Giving America A Reprieve

By Semperpapa

President Obama is set to get few million additional voters under his belt by any possible mean, legal or illegal, but the state of Arizona and its Governor Jan Brewer has given America a reprieve by passing the anti-illegal immigration bill SB1070.

What the Arizona legislation has done is to renew the attention of the American people toward the problem of illegal immigration. Much attention and greater scrutiny has been given to the actions of a reckless federal government and the fact that the Obama administration is heavily counting on some sort of amnesty for the millions of illegal immigrants in the United States in order to insure their support at the polls in November.

In substance, what the Arizona bill has done is to awaken the American people and bring a magnifying glass upon the actions that the Obama criminals in Washington were planning on doing, which was the sneaking in of some sort of immigration reform legislation that would simply translate into a massive voters registration effort for the Democrat Party to counter the anti-incumbent sentiments that will surely dominate the November elections.
The Obamadroids were blindsided by SB1070 forcing them to seek even greater division among Americans in order to create an even greater state of chaos in the country.

It also brought the attention of the people upon the issue of Executive Order.
The possibility of Obama issuing an Executive Order to grant amnesty to all illegals has begun to surface. Had it not been for the increased attention sparked by SB1070, Obama would have just been able to sneak it through and, as it happens so often these days, the American people would have woken up one morning to such an unconstitutional move and have no recourse about it.

Does anyone believe that Obama would not just do so if the issue of unconstitutionality was so apparent?
But now it has been brought up that an Executive Order granting amnesty could be ground for impeachment, so America may have gotten a reprieve from another disastrous Obama action.

My sincere thanks to Arizona.

Just my thoughts.

Kagan The Destroyer

By Semperpapa

Hearings for the confirmation of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court have begun. The Senate hearings are necessary to find out if the candidate is worthy of the nomination, and, by all reports, the belief is that Kagan will sail through them and be confirmed to the highest court of the land.

Republican senators are telling that they will be grilling the candidate on several issues that are unclear regarding her position. But why is her position on issues important?
Is it not the job of a SC Justice to interpret the US Constitution?

But Ms. Kagan is not just another nomination to such position, she is the second nominee from Obama in his attempt to change the composition of the court into a radical, activist legal body.
Ms. Kagan is not a judge and therefore there are no previous decisions that could shed a light on her position on many of the controversial issues of our times.

In her previous job capacity as Solicitor General, for example, Kagan stated that regardless of the sanctity of freedom of speech insured by the First Amendment, the government has the right to ban political pamphlets. Considering that the First Amendment was introduced in the US Constitution specifically to give the ability to Americans to express their opposition to the government without fear of reprisal, the position of this woman is not encouraging.
Will the Republican Senators ask her to explain her statement?

Kagan also has a negative opinion of the Second Amendment. She compared the National Rifle Association to the KKK, she argued against the legal action of the District of Columbia to lift the ban on handguns and she contributed to many of the anti-gun measures the Clinton Administration succeeded to cram down the throat of the American people.
So she is a supporter of the freedom of Americans to own their firearms, of the right imparted by the United States Constitution to Americans via the Second Amendment.

Simply said, Kagan is not a big fan of the US Constitution, as the very two first Amendments are truly at the basis of the entire document, as our Republic cannot exist without the absolute adherence to freedom of speech and the right to bear arms.
As a matter of fact, there could not be a First Amendment without the Second.

Kagan also appears to be a fan of the possibility that foreign law could be used by judges to approach judicial issues in American courts, as she clearly express in a letter to Sen. Arlen Specter and she championed as the Dean of the Harward Law School by changing the curriculum to include extended studies of international law.

And who can forget that, also as the Dean at Harward, she took it upon herself to reject the provisions of the Solomon Act regarding Military Recruiters on campus, only applying the law when the Government threatened the University with holding of federal funds.

All this information is out on the internet for everyone to see if one just takes the time to get informed. And if all Americans would take the time to gain knowledge of the kind of radical Kagan is, of the partisanship she would bring to the SCOTUS for years to come, of the demonstrated disregard toward our Constitution, Americans would be demanding that the Senate would reject this candidate.
But the American people will not heed the warning that many are sounding, their information based on the false notions advanced by the government owned MSM.
And not much help can be expected by the limp spines Republicans in the Senate, who will most likely not put up much of a fight for her confirmation.

So the Obama plan continues unhindered. Internal economic disaster; foreign policies designed to greatly diminish America’s influence and security; increased intrusion of government into Americans’ lives. All combined with the positioning of openly anti-Constitution and anti-America radicals in controlling positions across the government and the picture is clear.

The next step is the appointment of Kagan the Destroyer to SCOTUS and that is surely what the Thug-in-Chief is going to get. And the hell to the US Constitution.

While We Are Distracted

By Semperpapa

It has become a standard operating procedure for the current regime to come out with a distraction to detract the American people from the failures, the continuous failures, the current administration is gifting us with on a daily basis.
The image of Obama has been tarnished by the oil spill in the Gulf and by the recent revelations about his immigration policies, so it was only good time to distract the American people with the Gen. McCrystal saga.

Personally, every time one of these stories shows up, I am alerted to looking at the other stories, because when this president wants to hide something and/or get something done which he knows would not be very welcomed by the public, this is the MO.

So what is the McCrystal controversy covering up? Well, for one thing the obvious position that Obama has taken to utilize the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico as a political tool, in defiance of the obvious need to take care of the crisis and find a solution in the best interest of the people and, in this case, the environment.
But the oil spill is a perfect situation for Obama and his cronies to utilize this crisis to achieve multiple goals.
First, they get to inch their way forward into nationalizing the oil industry. Already great pillars of thinking like Rosie O’Donnel and Maxine Waters have been calling for it. And everyone knows that it is the ultimate Marxist agenda of Obama.
Second, Obama gets to vilify a large corporation, regardless of the millions of dollars BP has donated to Obama and the Democrats’ campaigns.
Third, Obama gets to pander to his environmental terrorists by issuing the ban on drilling. And even after a federal judge reversed the ban, energy secretary Salazar is still trying to circumvent the law and a federal judge by calling for a drilling ban.
And fourth, Obama is already using the disaster in the Gulf to push his Cap & Trade environmental agenda.

And the people are so distracted by the Obama dragging of the McCrystal’s issue that they probably missed the story about how the President is not allowing 2,000 skimmers to join the clean up because they MAY be needed somewhere else.

Then there is the illegal immigration fiasco.
Distraction may have prevented the American people to fully realize that Obama’s little puppet AG Eric Holder has declared his intention to file a federal law suit against the state of Arizona over SB 1070. And to add insult to injury, Mexico is aggregating itself to the law suit, leaving me slightly baffled about the possibility of a foreign country to sue one of the United States for a legally passed law. Or for anything else for that matter. It is inconceivable on what basis a foreign country would have any legal right to meddle in American internal affairs.

And if that was not enough, a piece of news showed up on 22 June about some Mexican gang bangers having set up observation posts in the desert of Arizona to monitor the moves of law enforcement to maintain a clear passage for the drug traffickers.
If this intelligence is verified, why isn’t our Air National Guard bombing these observation posts and wiping them out?

Instead, the American people are kept in the dark of the real danger we face as a country from the scourge of illegal immigration. And just as the oil keeps on spilling out from the ruptured well into the Gulf, the Mexican and OTMs continue to spill into our country and Obama has no interest whatsoever to stop either one.

Very little has been appearing in the MSM regarding the statement from Sen. Kyl about Obama refusing to secure the border until the Republicans in Congress will side with his intention to give amnesty to illegal immigrants.
Or about the warning the Mexican drug cartel has issued to the Nogales Police Dept. not to interfere with the cartel’s operation.

So there it is. While we are distracted by what the Obamamedia wants us to see and hear, the enemies of the country from the White House on down are working incessantly toward the destruction of our rule of law. How else one can describe the new hotline the WH has established for people to call and report cases where illegal aliens are not being paid a fair wage.
Sec. of Labor Hilda Solis presented the hotline in a video where she mentioned that even “undocumented” workers have the right to fair retribution for their labor.

Fortunately, as our country moves through some sort of parallel universe architected by the thugs in charge, regardless of the distractions, there are still those on the Internet who keep vigilant eye. At least while we still are able. Thank you, Al Gore.

Which Is The Bigger Deal

By Semperpapa

This is my question for the moment.

The head of BP was escoriated by just about everyone for going to his yatch race in Britain last weekend, and as much as I thought to be a very poor choice of public relation behavior, it sure pales in contrast to the poor choice that the Obama man does just about every weekend, regardless of the spin his obamadroids make of it and the Media cover-up.
Sure the BP guy went off to his elitist club function, but the man is not running a country. After all he is only a CEO and certainly not involved personally in the efforts to stop this disaster.

But Obama is supposed to be the leader of a country that has several problems, including the oil spill. As Obama went for his usual golf game, watch his ball game and took in some World Cup soccer, there are still two wars going on where our Military does not get to have a day off and there is an economic crisis that is approaching the point of a double-dip recession.
Not to mention the literal invasion of our country via the southern border, which he is using to push his amnesty agenda with at the expenses of American citizens.

But no good crisis should go to waste, as the memorable words of Emanuel clearly stated. So in my opinion, the big hoopla about the yatch race is only about distraction of the masses from the real issues our country is facing.
And regardless of the moron who states that Obama relaxation is "good for America" I am not impressed to say the least.

War Is The Answer, Sometime

By Semperpapa

From www.blackfive.net Uncle Jimbo

Suspected Taliban militants executed a seven-year-old boy in southern Afghanistan after accusing him of spying for the government, a provincial official said Wednesday.
The child was captured by the militants in Sangin district of southern province of Helmand Tuesday, Daoud Ahmadi, a spokesman for the provincial governor, said.
"The militants killed the seven-year-old boy in Heratiyan village of the district, on charges of espionage for Afghan government," Ahmadi said, citing information provided to police by relatives.

This is the answer to all those who say the war is not the answer.

Sometimes violence is the only element of human nature that can fix the wrongs of human nature.
Just as unmitigated violence was the only solution that Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan could actually understand, the devious approach of the Taliban and al Qaeda to human life in pursuit of their agendas has to be met with the same level of violence in order to convince these animals that American principles are alive and well, and that, in spite of Obama’s new world order, America still stands for freedom and justice.

So my question for those who believe that “war is not the answer” is this: what should be done about these animalistic murderers?
Of course the hardcore peace freaks will maintain that it is because of America that these acts of violence take place, more specifically because of George W. Bush, neglecting to admit that this kind of senseless killing was being conducted by the Taliban way before their alliance with al Qaeda and Bin Laden ever. So that excuse does not pass the smell test.

So what is the alternative to just plain exterminate these murderous masses? Sit down and talk?
Those who executed the 7-year old boy did just that with his family, conducting sort of a tribal trial of the little boy, before finding him guilty and executing him right in front of his family.

The only positive aspect of this tragedy, if one can actually find one, is that actions like this were instrumental in convincing the tribal elders of the Al-Anbar province in Iraq to participate in what became the Al-Anbar Awakening.
With the attempt at improving security and the populace witnessing such acts of terror, it may be possible to witness the common Afghan turning his back on the Taliban and recognize that there may be a better future for the people of Afghanistan in supporting a central government, even a corrupted one as the Karzai government, as corruption may be a better choice than the heavy murderous hand of the Taliban.

Novel Idea

By Semperpapa

This is definitely a novel idea brought to the world by the religion of peace.
The sound is in Arabic, but it has sub-titles, so it’s more important to read than to hear.

http://www.eyeblast.tv/public/checker.aspx?v=XdaGSUVr4z

Of course the progressive movement, and especially the feminist groups, would be more than open to the idea.
The UN would just be thrilled by the action as it fits the modus operandi of its own members, and the world media would be ready, willing and able to embed with the enemy.
And one more “diplomatic” mission Bill Clinton could definitely get behind.

It is obvious that this is an extreme view coming from just another nutcase, but considering the level of hatred that has elevated from every corner of the world against Israel for doing what it is lawfully entitled to do, nothing would surprise me in the least.

Homegrown

By Semperpapa

The NY Police Dept. just arrested two men as they were preparing to board two separate flights from New York to Egypt.
The two men have been under surveillance from authorities since 2006, when they attracted the FBI attention over some unspecified Internet activities.
The two men, 20-year-old Mohamed Hamoud Alessa and 26-year-old Carlos Eduardo Almonte, were allegedly arrested for their intention to make their way from Egypt to al Qaeda training camps in Somalia.

According to the Fox News report, Alessa is a Jordanian with dual citizenship (Jordanian and US) while Almonte is a US citizen. They supposedly grew up in the United States and are the latest instances of homegrown radicalized potential terrorists.

Details are still not available and mayor Bloomberg has not come out connecting the two to the TEA Party, and we can all be grateful for that, but it looks like the United States has a major problem that nobody in control is truly willing to address.
The forces of radical Islam that Obama, Brenner and so many other Washington stooges do not want to admit have been spreading their terrorist roots across our Nation, are increasingly showing up on the streets of America, and the problem is being ignored via a combination of sympathy and political correctness.

Some are sympathetic to the cause of Islam, not on religious grounds, but on philosophical ones. These are the people who have been indoctrinated by the anti-American establishment in control of the university system in America.
When young high school graduates enter college, these days, they have a fertile mind for leftist indoctrination, especially considering that many have grown up in homes where their Baby Boomer parents preached a basic philosophical disrespect for any of the principles of our country.
Once in the system, the indoctrination is constant and relentless according to the planning and goals of our enemy.
The progressive MO is clear. Masses must be divided and conquered, which is accomplished by targeting the individual soft spot, appealing to the need for some young people to belong.
Partition takes place on the bases of race and ethnicity (with groups like la Raza and Muslim Students Association), sexual orientation, political ideologies.
Once the students become engrossed in the activities of the group they joined, they are much easier prey of the radical ideology proponents, as the students are inundated with indoctrination.

Then there is always the political correct approach, which our enemies are so very fond of.
Americans have become afraid of any kind of labeling that may have negative connotations. Our enemies know that and that is why at the first inclination of disagreement, the labeling becomes the preferred tool. Words like racist and sexist and homophobes are constantly thrown into conversations.
If one disagrees with Obama, one is racist.
If one disagrees with abortion as a birth control device, one is sexist.
If one disagrees with gay marriage, one is homophobes.

Today, thanks to political correctness gone wild, we witness attacks against our national sovereignty, an invasion of our country, a violation of our borders and if we are against letting it happen, we are racist. We have teachers in the Los Angeles School District that openly preach for the “reconquista” of the south of the United States on the part of the Mexican nation, and nothing is done for fear of offending someone or violating their First Amendment right.
And I thought that openly speaking out for a militant, forceful call for take over of American soil was illegal…silly me.

Also today, thanks to the efforts of many years of infiltration, if we disagree with a philosophy that preaches death, beheadings, enslavement of women, the murder of all infidels and the indiscriminate and purposed killing of innocents, we are labeled islamophobes and intolerant.
And we watch our children being indoctrinated to hate our country, and the people in control do nothing, either because they agree with the agenda or because they are too afraid of being labeled.

How many people like Alessa and Almonte are out there?
Probably many, but the American people will not stand up and take notice until the civilian body count will start to make headlines, when death and destruction will directly affect their lives and freedoms.

Final Solution, Version 2010

By Semperpapa

Just as the summer temperatures are going up so is the tension in the Middle East between Israel and…the rest of the world, so it appears.

The raid conducted by the Israeli forces on the so called peace flotilla has been the catalyst of opportunity for the international community to descend against the Jewish state with such uniformity not seen in quite some time.

And why not, after all the major deterrent for most of the animosity against Israel has been removed, namely the United States of America.
A traditional and long time ally, the new regime in Washington has made it amply clear, in the last year and a half, that America was no longer the sort of big brother that had your back when the bullies decided to push.
Obama and his clowns have made sure, by verbiage and actions, the enemies of Israel understood that regardless of the actions taken against that country, America was stay neutral at best and pile it on at worst.

In such a climate of clear abandonment, the enemies of Israel have found sort of an undisclosed, tacit ally in their jihad against the Jews in the Obama administration. And naturally they are planning on exploiting the very favorable circumstances to the fullest.

Dr. Victor Davis Hanson, in an article titled The Turkish Government Global Arbiter Of Ethnic Violence analyzes the support that the now vociferous Turkish government is receiving from the international community in their outrage for the actions of the Israeli Navy. And the reaction against the raid, which was labeled as a poorly planned and executed operation by Israeli standards, more on this to follow, is, according to Dr. Hanson, quite disproportionate.

http://victorhanson.com/articles/hanson060110.html

One of the benefits of the US posture toward Israel is that the typically anti-Semitic world crowd feels truly reinvigorated in their quest for the destruction of the state of Israel and ultimately to finish the job that the Nazi tried to accomplish 60 years ago.
The United Nation was obviously ready, willing and able to immediately attack Israel. Not much of a surprise, as that international body has been notorious for its anti-Semitic leaning.
Obama and his clowns have been making timid statements, mostly denouncing the actions of the Israeli government.

Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer has written an interesting column on the subject.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/06/03/AR2010060304287.html

Can anyone argue with his conclusions? It is clear as day that the state of Israel is becoming increasingly isolated and targeted by a dedicated group of enemies that has been successful in creating an anti-Jew atmosphere, in Europe and even in America, not seen before since the Holocaust. And, most disturbingly, with the not always subtle blessing of a radicalized Washington establishment and the always ready media that consistently goes out of their realm of reporting in the attempt to shape policy.
That is how we are blessed with statements like the one made by Helen Thomas, who believes that the Israeli should “get the hell out of the area” and go back where they came from in Europe and everywhere else.
The veteran reporter sustains that they should go back to Germany and Poland, obviously forgetting that the last time Jews were there, about 6 millions of them were marched to concentration camps and gassed, which for Thomas must have been actually a good thing.

Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic wrote an interesting article while on assignment in Israel.
In the piece, Goldberg describes the general feeling of the people of the tiny country, a feeling of pain and humiliation.
The pain is for those soldiers that were wounded in an attack that was ill-planned by a leadership that allowed bunch of Islamists and their misguided supporters to ambush their commandos.
Goldberg writes of shameful embarrassment on the part of Israelis at the employment of one of the most elite units of their Military, Flotilla 13, in such an incompetent way, giving the enemy the ability to score a huge public opinion victory against the state of Israel.

The mission of the Hamas supporting peace flotilla was not humanitarian, and the people of Israel understand that, but a political one. It is obvious that the goal was to create a flash point aimed at galvanizing the world opinion against the Jews once again.
What is sadly different today is that Israel cannot look at Washington for any kind of support.
Allowing Iran to continue their march toward the acquisition of nuclear weapons knowing that the Teheran thugs would not hesitate to use it on Israel, while signing on the NPT (Non Proliferation Treaty) purposely aimed at hitting Israel, is a development that even the most conniving Islamic radicals could ever hope for.

This is the Final Solution, version 2010, ushered in by a US president who is only interested in ingratiating himself to the enemies of Israel and our country, by a Europe who has already surrendered to the forces of Islamic radicalism and an international organization of unimaginable corruption. The only difference between today and 60 years ago is the unwillingness of the Jewish people to sheepishly walk to today’s gas chambers without a fight.

At least I still have such hope.

From One Of The Useless Mouths Of The United Nations

By Semperpapa

It appears that the somewhat successful drone missions conducted by our Armed Forces against terrorists in Pakistan have motivated some United Nations tool to attack the policy.

A call for an immediate halt in drone attacks was made by an Australian professor, one Phillip Alston, in a report he filed as a special UN investigator on extrajudicial executions.

Here is the article.

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE65131220100602

What has struck me the most about the professor’s report is that he considers drone attacks only acceptable when the situation prohibits the capture of the target. He sustains that the US should, whenever and wherever possible, capture the terrorists instead of killing them.

Ok, I realize that this Alston is a professor and that I am definitely no match with this guy’s intellect, but I find highly irrelevant any of the crap that he is feeding the UN for the sole purpose of justifying the lucrative compensation he must receive for his so-called services.
I also realize that in his report Alston mentions other countries as culpable for the practice of assassination, but in reality, considering that the US is the Nation using the drone attack method, it is obvious that the report is targeted to the United States.

In the first place, when terrorists are pin pointed in the vastly remote and barred areas of Pakistan or Waziristan by drones flying at 30,000 to 80,000 feet, and when the closest Special Force or CIA asset is few hundred miles away, it is highly probable that the possibility of “apprehending” the terrorist is not a viable option. So the choice is that we either let them go and hope for a better opportunity for some good “mirandizing” in the future, or we just kill the bastards.

By show of hands: how many want the scum dead? I thought so.

Moreover, I am of the opinion that the good professor would be slightly more inclined to pull the trigger if it was his family at risk. It is very easy, as it is so often witnessed, for the elitist of academia to theorized the benevolent, touchy-feely approach when they are thousands of miles away from the dirt and blood of the battlefield, sitting happy in their plush offices, sipping on their soy-moka-cappuccino-light-on-the-non-dairy latte, contemplating which brainwashed young coed to woo and possibly get lucky with.

All the theories from ‘feel good’ scholars, amounted to absolutely nothing on a crisp September 11 morning, just as much as they mean nothing to the US Armed Forces sitting in the sands of Iraq and Afghanistan trying to accomplish their missions and stay alive at the same time.

And on a side note: professor Alston teaches at the New York University School of Law.
Are there any more doubts about the reasons for the new generation of college students’ anti-American stance? Alston is the example of the ideological corruption perpetrated by universities faculties across the Nation upon our young people.
Most of these seditious characters are from the Middle East, but, as in this case, they come from all over the globe.

Remember In November

By Semperpapa

Do you want to know how disliked the current Congress is?

If this is any indication, there are approximately 2,300 candidates for the 471 Congressional seats for the upcoming November elections. A record number of candidates who has not been seen in 35 years.

Granted that some of these candidates may be people trying to ride the leftist band wagon ushered in by their undying love for Obama, the majority of these candidates are common folks who just plainly have had enough of the direction Washington has been taking our country.

Most have no party affiliation, disillusioned by both political Parties shenanigans which have reeked such havoc on our economy and security.

And thankfully, there are many Veterans in the ranks of those seeking to continue to serve our Nation after stepping off the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan and out of their Nation’s uniform.
Please check out

www.wetsforfreedom.org

for ways to help elect Veterans to replace the inept members of Congress.

I am hopeful that the People’s cry of “Remember in November” continues to resonate on the streets of our Nation. The United States Congress is in dire need of a complete overhaul and we must accomplish the task in preparation for that day in November 2012 when We the People will hand out a pink slip to current occupier of the White House, sending him back to his pack of wolves in Chicago.

I WILL remember in November! Will you?

Preferential Treatment

By Semperpapa

Maj. Nidal Hasan made his first court appearance at his Court Martial in Ft. Hood, Texas. He is to answer for the massacre he committed last November when he walked into a receiving area at the Military base and opened up with firearms on the unsuspecting crowd, killing 13 people in the name of his religion.

What disturbed me was the first lines of the article I read, where it described the man being wheeled into the court room while wearing his Army uniform.
I may be all wrong in this, especially being a civilian, but I see that detail as a slap in the face of every soldier who wore the uniform with honor. What the hell happened to the stripe or orange jump suits? But, as I said, I may be wrong on this one.

The court proceedings got delayed upon the request from the defense, citing the need of extra time to analyze the documentation they received about the investigation including FBI ballistic reports.

As much as I understand the needs for complete adherence to legal procedures, I remain somewhat baffled by the time this case is taking to get to a resolution.
Dozens of eye witnesses, 32 of which will actually take the stand, should be enough to make this a close shut case. And the ballistic report appears to be just a delay tactic.

Which brings me to my thoughts.
Why is such a delay been allowed to occur? Is the politicized upper portion of the US Army stringing the case along to avoid being accused of bias?
I want to believe that the handling of crimes committed by radical Islamists is being hampered by simple political correctness and not by a concerted effort on the part of the political establishment, namely Obama and cohorts, to create an atmosphere of greater tolerance for Muslim criminals as opposed to the rest of the population, at least when it comes to political crime.

The New Black Panthers got their case dismissed even after a video was available as proof of their crime.
We have the Christmas wanna be bomber who was whisked away from the scene of the crime by Federal agents sent by Eric Holder.
We have the Times Square wanna be bomber, who was labeled by anti-terrorism members as a lone wolf and instead turned out to have connections with al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

And we have Abdulhakim Muhammad, the Islamic radical who gunned down Pvt. William Andrew Long in front of an Army recruiting office in Arkansas.
Pvt. Long only crime was his wearing an Army uniform, just like it was the only crime that the victims inside the Ft. Hood center committed.

Hasan is getting all the time he needs for his lawyers to drag the case at length, while Abdulhakim Muhammad and his crime has completely fallen off the media radar.
In both cases, the families of those who were killed by these Muslim radicals will never get a reprieve from a lifetime of grief and pain.
These men should have received the speediest trial, sentencing and execution in modern history, which is always more lenient than the execution they carried out upon their victims.
And that would be justice!

What Part Of "Illegal" Do We Not Understand?

By Semperpapa
I guess we got so used in the United States to have to press 1 for English that we must be losing the ability of understanding English.

The big controversy over the Arizona bill SB1070 appeasr to have exacerbated the issue of "illegal", but I believe that the real meaning of the word has been lost in the rubbles of our immigration laws.
Illegal, according to the Webster Dictionary means "forbidden by law or statute" and "contrary or forbidden by official laws and regulations".

When a police officer stops me for driving at an "illegal speed" it means that what I was doing was driving at a speed that is forbidden by the speed limit (regulation) posted. There is really no grey area in the matter: my action was illegal. I have to pay the fine or go to jail.

It is illegal to break into the neighbour's home and steal his property. Appropriating myself of someone else's property without consense is an illegal action. There is no grey area in the matter (although the government does just that every day) and I am to be held accountable for my actions.

By the same definition, crossing the border into United States without the permission of the US Government, in the form of a legal visa, is an illegal act. It is against the rules and regulations. And those found culpable of such illegal act should be held accountable for it.

It seems that the definition of illegal, though, has been manipulated in the case of the millions of illegal immigrants that have invaded our country.
Liberals want them all given amnesty, so to create what they believe to be their safety voting block.
Certain religious organizations, the Chatolic Church in particular, hiding behind the 'human decency' veil, wants amnesty, as the majority of the Mexicans illegally in the States brings much revenue.

As an immigrant, I know all too well the desire to come to the land of opportunity, but I waited my turn to do so legally and, once here, I strived to become an American.

What I find frustrating and repulsive is the attitude of those that protest the law, many of them illegal themselves, who approach the issue with an open "in your face" behavior that succeeds in turning off even those who want a amicable solution to the problem.
It is nonsensical to expect understanding and sympathy when those who are not even supposed to be on American soil, march on American streets demanding rights to which they are not entitled. And they do it while flying the Mexican flag!
But they are flanked by an increasingly corrupted and inadequate political structure and the pervesive cancer of political correctness.
And those who disagree, are racist. When all else fails, use the racist accusation.

Finally, a mention of those who maintain that the South of the United States belongs to Mexico and they are finally re-claiming it. Terrorist organizations like la Raza are in for a surprise, because Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and California are part of the United States, and We the People are not about to walk away from that fact.
Maybe the members of these organizations and all those who want to abolish the southern border should freshen up on the real meaning of two other words, which real Americans understand all to well: National Sovereignty!

Just my thoughts!
