Just as the summer temperatures are going up so is the tension in the Middle East between Israel and…the rest of the world, so it appears.
The raid conducted by the Israeli forces on the so called peace flotilla has been the catalyst of opportunity for the international community to descend against the Jewish state with such uniformity not seen in quite some time.
And why not, after all the major deterrent for most of the animosity against Israel has been removed, namely the United States of America.
A traditional and long time ally, the new regime in Washington has made it amply clear, in the last year and a half, that America was no longer the sort of big brother that had your back when the bullies decided to push.
Obama and his clowns have made sure, by verbiage and actions, the enemies of Israel understood that regardless of the actions taken against that country, America was stay neutral at best and pile it on at worst.
In such a climate of clear abandonment, the enemies of Israel have found sort of an undisclosed, tacit ally in their jihad against the Jews in the Obama administration. And naturally they are planning on exploiting the very favorable circumstances to the fullest.
Dr. Victor Davis Hanson, in an article titled The Turkish Government Global Arbiter Of Ethnic Violence analyzes the support that the now vociferous Turkish government is receiving from the international community in their outrage for the actions of the Israeli Navy. And the reaction against the raid, which was labeled as a poorly planned and executed operation by Israeli standards, more on this to follow, is, according to Dr. Hanson, quite disproportionate.

One of the benefits of the US posture toward Israel is that the typically anti-Semitic world crowd feels truly reinvigorated in their quest for the destruction of the state of Israel and ultimately to finish the job that the Nazi tried to accomplish 60 years ago.
The United Nation was obviously ready, willing and able to immediately attack Israel. Not much of a surprise, as that international body has been notorious for its anti-Semitic leaning.
Obama and his clowns have been making timid statements, mostly denouncing the actions of the Israeli government.
Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer has written an interesting column on the subject.

Can anyone argue with his conclusions? It is clear as day that the state of Israel is becoming increasingly isolated and targeted by a dedicated group of enemies that has been successful in creating an anti-Jew atmosphere, in Europe and even in America, not seen before since the Holocaust. And, most disturbingly, with the not always subtle blessing of a radicalized Washington establishment and the always ready media that consistently goes out of their realm of reporting in the attempt to shape policy.
That is how we are blessed with statements like the one made by Helen Thomas, who believes that the Israeli should “get the hell out of the area” and go back where they came from in Europe and everywhere else.
The veteran reporter sustains that they should go back to Germany and Poland, obviously forgetting that the last time Jews were there, about 6 millions of them were marched to concentration camps and gassed, which for Thomas must have been actually a good thing.
Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic wrote an interesting article while on assignment in Israel.
In the piece, Goldberg describes the general feeling of the people of the tiny country, a feeling of pain and humiliation.
The pain is for those soldiers that were wounded in an attack that was ill-planned by a leadership that allowed bunch of Islamists and their misguided supporters to ambush their commandos.
Goldberg writes of shameful embarrassment on the part of Israelis at the employment of one of the most elite units of their Military, Flotilla 13, in such an incompetent way, giving the enemy the ability to score a huge public opinion victory against the state of Israel.
The mission of the Hamas supporting peace flotilla was not humanitarian, and the people of Israel understand that, but a political one. It is obvious that the goal was to create a flash point aimed at galvanizing the world opinion against the Jews once again.
What is sadly different today is that Israel cannot look at Washington for any kind of support.
Allowing Iran to continue their march toward the acquisition of nuclear weapons knowing that the Teheran thugs would not hesitate to use it on Israel, while signing on the NPT (Non Proliferation Treaty) purposely aimed at hitting Israel, is a development that even the most conniving Islamic radicals could ever hope for.
This is the Final Solution, version 2010, ushered in by a US president who is only interested in ingratiating himself to the enemies of Israel and our country, by a Europe who has already surrendered to the forces of Islamic radicalism and an international organization of unimaginable corruption. The only difference between today and 60 years ago is the unwillingness of the Jewish people to sheepishly walk to today’s gas chambers without a fight.
At least I still have such hope.
Just my thoughts!
