Road Deaths Increase By 13.5% In 2012

By Semperpapa

A new report has been released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that tells us the number of vehicle fatalities in the first three months of 2012 has reached 7,630 an increase of 13.5% compared to the same period of 2011.

Of course the NHTSA, which is a government agency after all, is trying to spin this grim statistic in favor of Obama, stating that the increase, while regrettable, is not a surprise considering that the death toll on our roads has been declining steadily for some time.

The justification for the increase is placed by government officials in the economic recovery that has placed more people on the road and the mild winter experienced at the beginning of the year.
But of course! Obama economic recovery and global warming...that's right!

I see the situation in a much different way.
I travel the freeways of Southern California at least 500 miles every week and I have noticed not much of a change in the volume of traffic on the roads. Our freeways are pretty much a mess every day, rain or shine.
But what I have noticed is an increase of vehicular debris sitting on the roadway. Actual large pieces of cars littering the side of the road and testimony to some small, recent fender bender.

The real problem is that the cars we increasingly see on our roads are made out of plastic. A minor collision with these vehicles results in the cars to be completely smashed and large portions of them to make up the new roadside landscape.

I find it amusing riding my motorcycle to pull up next to, for example, a Smart car and realize that my bike is 1 1/2 times longer, and I really pity the fool driving that contraption should he or she ever hit or be hit by another vehicle.
The modern cars, designed on the basis of weight saving to increase gas mileage and conform to CAFE standards, are literal death traps. There still are large 18-wheeler truck on our highways and a collision with one of these cars has only one result.

Interestingly, one of the many things I have noticed on the road is that many people, who thanks to the disastrous economic conditions we find ourselves in, have resorted to place back on the road some of their old cars from the 1980s and 1990s. So many of us cannot afford to purchase a new vehicle, so we hold on to our old ones longer and the cars of those decades can also bring a lot of pain to the little cardboard boxes roaming around the roads these days.

Small cars kill people and they should be banned. If every person on the highway drove full size SUVs and trucks, many lives would be spared.

Senator From California Shows The Extent Of Her Ignorance

By Semperpapa

This time is the senior senator from the corrupted state of California, Dianne Feinstein (I know, you thought I was talking about Boxer, but I said ignorant not dumb).

An FOX News Sunday with Chris Wallace, she came out strongly, in the wake of the massacre in Aurora, to make her and her liberal friends case for more gun control.

Now, I understand that at the breaking out of the news from Colorado, the liberal morons all came out of the woodwork crying for more gun control, but she proceeded to make statements that are absolutely wrong.

In the first place, she called the rifle that the scumbag was carrying an assault rifle. This is a fallacy that annoys the hell out of me. What is an assault rifle?
The liberal moron cannot even define it, because they consider an assault rifle anything that resembles a military weapon.
Not too long ago, Obama prohibited the return to the United States of thousands of M1 Garand WWII era rifles from South Korea. The idiot justified his decision by classifying the weapons as, you guessed it, assault rifles.

The ignorance of Feinstein is appalling. She referred to the AR-15 the scum was carrying as an assault rifle, a weapon, I am paraphrasing, that has only one use which she defined as close-quarter combat, and therefore not needed by the common citizen.
Considering that the Military versions of the AR-15 are being used by our Soldiers and Marines to take out enemy at distances of hundred of yards, it appears that the moron senator does not understand what "close combat" is really about.
And there are many commoners who use these "assault rofles" for hunting, due to their light weight and precision. But what would Feinstein know about that. The only thing she knows is how to use her political clout to benefit the business dealings of her husband.

Actually, the tactical 12ga shotgun and the .40 cal pistols are more apt to close combat than an AR-15.

I merely watched a small portion of the program. As soon as the idiot senator made her moronic remarks and neither Chris Wallace or the other senator being interviewed called her out on the preposterous statement she made, I just turned the set off, so to avoid me screaming at the TV.

But the fact is that many in the positions of control and in the media are on the same page as far as their desire to abolish the 2nd Amendment. It is imperative for these bastards to disarm the people, as it is a necessity in order to destroy the principles of our Nation.

Forget The NRA. The Real Gun Lobby Is The American People

By Semperpapa

The statement was made by, I believe, FOX News commentator Charles Krauthammer in the days following the Aurora massacre.

And it is right on target!

There is an innate feeling of respect for the United States Constitution still remaining among the American people, even as the current regime in Washington, from the Executive to the Legislative to the Judicial, continue to find ways to destroy our founding document, especially when it comes to the Second Amendment.

Many Americans are still convinced that the maintenance of all the other rights in the Bill of Rights is intrinsically connected to the existence of the Second Amendment. Yes the National Rifle Association is the physical presence in Washington for the safeguard of this essential right of the American people, but the NRA would not have the power that it has if not for the support of the American people.

I am not an NRA member, mostly for personal reasons that transcend the mission of the association, but I am in complete accordance with the principles of the group when it comes to the safeguard of my rights to own and bare firearms.

But the true lobby for the 2nd Amendment is us, We the People, who are consistently bent on insuring that the political experiment called United States survives the continuous and relentless attack from the forces of Communism and Fascism.
Over the course of centuries, the first thing that despotic leaders had to achieve in order to control the masses was their disarmament. Obama and his ilks are bent on doing just that, but it appears that the American people will NOT go quietly.

Just a report today states that the sales of firearms in Colorado, monitored via the number of background checks requests to the ATF, has skyrocketed since the massacre in Aurora, a trend that has occurred after every mass murder in recent times (Columbine, Virginia Tech, Ft. Hood, etc.)

Now, why would that be the case?
Simply explained, the average person feels that there is a potential need for law abiding citizens to be in the position to defend themselves and their families from criminals.
As the saying goes "when seconds are of the essence, cops are only minutes away" and it is a truth that only liberal fickle minds cannot accept.

Sure you may have idiots like mayor Bloomberg and Jason Alexander and Bill Press calling names and all the other things they do in order to bring some attention to themselves, but in the final analysis, the American people just tell these fools to go pound sand every time they open their mouths.
And the morons do not get the message and foam at the mouth every time a tragedy like the one that unfolded in Aurora occurs. The truth of the matter is that these fools could not care less about the lives lost in Colorado and instead rejoice as the expendable little people who got killed there represent the necessary collateral damage to achieve their agenda.

Ultimately, while the NRA is the representative of the American people who do not want the Second Amendment violated by a tyrannical government or a criminal (not much difference there anyway), the true strength of the people resides in the people themselves and in our Constitution.

Had Enough With Campaign Civility

By Semperpapa

I was in perfect agreement with the campaigning rhetoric being toned down after the news of the murderous attack against innocent people in Aurora, Friday night. I thought it a good social move on the part of Obama and Romney to sort of dial back the vitriol of the campaign. Of course, it would have been nice if the anti-gun freaks, Mayor Bloomberg and the other usual freaks, would have received the White House memo before opening their stupid mouths, but we can have everything, can we?

But now, I have had enough of the fake civility. As much as my heart aches for the victims of the massacre and their families, the faith of the rest of our Nation is still in the ballot outside of Colorado.
Romney praising the president for stopping in Aurora, something the alleged leader of a Nation should be doing anyway, and all the nice photo ops that were realized by the visit, all while Obama is on what appears to be a monthly trip to California to collect his dues from the libtards of this state.

What all the speeches and photos and contrived looks do not change is the reality that there still is a national security necessity to insure that Obama does not get another four years to destroy our nation.
Nothing in his behavior in the last 72 hours changes the fact that his intentions to nullify the Constitution and destroy the free market system in America, is as strong as ever.
Yes, Obama may refrain from openly joining mayor Bloomberg invoking the death of the Second Amendment, but he is doing so strictly for campaigning reasons. Obama determination to take away our right to bear arms is total, folks, and don't let anything distract you from that potential second term certainty.

I have had enough of Romney praise of a president that on the surface actually acted as such for the little people of Colorado, and I believe it is time to re start telling the American people that our beloved Nation cannot afford four more years of Obama under any circumstance.

Evil Achieving Celebrity Status

By Semperpapa

After three days of uninterrupted media coverage of the massacre in Aurora, Colorado, the angle of this whole affair that is increasingly annoying me is that the scumbag responsible for the pain and suffering of so many innocent people, has achieved a level of notoriety, a celebrity status that is turning me off any media coverage.

No so-called information outlet can be accessed without having the evil face of the douche bag filling the visual space and the name being thrown out.
It might have been necessary to show the guy's mug for investigative purposes, but the fact that no report can be watched without his picture appearing, tells me that the media have decided that the murderer will achieve celebrity status.

Not on this blog.
I will never spell out his name or shown his picture with one exception: if the media ever shows the bastard being injected with the lethal cocktail he deserve and slowly dying, I will rejoice and show it for anyone to see. The only notoriety this evil scum deserve is the image of life leaving his miserable body.

I am also in awe of the extent that news outlets go to fill air time. Expert after expert being interviewed to give us a "glimpse" in the mind of evil, why he did what he did, why he did it when he did.
And of course the usual misuse and misinformation about all the things surrounding the case.

You know who has a lower approval rating than Congress? Yes, the so-called media.
There is no longer any professional integrity in the industry, as demonstrated by the actions of ABC Brian Ross, who, in his zealous attempt to vilify Obama's political opposition, the TEA part, took it upon himself to throw out in the wind the name of a gentleman who had joined the grassroots movement and who had the misfortune to share the same name with the murderer.
Sure, the allegations were retracted eventually, but no repercussion is going to be felt by the reporting liar Ross. Credibility of these people is already so low that it would go into the negative.

Attacking Small Businesses

By Semperpapa

President Obama addressed some supporters in Virginia and went on the attack against small businesses, obviously forgetting that our economy is vastly based on the prosperity of small businesses.
Or maybe he did not forget but instead was transparent, finally, about his personal believe that small businesses are to be destroyed in order to create the dependency on the government he seeks.

During his unhinged address, Obama stated:

"There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me -- because they want to give something back.  They know they didn’t -- look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own.  You didn’t get there on your own.  I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart.  There are a lot of smart people out there.  It must be because I worked harder than everybody else.  Let me tell you something -- there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there".

Really, Mr. President, with all due respect, you are truly full of it. Just because you never had a real job, just because you always attached yourself to the government tit and abused the system as a way of life, it does not mean that you have a slight clue of what you are saying.
In the first place, what do you really know about running a business? With your super cushy schedule of golfing and rubbing elbows with brainless celebrities and stealing their money, vacations and fast-food escapades, you are once again highly unqualified to make any sort of judgement on what business owners experience when trying to make a successful enterprise.

And who are these wealthy, successful Americans you speak of?
Buffett? Inmelt? Ted Turner?
Please, spare me the crap. These are individuals who not only have used and abused the capitalistic system while trashing it at the same time, but also have been found that their idea of "giving back" did not involve paying the taxes they were due, let alone wishing to pay more to the government.

He then added:

"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help.  There was a great teacher somewhere in your life.  Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive.  Somebody invested in roads and bridges.  If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that.  Somebody else made that happen.  The Internet didn’t get invented on its own.  Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet".

Again, I am shocked (no, not really) about your lack of any cognitive understanding of how an industrialized society, a successful industrialized society really works.
If you want to play that game, then you surely understand that the roads and bridges you speak of were built with equipment that small businesses, not government, invented, designed and manufactured.
And regarding the emergency services you and your freakish stooge Elisabeth Warren allude to, are also able to do their priceless job well thanks to the private enterprise.
Cops can respond to emergency calls and protect the citizens thanks to equipment designed and manufactured by small businesses, including those big bad guns that the Secret Service protects your sorry ass with.
Firefighters can rush to an emergency on trucks and again with equipment that was designed and manufactured by small businesses.

Effectively, the government produces nothing. When roads and bridges are built, they take taxpayers' money and give it to small businesses to do the actual construction.

But yes, I do not expect anything less divisive from a president that has no class, besides having absolutely no clue about what you are doing, except that I see a sinister agenda from the man. Hopefully I am wrong.

Responsibility Of The American Citizen

By Semperpapa

It is quite common within a society that the responsibility of its citizens takes on a contorted meaning, or more likely understanding, on the part of its citizenry.
According to the Declaration of Independence, our Founding Fathers considered an unalienable right "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
These were rights, among others, that the Founders considered to be gifts given to mankind by their Creator and not by a supreme government.
At the same time, the responsibility for seeking such rights was left to the very citizens of the new struggling republic. Sitting back and being handed our rights was not the intent of the Founders, because the moment we surrender our right to pursue happiness, the moment we relinquish the involvement in safeguarding our Life and Liberty, we in effect give up our rights as free people.

In the United States, the Founders recognized the danger of surrendering to the whims of a central government, after all the very inspiration of the American Revolution had been the rejection of a despotic system represented by the British monarchy.
King George and his ruling was not as physically oppressive, in the sense of indiscriminate imprisonments, massacres or torturing, as it was an economic oppression. As colonies, the American subject states were to subsidize the royal coffers in the form of taxes, practically forced to forgo their pursuit of happiness for the benefit of a corrupted royal society thousands of miles across the ocean.
We have all heard that the spirit of the Revolution was "Taxation without representation", which basically meant that the colonists wanted a voice in the type and amounts of taxes the King was imposing.

The political experiment that America became was really based on the ability of the citizens to check the power of the government, to have a say in the level of control and the level of taxation the central government had over the people.
But with the ability of citizens to have a say in the level of intrusion from the government, came the necessity of the citizen to accept its responsibility in the process.
Hard work and integrity; individualism and strong sense of community; compassion and patriotism. But, most of all, a driving need for self reliance.

And that is where our society has deteriorated into a social nightmare closely resembling the very European social nightmare we fought a Revolution against.

We have become a society where we expect the government to take care of us from cradle to grave. For some of us, the answer to every desire is the heavy hand of a government that will give us the means for a comfortable life without us having to participate into it.
May it be because of laziness or because of a liberal progressive fostered sense of entitlement, so many Americans today are convinced that the subsidies they receive form the government are due to them, that they are entitled to.
Universal health care is not a constitutional right, and yet so many Americans today are convinced that the government owes us medical care coverage. The role of our government in the medical coverage of its citizens is to maintain a national economic status that encourages and facilitates the individual to pursue its own medical coverage. When the private sector is inspired to develop and individual entrepreneurship is fostered, the ability of the individual to work and have medical coverage is greatly enhanced.
Also role of the government is to lend a helping hand to those Americans who fall into hard times and are in need of a way to get themselves back to self reliance.

What we are witnessing now is a dangerous reversal of conduct. We currently are looking at the government to give us "free healthcare", whatever that means.
In the first place, nothing is free. Anything provided by the government for "free" has a price tag. We can pay for it by allowing the government to increase our taxes or by the government printing more currency, or borrowing money. Or a combination of all three.
In the first instance, politicians are always happy to increase taxes, because by doing so they are able to line their own pockets and setting themselves up for a nice, luxurious living (of course always crying they are doing so for the good of us, the little people).
In the second instance, printing currency indiscriminately creates massive and destructive inflation.
In the third case, we borrow money and incur a debt that is so large that it compromises our National security.
Right now in America, the Obama regime, and not just Obama, have utilized all three methods resulting in an economic condition that is truly horrible. To aggravate the issue, the current regime has embarked on a anti small business campaign that I do not believe has any precedent in American history.

Similarly, the new fad in America is the right to a college education. Nowhere in the Constitution says that the American citizen has the right to a college education. Looking at the demonstrations from the radicalized student groups and the Occupy misfits, it is really mind boggling to even being forced to defend the position that the community, the taxpayers, are in any way responsible for the repayment of student loans, or to foot the bill for the education of anyone.
If one wants to attend college, that is their right. But the demand for me to pay for that choice is a blatant and illogical infringement upon my rights.
I find it unacceptable that my tax money needs to be raised because some individual decides to enroll in Chicano Studies or Conflict Resolution graduate school. Even if the course of study is Medicine or Engineering or Law, the burden of that cost should be left to the individual attending the school. If that individual cannot afford the school and the prospect for financial return for the repayment of a student loan is not there, that the individual must find alternative ways to fulfill their options. But certainly NOT on my dime.

The role of a government, as intended by the Founding Fathers, is to safeguard the ability of its citizens to achieve individual goals, in response to each citizen's ability to pursue such goals.
Just because I need and want a new car, it does not mean that I can actually look at the government to provide me with one.
The next time that some liberal tells you that the proverbial "rich" must pay more of his earned income to subsidize the habits of those who spend their lives with their hands extended, palms up, just tell them that you will be more than happy to take some of their possessions and re-distribute them to those who have less then them. And see what their reaction is.

The responsibility of the American citizen is to conduct his/her life in the most ethical and constructive possible way. Such responsibility also includes the dedication to the safeguard of the Constitution as the guiding set of rules necessary for the survival of our unusual political experiment.
In 1776, safeguarding the idea of America and rejection of despotic control, brought an armed Revolution that gave life to the best country that ever graces this planet of ours.
In 2012, specifically November, the American people have the chance to continue the revolution they started in 2010 by rejecting the anti-American, anti-Constitutional ways of a regime bent on dividing the American people for the purpose of conquering us.
Let us not fail in such national mandate. It's up to us. Our responsibility as American citizens.

Dems Cry About Campaign Funding…No Really!

By Semperpapa

If this is not a pure case of the pot calling the cattle black, I don’t know what is.

Senior White House advisor David Plouffe was on ABC “Good Morning America” lamenting the fact that Republicans supporting Romney are trying to purchase the White House.

“You’ve got a few very wealthy people lining up trying to purchase the White House for Mr. Romney,” Plouffe said “We’re going to have to have everybody out there who wants the president to continue to a second term to step up and help the campaign.” …

“The real new dynamic in this race is obviously the super-PACs, and we have three or four Republican super-PACs at any time spending tens of millions of dollars aimed at the president. So that’s what’s really new in this election cycle,”

And added:

“Money matters in politics. We’re running a great campaign, we’ve got millions of volunteers out there registering voters, donating $25 or $50, but you’ve got to have enough money to run a one-year campaign and our big concerns are these super-PACs.”

How disingenuous are these liberals? The level of hypocrisy appears to have no bottom limit.

The complaint comes from a political machine that in 2008 raised over $108M for the real purchase of the presidency.

These are the same folks that continue to steal the money of union workers at will, thanks to the criminal corruption of union leadership.

And these are the same scumbags who come to California almost every month so that the good-for-nothing Hollywood deviants can purchase a dinner plate for $40K.

There is not end to the hypocrisy of such crowd. And the worst part of it is that they have the balls to actually go on national Obamamedia and be able to spew such crap in the face of the American people without any repercussion.

I am not sure why I keep on being surprised by the boldness of liberal hypocrisy. After all I should be well used to it by now.

Hurray For China

By Semperpapa

This is another demonstration of two major facts in Washington:

One: the inhabitants of that city live in a parallel universe;
Two: here is another consequence of the major mistake America made in putting such an extreme radical in the White House.

I have written recently about an episode of Chinese greatness in the application of the one child policy. It is also well known that there are many individuals who are actively doing the political bidding for the Obama regime, who have openly praised the Chinese government model as opposed to that of the United States.

Well, not to be undone, another of the Obama stooges has come out in praise of the Chinese totalitarianism.

This time is none other than the Transportation Secretary, Ray LaHood.
Yes, my friends, an appointed member of the Obama cabinet has made some statements during an interview with The Cable during some festival of ideas in Aspen, Colorado.
Here is part of his statement:

“The Chinese are more successful [in building infrastructure] because in their country, only three people make the decision. In our country, 3,000 people do, 3 million. In a country where only three people make the decision, they can decide where to put their rail line, get the money, and do it. We don’t do it that way in America.”

Adding:

“Two years ago, between 50 to 60 Republicans were elected to the House of Representatives to come to Washington to do nothing, and that’s what they’ve done and they’ve stopped any progress. Those people don’t have any vision about what the government can do. That’s been a real inhibitor in our ability to think outside the box and think big,”

Now, some of you will welcome the words of LaHood as the true essence of progressive thinking. After all, what would be more progressive than the elimination of cars and the need to drive? What would be more progressive than eliminating the necessity for commuting and owning of a vehicle?

Stalin accomplished a lot of that during the Industrial Revolution when he forced millions of Russians to abandon their farmland and move into the crowded urban centers to be available labor for his factories. Those who refused, perished by the hands of the State or by starvation.

So, what is really Mr. LaHood saying? Very simply put, for the realization of the agenda of the progressive Transportation Secretary, and inherently of his king Obama, the fact that the United States still has some resemblance of democracy is a hindrance to progress.
Yes, my friends, the mere possibility that We the People may have a say so in the spending of billion of dollars we DO NOT HAVE on projects We the People DO NOT WANT is really a sad sign that the progress of the Obama authoritarian agenda is not free to take place.

The exaltation of the Chinese infrastructures by LaHood is actually amazing. Just four years ago, when the Olympic Games were held in Beijing, the Chinese authorities were faced by the lack of water availability for the Olympic village, due to the poor infrastructures in place.
So the Chinese authorities solved the problem in true democratic fashion: they forced water that would be going to thousands of rural farms outside the Chinese capital to be re-routed to the Olympic village. It must have been the three people LaHood is so hot about to decide that the lives of thousands of farmers was merely justifiable collateral damage for the false image of the State. Thousands of farmers lost their crops and their livelihood and starved to death.

Well, hurray for China!

We the People are faced today by the same problem. Here in California, Gov. Brown is adamant in the realization of the bullet train between Los Angeles and San Francisco, a project that is not only unnecessary, but a project the state cannot afford. And for whatever is worth, the people do not want.

On a more general line, it becomes increasingly necessary that We the People make our voices heard next November. Romney may not be the first of my choices, but it is absolutely imperative that the Obama regime is sent to the hash heap of Socialist regimes.
LaHood is an appointed bureaucrat of Obama and, for my personal analysis, his agenda is that of Obama.
Ultimately abolishing the Constitution and centralize power in the Executive branch is the only true design of this group of radicals. This regime has infected the executive and judicial branch. In 2010 we demonstrated that we were not happy with Congress.
In 2012, we must insure the power is removed from any of those who want the open destruction of the American way, regardless of their party affiliation.

It’s time for revolution.

Crying For My Country

By Semperpapa

July 4th, 2012.
This is my 32th Independence Day celebration since I had the immense blessing to be able to come to the United States as just another immigrant, a legal immigrant.
It was a year long grueling process, but worth every minute and every cent of the effort, because the prize at the end of the story was the fortune of becoming an American.

In the time preceding my departure from Italy, there was another aspect of my effort I had to deal with on the part of my peers: derision.
It was the days when Jimmy Carter was President, and throughout the world, and in Italy too, United States had lost the respect it had taken so much blood and treasure to gain. Many arguments were started and finished with friends and family about why I would want to leave Italy and come to the States.

In reality, the prospect of being able to build a life for myself was the driving force. Building a life where I would be able to reach the level of comfort and self reliance I wanted according to the amount of hard work I was willing to engage in. The alternative was to remain in a country where any potential future was tied to luck, cronyism and a class position dictated by false social standards.

But my fortune did not stop there. The year following my arrival into a country with double digit inflation and unemployment, America elected Ronald Reagan as President.
I was not able to ever vote for Reagan as I became a U.S. citizen in 1985 after his re-election, but I wish I could have. During President Reagan's time, this young man who spoke no English and who came to a new world with less that $200 in his pocket, was able to find employment, get married and have a daughter, and start a family and a truly meaningful and self reliant life.

And the United States was once again respected in the world.

In comparison, almost all those who had expressed their derision toward my choice back in Italy, were still living with their parents unable to find meaningful and sustained employment. The handful of those who did accomplished it via cronyism and in any case leaving Sicily for northern Italy anyway.

Today I cry for my country. The changes I have seen in the last 32 years are astonishing and depressing.

In those days, no person would care if the celebration of the 4th of July included fireworks. Today we have radical individuals who accuse the behavior of being war-like and therefore should be abolished.
All the while, an out of control federal regime is preventing a city in Oregon to conduct their annual firework display because some sea birds may be affected.

In those days, the produces we bought at our supermarkets were grown in central California, just as were the produces being enjoyed by millions of people across the world.
Today, the same areas have been reduced to mere arid deserts by government environmental terrorism that placed the discomfort of a two inch fish above the livelihood of millions.

In those days, our school children recited the Pledge of Allegiance as a mere form of respect toward the history of our Nation.
Today, just trying to show a child the need to respect our country is called indoctrination.

In those days, the presence of the Ten Commandments, or the Nativity at Christmas, or even the Christmas tree was just a distant historical reference to the Judeo-Christian roots of our Nation, while today the same symbols are used by radical individuals as a tool to erode the very fabric of our country.

But possibly the most disturbing difference I see is the classification of our society.
In those days, I never felt that our population was distributed into social classes. One of the most attractive aspects of American society for me was the absence of such compartmentalization.
I come from a country where social classes are diseases people live and die from. Being born in a certain class is a stigma that follows the individual from the moment he/she comes out of the womb to the moment they are put in their grave. It is a prison that no amount of hard work, intelligence and dedication is able to eradicate.
If one was born within the high class, regardless of the level of dysfunction they exhibited, they would be revered and respected. Being born in the middle class kept you pretty much confined within the boundaries of that class, never capable to aspire to anything that did not conform. Being born in the lower class meant a stigma that would follow you for ever.

When one is born into such environment, it is very difficult to look at the issue with a discerning eye. We are used to the system and to survive within we must accept it. My personal problem was that I could not accept it and fought against it every occasion. Of course, I could not influence such an embedded dysfunction, so I had the chance and fortune to come to a country where I could escape from it.

With time and much learning, I have reached my understanding of what the whole purpose of that system was. The government and the power forces of that country, from the local to the national, thrive on such classification, because the old strategy of "divide and conquer" is absolutely a must in order to control the masses and impose your will on them.
If you want to gain the favors of the lower class, you pin them against the high class.
If you want to gain the favor of the middle class, the most populous, you pin them against the high and the low classes.
There has never been, to my knowledge, any socio-political force in Italy that has attempted to bring down the walls of social division between people. No government wants that, because a united people will not stand for the abuses that the corrupted politicians perpetrate against the people.

So today, July 4th 2012, I cry for my country, the United States of America.
The changes I have seen in the last 32 years are said to be "progress" for our society. And I cringe. And cry.
Is it progress that patriotism and love of country is continuously attacked as jingoism?
Is it progress that any religious symbolism is attacked and removed, regardless of its innocuousness?
Is it progress that the political leadership creates, fosters and exploits hatred between groups of Americans just for the mere seeking of political power?
And is it progress to systematically attack and circumvent the Constitution?

I am sorry, but if racial hatred is progress, than I want nothing to do with it.
If pinning the less financially endowed citizens against those who are called rich progress, you can keep it!
Why do I cry for my country? Because I have seen the results of divided citizenry on the lives of the people, I have seen the mediocrity of life such divisions bring and it is destructive.
Allowing the government to put a wedge between groups of people is subscribing to the demise of a society.

America was somewhat immune form this menace, mostly because our system used to place greater importance on the power and freedom of the individual.
When the individual is free to live his life in the manner of his choosing, with minimal intrusion from political entities, the individual is more apt to come together with the community when it is necessary, when the Nation requires it.

Today we have a government that thrives on blacks against whites, citizens against illegal aliens, rich against not-so-rich, men against women, and all for the purpose of gaining that block of people votes and gain power.
We have a government that boasts of the record number of Americans who are forced to depend on government aid. Is this progress too?
The main purpose of a government should be the protection of its citizens from foreign and domestic enemies and the creation of an environment that would foster the self-realization of each citizen.
That was the truth behind the Constitution, and that is the goal of the current regime for dismantling.
And I cry for my country
It used to be a stigma to be considered a Marxist in America until we elected one as President. I guess it is also progress that people affecting the lives of American citizens on a daily basis, are openly embracing Socialist ideology and vehemently try to impose their anti-American ideology upon the rest of the country.
Well, not the progress I want for my country.

Yes, I cry for my country, as my and everyone's liberties are taken away with the excuse that it is for my own good, that some pompous, elitist politician knows best what mine or my family needs are.

And I cry for my country because so many of its citizens do not see any problem with such a large percentage of Americans being forced to be dependent on the government for their livelihood.
The government is destroying the individuality of the American people, a gift that the Constitution gave us and a trait that has allowed this Nation to be exceptional in spite of its short history.

One-Child Policy: Communist China: Liberal Progressive Utopia

By Semperpapa

Just couple of weeks ago, the images and story of state forced abortion taking place in Communist China broke in our news cycle, even if very briefly (after all, nothing unrelated to and un-aiding Obama re-election takes up much of the media attention).

Just for some historical staging: Chinese woman Feng Jianmei was taken by officials, beaten and forced to abort her 7-month along fetus.
The reason for the Chinese authorities actions was that Feng and her husband, Deng Jiyuan, already had a child and failed to pay the hefty fine for being pregnant again with a second child, a clear and grave violation of Chinese population control policy.

Feng Jianmei with her aborted fetus
probably all part of the re-education process

The news today is that Deng Jiyuan has not been seen since he was summoned by someone in the local leadership. The man has net been seen since last Sunday.

To make things even worst, the rest of the family has been harassed by people organized by the authorities.
According to the latest smuggled news, the people of the rural area where Feng Jianmei and her family live, are being propped by the local authorities to demonstrate against the family with signs calling Feng and her husband traitors.

Moreover, Feng is still held in the hospital where she was forced to abort, basically a prisoner.

This is the liberal Nirvana. Communist China. Several Obamadroids, from Washington to the Media, are big lovers of Communist China. Even big Joe idiot Biden has expressed his admiration for the Asian giant, including its one-child policy that he would not be second guessing, so the story of Deng Jiyuan must be a welcomed proof that the Chinese approach to government, the Chinese attitude toward its people is an exemplary symbol of enlightened progressivism.

It is a shame that someone like Margaret Sanger is not alive today, able to witness the practical application of some of her eugenic visions. Sure, her defenders will call it crusade for women’s reproductive rights, but in between the fancy words it just comes down to the ability to legally terminate a life at one’s own whim.

I am positive that the Chinese approach is the ultimate goal of the liberal progressive of America, lead by Obama and flanked by John Holdren, Sebelius and company. One child per couple and if you get pregnant again you must pay hefty fines or abort the fetus.
Not really a big deal even for President Obama, who supports late term abortions anyway.
With such a deep love for the Chinese regime, American progressives should be more inclined to find the way to move to that country, so to be able to enjoy such a utopian society, one they appear to be so enamored with.

Instead, these miscreants are bent, and successfully I might add, to radically change our society, the American society, and mold it in the image of wonderful China. It is irrelevant that American principles are diametrically opposite to the immoral and constrictive mandates of the Chinese leadership, because according to the progressive leadership all the way to the White House, the will of the people is not relevant and, in any case, these erudite bunch knows better what is good for the ignorant, unwashed masses.

So here we are today, just in the wake of a despicable Supreme Court decision on Obamacare, which is giving unprecedented authority to the government in an area as important as health care and a definite forward step to the realization of a similar utopian American progressive society a-la-China.
Surely some people say it could not happen here in America.

Chief Justice Roberts has really created a legacy for himself!

We The People Will Fire You All

By Semperpapa

This is a promise.
You will not fight for conservative principles? You will endure the wrath of the people.

This is a message to the Republican morons in Congress!

Sen. Mitch McConnell is ready to wave the white flag on Obamacare. "it is going to be difficult" he states, urinating all over himself even before the fight has begun.
Well, time for this yellow scum to quit. If you don't have it in you to fight for the constitutional rights of the people, the very reason for your presence in the Senate, you should step down and go away.
It is bad enough that Congress is soiled by individuals like Pelosi and Durbin and Schumer and Snowe and Collins and Reid and so many more, but to have so called conservatives exhibiting clear traces of cowardice is way more than the American people should have to endure.

Boehner, Cantor and all the other "moderate" cowards, you all belong in the same category and just for once do the right thing and quit...go away.

And a word for Romney.
I don't really care what the hell you call this monstrosity. I don't care what the "political strategy" is, but you are warned that should you be elected president, and I sure hope so if nothing more that to watch the Obama regime end, you BETTER be willing and able to fight to repeal the whole damn thing.
If not, now is the perfect time to quit the race and let some real conservative take on the Obama regime.

We the People are fed up with the erosion of our liberties via the destruction of the Constitution.

If you are not willing to serve by the oath you took, get the hell away from power.

With all due respect, of course.
