After three days of uninterrupted media coverage of the massacre in Aurora, Colorado, the angle of this whole affair that is increasingly annoying me is that the scumbag responsible for the pain and suffering of so many innocent people, has achieved a level of notoriety, a celebrity status that is turning me off any media coverage.
No so-called information outlet can be accessed without having the evil face of the douche bag filling the visual space and the name being thrown out.
It might have been necessary to show the guy's mug for investigative purposes, but the fact that no report can be watched without his picture appearing, tells me that the media have decided that the murderer will achieve celebrity status.
Not on this blog.
I will never spell out his name or shown his picture with one exception: if the media ever shows the bastard being injected with the lethal cocktail he deserve and slowly dying, I will rejoice and show it for anyone to see. The only notoriety this evil scum deserve is the image of life leaving his miserable body.
I am also in awe of the extent that news outlets go to fill air time. Expert after expert being interviewed to give us a "glimpse" in the mind of evil, why he did what he did, why he did it when he did.
And of course the usual misuse and misinformation about all the things surrounding the case.
You know who has a lower approval rating than Congress? Yes, the so-called media.
There is no longer any professional integrity in the industry, as demonstrated by the actions of ABC Brian Ross, who, in his zealous attempt to vilify Obama's political opposition, the TEA part, took it upon himself to throw out in the wind the name of a gentleman who had joined the grassroots movement and who had the misfortune to share the same name with the murderer.
Sure, the allegations were retracted eventually, but no repercussion is going to be felt by the reporting liar Ross. Credibility of these people is already so low that it would go into the negative.
Just my thoughts!
