This is the first of several pieces I will be writing to enumerate the reasons behind the necessity for America to once again stand up and fight.
When the casualties were mounting during World War II, and the telegrams continued to reach the folks at home communicating their loved one was KIA or MIA, the government put together films, some would call them propaganda, in which the reason for the fight was delineated.
The brutalities of the German and Japanese regimes were used for just this purpose, concentrating on the violations committed against US troops and civilians.
The effort increased as the war went on, even as victory appeared to be on the horizon, especially as Nazi concentration camps started to be liberated and Japanese POW camps were overrun and Allied prisoners freed, able now to recount the brutality of the treatment they received.
In today war, our government is falling short to demonstrate what is at play in our struggle against Muslim fanaticism. Once in a while, the Press, of all entities, gives people a glimpse of the reason why the civilized world has to stand up to the madness we are witnessing.
Following is a report that appeared on the BBC News from Pakistan.
Bombs and beatings: Life among the Taliban
In Pakistan an account of life with the Taliban has emerged from a 13-year-old girl called Meena, who says her own family tried to turn her into a suicide bomber.
There is no independent confirmation of her account but police say they believe she is telling the truth, and her information could be valuable.
Meena told her story to our Pakistan correspondent Orla Guerin (BBC News).
My brother used to tell me that the place for a woman is either at home or in the grave. I was always restricted to home.
He said: "If you leave the house I'll cut off your head and put it on your chest."
My brother had been to the local school and beaten the girls and the teachers.
He said anyone who wanted to study was a friend of America.
I wanted to be a doctor. I wanted it so much that once I dreamt I was sitting in a hospital, working as a doctor. I wanted to help the poor, those who cannot afford medical fees.
Taliban commanders used to come to our house. There was an underground bunker beside the house, with electricity.
It was concrete and very strong. Cars would drive on top but no-one would realise what was underneath. In that hideout they used to train suicide bombers.
Most were children of my age or younger than me. They were used for these activities because they were too young to know any better.
Going to 'paradise'
I used to see these children getting on a vehicle to go for their missions. They used loud Islamic CDs to motivate them.
And I would think, "My God, more Muslims are going to be buried". Then the news would come that more Muslims were wiped out.
My brother used to prepare bombs and my sister-in-law did too. He told me that he would teach me this. I told him no. I would not even look at what they were doing.
My father and brother told me to carry out a suicide attack. They were pressuring me to do this.
They told me: "If you do it you will go to paradise long before us." I replied: "Why don't you tell me I will go to hell long before you?"
Every day they used to tell me this. Every day. I was very young when they started telling me this. I said to them: "What about all the people I will kill? They are all Muslims."
They started beating me when I refused. They beat me non-stop. They made my life hell. I never had a single moment of happiness. They did everything other than kill me.
Bomber's medicine
They said: "The bomb will be connected with a button, or something like the remote control of a TV. We will give you this kind of remote, and you will go to the place.
"We will also give you a mobile, and we will ring that phone, and press the remote, and you will be blown up with this bomb."

They told me they would use such a large amount of explosives that no-one would even know if it was a man or a woman.
They told me that I had to do it.
There was a kind of medicine they used to give to the bombers that made them go around smiling, in a trance.
They said they would give me that medicine, and then I would go running to die - with a smile. I was so scared I decided to prepare my own tea, and my own food.
I was afraid they would mix that medicine with my food.
Sister's story
They attached a bomb to my sister Nahida. They tied rectangular pieces to both her arms, and a black strip was wrapped around both her legs.
Then they connected the whole thing. She told my brother the bomb was heavy and she could not walk.
He said she would be comfortable once she was sitting down in the car.
They gave her medicine. But she was crying very loud for my mother. She kept going to her and hugging her. When my sister looked down at the bomb, she shivered.
Then my brother and my father started beating my mother, and they were shouting: "Why you are distracting the girl from her mission?"
I heard my sister saying: "Where is Meena? I want to see her." But I didn't have the strength. My heart couldn't take it.
My mother fainted when they put her in the car. My brother said my sister's attack was in Afghanistan.
I always think about my sister. She was healthy and a very nice girl. She was younger than me, but she was wiser. My mother used to tell me that I was an idiot, but she was very wise.
A 'lucky' goat
My brother was involved in the Khyber Bazaar bombing (in the frontier city of Peshawar in October 2009, in which more than 50 people were killed). It was discussed in the house.
When someone was sent somewhere they would talk about the target.
They would say: "We are sending this group there."
After the bombings they would celebrate. They would garland each other with flowers as people do when they come back from the Haj.
When [former Pakistani Prime Minister] Benazir Bhutto died my brother started calling everybody. They started firing, and saying "Benazir has died, Benazir has died". Everybody started firing - they celebrated until it was very late.
My brother visited a friend's house after many years and was given a goat and a motorbike which he brought home.
They used to get animals as gifts because there were so many Taliban to be fed. He asked me to take care of the goat but she ran out of the gate. I went after her.
Our house was on a ridge. There was a stream down below. She went down to the stream and I followed her. A plane came making a lot of noise, and vibrations. (This was an attack by a helicopter gunship.)
When I looked back up to my place all I could see was a lot of smoke rising. My house was turned into rubble.
I didn't have a clue about how many of my family members were dead or alive. Since that place was full of arms and explosives I could hear big bangs.
Then I started walking and by the evening prayers I had reached a local town.
People say I have a strong heart. I've had to be strong. What can I do? God won't even let me die.
If my brother gets hold of me, I will poison him and myself.
The Taliban slaughter other people's children. They turn women into widows. They should be made to suffer too.
I want these Taliban to be burned alive.
I do not want the people of Afghanistan to live like Americans. That is not the goal of our fight against Islamic terrorism. The main goal of the fight we are in is to rid the world of such garbage, to cleanse humanity of people who have no respect for the life of innocents.
For all who apologize for the behavior of these animals by saying that those are their ways and beliefs, that we have no right to interfere, that we are imperialists, I say that for Hitler the extermination of the Jews and the "undesirables" was a deep conviction, that culturally for the Japanese anyone who surrender was not deserving of any human respect. They absolutely believed in that.
So, following the apologetic logic, the Allies should have not intervene then. We should have not interfere.
We knew in the 1940s why we were fighting. It is time we realize why we are fighting today!

Lech Walesa on America

Lech Walesa is the Polish leader who in 1980 led the movement in Poland called Solidarity. It started as an act of protest on the part of the shipyard workers in Gdansk, Poland, demanding better treatment on the part of than Communist leadership.
The movement started by Walesa became a symbol of resurgence of people behind the Iron Curtain in revolt against the oppression of their Soviet puppet governments.
Even under the ever existing danger of a Soviet intervention to prop up the increasingly unpopular Polish pro-Soviet government, just as it had happened in Hungary in 1956 and Czechoslovakia in 1967, Walesa and his followers pressed on, eventually winning freedom of self-determination for the people of Poland when elected President of the Republic of Poland in 1990.
So Lech Walesa is connoisseur of struggle for freedom, of imprisonment and political persecution. And he has always spoken openly about the symbol of hope the United States represented for those seeking freedom and independence across the globe.
For such reason the following statement made by Walesa about America just few days ago is the more eye opening:
The United States is only one superpower. Today they lead the world. Nobody has doubts about it. Militarily. They also lead economically but they're getting weak. But they don't lead morally and politically anymore. The world has no leadership. The United States was always the last resort and hope for all other nations. There was the hope, whenever something was going wrong, one could count on the United States. Today, we lost that hope.
And these are my thoughts!

Rahm vs. Eric: Clash Of The F-ing Titans

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is at odds with Attorney General Eric Holder over the AG decision to try the 9-11 masterminds in federal courts.
This according to an article from the magazine the New Yorker. And for any person that does not go any further than the headline, for any person who avoids reading into the article and is opposed to the irresponsible actions of Holder, it may seem that Emanuel is taking the high road when it comes to the security of the Nation.
The truth is a different one. Yes Emanuel has declared his opposition to Holder's misguided decision, but not for the same reasons that the majority of America is. Rahm's motivation is purely political.
Good old Rahm, in between f-ing this and f-ing that, was able to explain that Holder’s decision of bringing the Islamic terrorist responsible for the 9-11 attacks to federal courts acted as a turn off for those Republicans the Administration needs to accomplish the closing down of Guantanamo Bay Military prison.
Specifically, Emanuel is now afraid that Obama’s promise of closing the Gitmo facility will turn into the next failure of an administration that already has numerous failed campaign promises. In particular, Emanuel concern is that Sen. Lindsey Graham will withdraw his support to the closing of Gitmo as the senator has spoken and demonstrated his personal opposition to moving terrorist trials in US criminal courts.
The South Carolina RINO Graham has been a supporter of several Obama decisions, including the confirmation of Sotomajor to the Supreme Court. Obama and Emanuel counted Graham in the bag, but it now appears that the RINO is out of the bag and that the calculations made by Obama to put America on trial via the actions of Holder is going to backfire on the whole gang as Graham told the magazine that bringing Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and his accomplices to New York, to any Federal court was a non-starter.
Emanuel opposition is purely political, not at all connected to the fact that the actions of Holder and his boss on the subject of the treatment of Muslim terrorists, is counterproductive to the safety of the country. As a good Chicago two-bit thug politician, Rahm only concern is the achievement of his and Obama agenda, regardless what the price is for that accomplishment. After all, according to Emanuel himself, we would not want a f-ing crisis to go to f-ing waist. So the f-ing party was spoiled by f-ing Holder and now the f-ing Republican f-ing senator is going to f-ing hold out his f-ing support.
I really feel sorry for Rahm. Of all the plans to ruin the country, Obama and he have only achieved the semi-destruction of our economy, skyrocketing unemployment, increase vulnerability to our enemies and the alienation of the majority of the American people. But so many of the campaign promises have crushed and burned and Gitmo must have been one of their favorite.
F-ing Holder!

What's Up With Las Vegas

Once again President Obama made a statement seemingly describing he has a personal issue with Las Vegas.
Just about a year ago, Obama made the following statement:
"You can't get corporate jets. You can't go take that trip to Las Vegas or go down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayers' dime,"
On Tuesday Obama took on the Nevada city again with this statement made at a town hall in New Hampshire:
"When times are tough, you tighten your belts, you don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don’t blow a bunch of cash in Vegas when you’re trying to save for college."
Ok, so the part regarding the boat is fairly a non-starter. Of course one would not go buy a boat when barely able to pay the mortgage. No, one abuses the system until the Government buys you one.
But it appears that for Obama, Las Vegas represents the essence of what must be avoided. For those who are against gambling, the agreement may be quick and heartfelt, but the fact remains that gambling is legal in Nevada and Las Vegas is a city whose economy is based principally on such activity.
So for as long as people can gamble in Las Vegas without breaking any law and without impacting the rest of the population, I believe that Obama singling out the city as he has done, is mingling in the affairs of people which is not very well received by, you guessed it, the people. Not to mention that when it comes to irresponsible spending Mr. Obama should not give advices.
I am not a gambler, because I do not gain any satisfaction from depositing the little extra money I occasionally have on some casino table or in some slot machine. But that is my own personal choice and I do not subscribe to the notion, so prevalent among Liberals, that what it is not good for me SHOULD NOT be good for anyone else. That is the type of elitist attitude that turns my stomach every time I listen to Obama and his type of people.
After the latest Obama attack on Vegas, Sen. Harry Reid came out of his coma long enough to state that Obama should lay off the city.
Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman stated that…
”when he comes I’ll do everything I can to give him the boot back to Washington and to visit his failures back there”
Obviously Mr. Goodman was not amused by Obama comment nor impressed by the back pedaling the White House is doing.
And Nevada Governor Gibbons was also quick in condemning the President’s remarks by stating that…
“Doesn’t President Obama know that thousands of families in Las Vegas are suffering because of his failed economic policies?”
alluding to the devastating impact Obama’s policies have had on the economic welfare of thousands of people in the city and across the state.
So what is Obama’s problem with Las Vegas? Is it the gambling? The Show Girls? Too many non-echo friendly lights? He doesn’t like the desert?
I do not have the answer, although Islam opposition to two of the above may be influencing Obama’s judgment and actions, and we want to keep them happy.
One thing I do know is that there are many folks in Las Vegas who do not like Obama, but they DO know why.
And these are my thoughts!

One More "Bush Did It"

Opposition to holding terrorists’ tribunals in US soil is mounting. Several Democrats have come out questioning the soundness of the decision made by Attorney General Eric Holder to charge terrorist in Federal courts. Apart from the infamous terrorists connected with the 9-11-01 attacks, Holder has come under pressure for the actions taken on the Nigerian terrorist Abdulmutallab who tried to blow up 300 people on Christmas Day 2009.
Several US Senators have requested that the AG would explain his decisions on the handling of Abdulmutallab and Holder responded via a letter written to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and others.
In the letter, Holder defiantly states that he and only he had made the decision regarding giving the Panty Bomber criminal rights instead of allowing the Military to take custody of him. He also stated that he had done so after consulting with “all other relevant departments of the government”.
The letter goes on citing political gain as the reason for the attacks he had received for his decision. Interestingly, several Democrats have expressed their disapproval also, which blows a hole in that assertion. Not to mention that the heads of Homeland Security and of several other Intelligence departments were not consulted in the process.
Then there is the usual “Bush did it” ever useful defense. Holder states that he did not see any protest when previous administrations employed the same tactics in the past, using the Criminal Justice system to handle terrorism against our Nation, in Holder’s opinion successfully.
In the first place, I am really tired of the excuse of “they did it too” as we are dealing with the lives and security of the American people. I can accept that excuse from a school child, not from the people in charge of a whole country.
Yes, other administrations have done the same and the result of such a “successful” approach was the loss of near 3,000 on September 11, 2001. The failure to realize that America was at war and that we were not dealing with just an obnoxious band of criminal scoundrels is unforgivable.
How disheartening it is for the people to hear that the actions of Bill Clinton, when it came to pursuing Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda, being described as successful. Treating the threats from Islamic terrorists as law enforcement issues cost the lives of thousands of Americans, and the blame also rest on President Bush for continuing the practice after being elected until that infamous day in September and for any similar handling afterward.
I do not particularly care to exonerate one administration over another when it comes to the protection of our Nation. Anyone who has failed at what should be the most important job of their position, should be taken to task and held accountable, regardless of political stance. The failures of past administrations are responsible for not only the innocent American lives lost, but also for the lives lost on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan as the proper recognition of the threats and proper confrontation of them at the right time, could have been much less expensive in terms of Military lives lost.
The worst part of the whole debacle, though, is the return of the current crowd in power to the handling of Muslim terrorism, of the war we are in, as a law enforcement issue. I hear pundits use the cliché phrase “back to a 9-10” mentality and that is what transpires from the actions of Obama and his cronies.
The continuous apologetic attitude demonstrated by the Administration toward the real threat of Islamic Fascism is mind boggling, giving life to insinuations about Obama that are not good for the purpose of uniting the country on the face of a very determined enemy.
And if you question my assertion, just read the report on the Ft. Hood massacre put out by the government, a report written by someone I thought had some integrity, Togo West, and massaged by the administration to include no mention of the religious connotation behind Hasan’s actions. And these are the people in charge of protecting the country from Muslim terrorists!
One thing that is a marked difference from 9-10-01 is the awareness of the American people, the determination of millions to be on guard personally in protecting our country. This element was missing on 9-10-01, but is alive and growing today.

And if you question my assertion, just read the report on the Ft. Hood massacre put out by the government, a report written by someone I thought had some integrity, Togo West, and massaged by the administration to include no mention of the religious connotation behind Hasan’s actions. And these are the people in charge of protecting the country from Muslim terrorists!
One thing that is a marked difference from 9-10-01 is the awareness of the American people, the determination of millions to be on guard personally in protecting our country. This element was missing on 9-10-01, but is alive and growing today.

Countdown In Iran

We are watching right now an example of the failed Obama policy toward the Islamic Republic of Iran. Ahmadinejad, that country lunatic, is hinting about some major show of Iranian power coming up on the 11 of February, as a celebration of the anniversary of the Islamic revolution.
As the date approaches, and the only good thing the Obama administration has done toward Iran, additional Patriot missile systems are being deployed to the region, while the US Navy is drastically increasing its presence in the Gulf to be ready to counter any belligerent move the nutcase of Teheran may decide to make.
It is fortunate that it appears the administration is allowing those in command in the region, namely Gen. Patraeus, to actually prepare for the eventuality that Ahmadinejad would actually decide to do something stupid. And it is my hope that should he do so, hell on Earth would descend upon him.
In some sort of a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Ahmadinejad declared that on the anniversary of the Islamic revolution in Iran he would deliver a harsh blow against “global arrogance”. Of course the target of such blow could be easily identified with the state of Israel, which the Iranian lunatic has threatened repeatedly with destruction.
As much as my concern for Israel is very high, I also recognize that that country is not a sitting duck. I am positive that the Netanyahu government has not been sitting idle and instead has been preparing for just about every contingency coming from Teheran.
The quietness we have been exposed to from the Jewish state may be a coincidence, but I am of another opinion. With Obama in the White House and the open pro-Islam stand taken, the government in Tel Aviv must be preparing for a confrontation that will see it practically alone against its enemies. It would not be the first time, but I seriously doubt that the country will just sit back and allow the Iranian government to act with impunity.
What is more of concern to me is the presence of thousands of US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, which could be in serious danger if Ahmadinejad and the theocracy in Teheran would decide to embark on a apocalyptic confrontation.
Thousands of troops could be lost before the Obama administration could react, even if inclined to do so, unless Gen. Patraeus would be able to respond without the delay inherent to an order from Washington. Is Gen. Patraeus in such a position? I pray to God he is.
So we are counting down until February 11 to see what Ahmadinejad may have up his sleeve. Personally, waiting for this Nazi like maniac is not ideal, but I also recognize that the conditions on the ground in Iran are such that a pre-emptive attack may actually be counterproductive, as it could have a reverse effect on the people’s nationalistic spirit.
It is also my opinion that if the Obama administration would have had a more supportive stance for the demonstrations following the fraudulent elections last Summer, if he would have just embraced the traditional role America has had of supporting the freedom of people across the globe, the Iranian people could have a different reaction and internal opposition to the theocracy would, in the end, save countless lives.
There is also the very likely possibility that the threat from Ahmadinejad is an empty one. The problem remain that this nutcase is one who appears to subscribe to the notion that he is the 12th Imam, that he is the arm of the prophet or something like that, and such level of insanity is what makes him and all the Islamic fanatical terrorists, a real and present danger to America.
Counting on a bluff on the part of Teheran is not in the best interest of the United States and its security. Besides the religious fanaticism that characterizes the Iranian leadership, there is also the cultural aspect, where the rhetoric must be followed by action in order to save face. So if Ahmadinejad made such a threatening declaration, I expect some action to take place, the only variable remaining being the gravity of the action.
