It is finally here! My website is finally up and running and I hope that all of you will enjoy visiting it anytime you are in the mood to read my rants and to gain some information from the links I will try to have.
What is SemperAmerican.com?
Well, the best description I can give you is that it is a blog, not unlike many others out there on the Internet, with the exception that this is mine and those who know me understand what I mean by it. I am gaining nothing from this website, nor do I intend to revolutionize anything. The main and only intent is to share my views and opinions (hence the “Just My Thoughts” heading, as they are my very own thoughts) on events and issues that I deem needy of being addressed.
Although I am conservative, I feel that no party really represents me at this time in the history of our country. Because of the impossibility to identify with a specific party, I call myself an American Conservative, which basically is just the short for someone who loves his country and hates for his country to be attacked and vilified by any enemy, being foreign or domestic.
My allegiance, as it hopefully will become clear as you will endure my rants, is to my country, to the Military and to freedom. These three factors are, in my simple mind, one and the same as they are closely intertwined.
You will most often read my assertion that this is “my country” and I would like to expand on this notion a bit more. When I call America “my country” I am expressing my belief that as a legally immigrated and naturalized citizen, as a long time lawful taxpayer and one who deeply believes in the rule of law, I have earned the right to claim my infinitesimal slice of the United States of America. So when I use the term “my country” it is definitely not related to my belief that the United States is my property therefore its system has to accommodate my needs and wants, but it relates to my belief that as a member of the American society in good standings, I have all the rights and duties that being a law abiding citizen are bestowed upon me by the sacred document called Constitution of the United States of America.
As I would not ever think of having the right to deprive someone else of his or her Constitutional rights, I also want to warn anyone out there that I will NOT tolerate my rights to be violated.
In my website every opinion will be welcome in the form of comments. But I want to make sure that all understand that this is MY website and I retain the right and privilege to post a comment or not. I am definitely interested in people’s opinions (that’s the secondary reason for starting this) as I believe everyone has the right to have them, but I will draw the line on comments that I deem offensive. Who decides that a comment is offensive? Well…ME! Remember, MY site?
That is correct, I will NOT tolerate these types of comments and they will not be allowed on the site, making their way into the “delete” infinite file:
Racial invectives (if you have a problem with a specific race, go find another site, I am sure there is a dark place for you);
Violence incitements (if you want to perpetrate violence on someone, go somewhere else, but leave me your name, address, and victim’s name, so I know what to tell the authorities);
Personal insults (you may not like what I say, but calling me names will get you rejected. I have thick skin and can take criticism as long as it is intelligent, which should eliminate about 80% of all Liberals out there);
Anti-Americanism (by this I mean any unfounded, uncorroborated or destructive comment about my country).
As this is, I think I made it clear, MY site, the rules of engagement are always up for review by me and they may change as I move along.
Just remember that I value your opinion and I have no problem with disagreement, but I do have a problem with people who cannot think for themselves and therefore use some specific political party guidelines to make a point.
My intention, and primary reason for this website, is to tell you how I see certain issues and get you thinking about the same in case you did not think about. The operative term is THINK. God has given us the great gift of a discerning brain and it is really a shame that so many in America these days do not take full advantage of such gift.
My intention is also to entertain a little, but not being a funny guy to begin with, I apologize in advance for failing at it.
I am planning to add and subtract to this site along the way as I have many ideas that I am working on.
So for now hold on and I really hope you enjoy and pass this website address to as many people as you can.
God bless America, the Military and their families.
