It appears that the flatulence of patrolling Marines in the barren deserts of Hellistan is offensive for the locals, so the Pentagon is set on stopping such behavior.

OK, now that you have read the ridiculous, here is the serious.
I have been a long time supporter of the action in Afghanistan and of the idea of taking the fight to the enemy. There is only one way to deal with folks who fly planes into buildings full of innocent people in pursuit of some religious martyrdom, and that is to go to their homes and kill them.
But now I am tired of this bullshit!
I am tired of a government that has no clear agenda about winning a war that must be won. The stooges in Washington are only interested in "ending" the war. As I stated in the past, and as it was stated by much more experienced folks than I, a war is not "ended" it is either won or lost.
The crap I read about the way our Military has to fight this war is infuriating. Just yesterday, as I attended a memorial for Fallen of Operation Enduring Freedom, I was told by the parents of an Air Force JTAC currently in Afghanistan, that during the month of Ramadan that just ended, the base commander would not allow our Military members to have hot meals as a sign of respect for the local religious activities.
This is the type of bullshit that tells me that the war in Afghanistan will never be won, that the end result of it will be the same as Vietnam and that it is time for our Best to come home.
Names keep on being added to the list of Fallen and Wounded, and what we are worried about is our troops offending somebody by farting?
We are concerned about offending people who consider a normality to stone women for the stupidest of reasons? Or beheading people for what they may say that can be construed as offensive to Islam?
I find offensive that these people use handicapped people to carry out suicide bombings. I find it offensive that suicide bombers approach checkpoints manned by our Marines holding children by the hand, knowing that our Marines will not indiscriminately shoot children, killing our Marines.
There is something definitely wrong with the way the war is being conducted. We either seek victory or we must take the troops home. The current administration has never mentioned the word "victory" so I am inclined to believe that it is not the goal, therefore I say BRING OUR TROOPS HOME!

Accepting Shariah Law Into The United States

Now of course I am not as intellectually capable as the author of this piece, an assistant professor of religious studies at Yale, but I have no reservation about refuting the message that this guy is sending.
In my opinion, the problems with the Jewish population the man is describing taking place in Europe in the past couple of centuries was more of an economic one than religious. Religion was used as an excuse to mask the envy that the imperial houses of the old continent felt about the ability of Jews to be aggressive and successful in commerce.
Even so, the application and following of what Stern calls Jewish Law, was not so radically different from the normal laws followed by the Christian population of Europe.
My understanding is that with the exception of observing the Sabbath, which Stern mentions himself in his article, the Jewish population did not expect special treatment from governmental entities, nor it considered or demanded that their laws would supersede those of the countries they lived in.
Regardless of whatever false excuse Adolf Hitler used to convince the German people that the Jews were conducting socio-economic covert warfare against the people of Germany, it was a misconstruction that had no basis on reality, but only propaganda.
What Prof. Stern is telling us is that American rejection of Shariah law is a crusade, a word that goes beyond the mere rejection of the radicalized form of Islamic law, but a word that has extreme inflammatory significance for Muslims, a crusade against Islam and a refutation of the basic democratic principles of American traditions. Stern is practically telling us that the true exhibition of American exceptionalism would be to become tolerant and embrace the directives of Shariah law.
The part of the article that appeared to me as a telling example of naivete is the following:
"...Given time, American Muslims, like all other religious minorities before them, will adjust their legal and theological traditions, if necessary, to accord to American values..."
What is Stern really saying? Is he calling for allowing Shariah law to supersede the laws of the country in the hope that at some point the followers of Islam will change them to conform to American judicial guidelines? Well, that is what I read into these words.
I find it interesting that someone who is supposed to be so intellectually erudite on the subject of religion could actually believe that followers of Islamic Shariah would modify their beliefs through social osmosis by living in the United States.
The basis of Shariah, as lay men like me understand, is the total submission of all people to its guidelines.
All non believers are to be either exterminated or enslaved, unless they convert. And even in the case of co-existence, the infidels still have to live by Islamic law and pay ransom.
For how long would Mr. Stern allow honor killing to go on before he believes that the followers of such practice would voluntarily depart from it? How many women would the good professor be willing to sacrifice in the name of tolerance?
Shariah law represents the antithesis of the values of our Nation. It is not merely a religious issue, but it widely spills into governmental realm.
Islam, and Shariah particularly, is a social, economic and military ideology masqueraded as religion. Its principles are diametrically opposite of the guidelines of the United States Constitution in both social and economic aspects.
Shariah is government. Its proponents and followers only want Shariah to be the law for every citizen. In times where Christianity is openly maligned and being pushed out of the American people lives, in times when crosses are being removed from the side of highways because they supposedly represent a state endorsement of religion and therefore found offensive, what this professor is invoking is a greater acceptance of a religious ideology that is based on social oppression. Sorry, but this lay man finds this lacking of any common sense.
I am sure that Prof. Stern has all good intentions behind his beliefs as expressed in this article. It would certainly be wonderful if Shariah law was just one of those religious models where the peace and prosperity of all people would be most important. It would be wonderful if Shariah law would promote the same tolerance for other religions that Stern is advocating to give it. It would be wonderful if Shariah did not promote a culture of death.But reality is much different. When apologists like Stern state that the radicalized element of Islam is only a small part of the totality of otherwise peaceful Muslims, they are just grasping for a naive solution of a definitely much greater problem.
Considering that the Muslim world population is of about 1.4 billion people, what is that percentage? 1%? 5%? 10%? Math is not an opinion, unless you are a liberal.
Disturbing to me, not a big fan of academia, is the fact that ideologies like the one proposed by Stern is being taught to the new generations. Here is an assistant professor who surely conveys his misguided and naive ideas to young, impressionable minds. Sure it all sounds so good and fits perfectly with the "make love, not war" still permeating colleges campuses, but when these ethereal concepts go awfully wrong, when the forces of evil gain footing and power, it is mostly the non-academia American that has to clean up the mess.
If Prof. Stern would be attacked for being a Jew by someone who believes that Shariah law gives him the right to kill any Jew, the good professor would not ask his students for help, but he would call one of those blue-collar, not-so-educated police officer or soldier to put his or her life on the line to save his elitist life.
This is typical of academia, though, and we, the population at large, must recognize it. Our duty as Americans is to inform ourselves about the realities that Stern is ignoring, because, if and when the time comes, sheep like Stern will be the first to be sacrificed by the enemy.

Obama's Jobs Speech: Change All? Or Not.

The famous "jobs speech" that Obama promised before going on his vacation may not be the hyped up "save-all, change-all" performance after all.
Sure he postured as if this speech would be one of revolutionary impact on the abysmal employment situations in America, but now it is being downplayed by the regime and the media. The expectations of the American people need to be reeled back, as the guy does not have a clue after all, nor do any of the obamadroids in his administration.
Aids to the president have already stated that as much as the speech will be important, it will be only a pat of the overall strategy Obama is advancing. The speech will not be demonstrative of the entire approach, so, the aids warn, do not expect a solve-all performance.
What I see is a politician with absolutely no idea of what he is doing or what he wants to do. This guy is only guided by those who pull his strings and guide him into his disastrous policies.
They told him to stop the EPA regulations, because he was loosing among the so-called undecided voters, not because these regulations would cause thousands more jobs to vanish.
He does not care: federal agents raid an American corporation with guns drawn because Gibson is alleged to have violated Indian laws, the country of India laws, regarding the importation of wood for the guitars. And if the company moves its manufacturing to Madagascar, the government is telling Gibson CEO, the factors of the investigation would just go away. But what about the 1,100 workers of Gibson? Who cares, give them unemployment for two years and tell them they need to vote for Obama for more.
Coincidentally, Obama will be leaving for California, Colorado and Washington right after the speech, on some more fundraising activities. When in doubt, Obama can always come here to California so that the Hollywood elite can idolize him and dish out $37,000 per couple to have dinner with the guy.
And what about the unemployed Californians? Eh, screw them! Let them eat tofu.
Yes, this speech will not be anything of substance as usual. It will have the same empty platitudes that the American people have been listening for two and a half years; there will be the usual "blame Bush" portion; there will be the usual "bad luck" complaints against the Japan earthquake and tsunami and the unrest in the Middle East; and we will surely hear, squeezed somewhere in there, that the reason he has not been able to fully dedicate himself to the creation of jobs was because he was too busy killing Osama bin Laden.
Plus Congress is obstructing him because he is black.
Oh well, just another speech from President Obama that will have the same effect of trying to make a whole in the water.
At least, we will have the NFL opener to take our dumb minds off the issue.

...And A Happy Labor Day To You, America

It is just fitting that the latest job report for the country comes in on the Friday prior to the Labor Day holiday.
ZERO job growth for the month of August.
But so what. Remember? According to the thankfully former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, unemployment is good, because it gives the unemployed people the ability to explore their dreams and interests. That may work for that member of the political elite who also happens to be one of the richest members of the political elite.
Well, there sure are millions of Americans who are currently able to explore their personal interests. So maybe what we will hear from Obama in his job speech is that taxes must be raised for those of us who produce so that the dreams and aspirations of the unemployed can be fulfilled more adequately.
Billions of dollars in stimulus, a deficit that is crippling the Nation's financial basis and governmental regulations that are further strangling the small business sector are creating conditions like this.
So happy Labor Day America, especially to those of you who were stupid enough to vote for Obama as president and for liberals in general from both parties. Enjoy your day off and make sure to bask in the destruction that liberal progressivism is causing our once great Nation.

Taxpayers Funding Of Illegal Aliens University Costs Is Almost Here

Just as I hinted in my past post on 25 August, the California version of the DREAM Act is getting closer to become reality.
The California State Assembly passed the law on party lines just yesterday and if the piece of legislation clears the State Senate, as it is predicted thanks to the overwhelming liberal presence in that body, it will go to Governor’s Brown’s desk for a quick and sure signature.
The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act (DREAM Act) Part 2 will allow illegal aliens to have access to taxpayers’ funds to attend institutions of higher learning in the state. According to the reports, they, meaning the illegal aliens, will be able to petition and receive financial aid after legal citizens applications have been addressed.
Proponents for this atrocious legislation, like Assemblyman Ron Calderon, a democrat, sustain that the legislation is about promoting success and achievement. Calderon also says that hard working young people should not be punished for decisions made by their parents.
Opposing voices maintain that even without considering the fact that the state finances are so dire that there is no money for such foolishness, it is appalling that the already scarce resources available would have to be even further thinned out because of such type of legislation.
It is a travesty that is going to have repercussions across the state, because the next step for people like Gil Cedillo and organizations like La Raza, will be to bring up the “fairness” of illegal aliens having to wait their turn after legal citizens. If the criminal status of illegals is ignored and public funds are to be given to them, then forcing them to wait their turn is obviously discriminatory. And some progressive judge will surely concur with that accusation.
So there you go. Illegal aliens will be given money that working Californians have earned legally. And what happens after? What happens when these hard working students graduate? Will they be allowed to compete for jobs with legal citizens even if their immigration status prohibits them from working in the United States? Oh, you can bet your ass! And they will be given the right to vote too, because, after all, that is the progressive agenda. And screw the law!
This legislation is financially unsustainable and legally wrong. It will cause another can of worms being open with additional chance of fraud and favoritism. But as long as the moronic people living in this state will continue to place criminals into office, things will only get worse.

At Least They Tried

We have all seen the video of the New Jersey National Guardsmen that got stranded in high flood waters while attempting hurricane Irene rescues.

A lot of hoopla has been made of this video, but what angered me the most is the mocking tone that criticism has taken.
Listening to the jackass taking the video reminds me of one of the reasons our great country is in the place it is right now.
Instead of recognizing that the Guardsmen were at least trying to do their jobs in obviously dangerous conditions, instead of aiding them and being concerned about their safety once things showed not to be going all that well, the moron resorted to name calling.
The vehicles the Military was using is a specialized one that is designed to handle those very same conditions. It has been used by our Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan where water was only one of the dangerous components of the mission.
That the effort was thwarted by the excessive depth of the flooding does not diminish the fact that these Guardsmen at least tried, while the dumbass with the video camera was safe and dry.
I don't know about that particular unit, but it is a very good possibility that some of those soldiers have completed one or more deployments to combat zones, doing work that regular civilians cannot even fathom. They did it, while the rest of us enjoyed the "tribulations" of our daily life.
In this particular case, all I can say is that at least they tried, a lot more that can be said for the idiot taking the video.
