in a firework show, but my thoughts remain vigilant on the future and my hopes rest on the first leg of an hopefully peaceful new American Revolution to start next November.

Contempt For The Court

On June 28, 2010, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled, again, on the Second Amendment right of keeping and bearing arms. Following up on a 2008 decision that stated that the Amendment to the Constitution is an absolute protection of the individual’s right to ownership of weapons, the SCOTUS now ruled on the assertion that such right is federally insured and that individual states and jurisdictions’ ban on citizens’ ability to possess firearms is a violation of the Constitution.

The decision of June 28 was a 5 to 4 decision, clearly showing that the Supreme Court is no longer the sort of institution that Americans can depend for a clear and faithful interpretation of the law as mandated by the US Constitution. Why else would 4 justices, thankfully the minority in this case, be ready and willing to trample the rights that are clearly afforded to the American people by that governing document. The reason is clearly politically based and philosophically derived, completely ignoring the foundations of that particular right in favor of a Progressive ideology.

Of course I see the decision of the court as a victory for the American people and the Constitution, but I also see that there are four justices with such power that are immune to any reservation about disregarding the law of the land and the rights of the people, effectively taking a activist stand contrary to the very purpose of the Supreme Court.

What is even more disturbing is the fact that the difference was so minimal that any mere ideological shift on the court could have spelled disaster for one more of the rights of the people, an effort that the Obama circus seems to be all but too eager to accomplish.

The amusing part of the SCOTUS decision came from the dissenting opinions of two of the minority votes. In their dissent, Justices John Paul Stevens and Stephen Breyer, who had been joined by Ginsburg and, what a surprise, Sotomayor, could not even bring a legal standing to their dissent. Instead, their argument was based on what they saw as the undermining of the democratic process for the American people.

They sustain that if the people want guns to be banned they should be able to accomplish their goal by electing officials who campaign on such platform. And to that I respond “bull crap”.
The elimination of no right delineated and insured by the United States Constitution should be used by a campaigning politician to entice voters, because, by definition, it would have to be deemed unconstitutional.


Let’s take, for example, the Westboro Baptist Church. By all accounts, these miscreants are considered as low on the scale of common decency as one can imagine. These are the people that have gained some notoriety by showing their vile protests at the funerals of servicemen and women killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. And let’s imagine that there would be a politician who would run a campaign based on his intention to suspend the First Amendment right of the Westboro Baptist Church. There is a very good probability that that politician could gain considerably in the polls only based on such position, but in reality, as much as personally I would like to shut those people up completely, any attempt to do so should not hold in court as it would be a violation of the First Amendment right.

That said, I can accept certain limitations to the location where the WBC could spill its venom, mostly as to respect the privacy and welfare of those these individuals seek to offend, but not their ability to spill their venom.

Comparably, there are literally thousands of pieces of legislation that control the possession of firearms by the American people. Many are based on suspension of Second Amendment rights for felons and criminally insane people, but so are voting rights, or at least that should be the case (I recently had the misfortune to meet a convicted drug dealer, a felon, who proudly told me he does vote, so I guess there are ways to break the rules, but I digress).

What I find utterly disgusting is the typical liberal progressive attitude. They do not seek legislation for the safety of the public, avoiding infringing on the rights of the people. They seek to deny those rights all together. If they could get away with legislating the free speech of people like me, they would not waste a minute of time.
And that is exactly what the 4 dissenting justices represent and what causes me to have contempt for the Supreme Court. Sadly, just another American institution going to hell.

Unbelievable!

The Associated Press reported on July 2, 2010 that a federal judge has declared that he will allow a legal brief presented by the Mexican government in support of a law suit brought against the state of Arizona aimed at stopping in court the recently passed law on illegal immigration.

So, if I understand this correctly, a US federal judge will allow a foreign entity the ability to participate in legal action against a lawfully passed legislation inherent to one of the United States of America, technically opening the door to a foreign government to directly interfere in the internal affairs of a State.

The judge, whose name remains unmentioned in the AP article, is therefore effectively telling the American people that the sovereignty of the United States is no longer a consideration in the internal decisions of a state legislature, and that political ideology will be allowed to trample the rule of law and the will of the people.

I find this revelation truly unbelievable. The march toward the effective destruction of the United States has taken a new turn that is much more disturbing that the mere slide toward Marxism/Fascism that the Obama circus is engaged in, because in Marxist/Fascist regimes, the last thing that those despots wanted was interference from abroad, while the current occupiers of Washington D.C. are allowing foreign interests to participate in the defeat of our country.
From allowing the Mexican president Calderon to attack Arizona from within the Halls of Congress to allowing Mexico to participate in legal action against one of the States, the current administration is not so slowly, but surely surrendering the very American institutions to Mexico. And all this is done so that the Liberals may gain political traction with illegal immigrants once amnesty is granted.

In other words, the liberal progressives and some of the so-called Republicans in the leadership are, for all intents and purposes, selling out our Nation to foreign pressure for political gain.

I know I have a simple mind and that I cannot compare with the super-intelligent mongrels in Congress and the White House, but in my opinion openly compromising the legal and security stand of our country for personal gain, be it political or ideological or financial, qualifies for treason and all who are involved, be it this federal judge or Eric Holder or Obama, are guilty of conspiring against our Nation.

Yes, for whatever it may be worth, I am accusing those in power of treason against the United States of America. Obama, Holder, Reid, Pelosi, Frank, Dodd, Waxman, Durbin, Schumer, Boxer, Clinton (both), Rahm, Axelrod, Kagan, Graham, Grayson, and the list goes on, are all ready willing and able to move our Nation toward the abyss and are succeeding in doing just so, as the forces of reason and self-control find themselves increasingly outnumbered by those who are just getting fed up with the obvious attempt of the scum in Washington to destroy our once great Nation.
