Few More Selected Names

Just in the eventuality that California residents do not have enough to be embarrassed about their political and economic situation, we can always count on our wonderful elected official for some more. Specifically, today is the turn of that pillar of ignorance that is our US junior Senator Barbara Boxer.

During a hearing in front of the Senate Committee on Environmental and Public Works, Brigadier General Michael Walsh of the Corps of Engineers responded to a question from the always witty Ca senator by addressing her as “ma’am” at which point the luminary Boxer interjected:
"You know, do me a favor. Could say 'senator' instead of 'ma'am?” and added "It's just a thing, I worked so hard to get that title, so I'd appreciate it, yes, thank you,"
Gen. Walsh politely adhered to the nasty request.

What an embarrassment Sen. Boxer is, not only to the whole body of the US Senate, but Congress, the state of California and the whole country.
Some may say that it is not a big deal, but I say that it is just the opposite: a clear window on the elitism that politicians suffer from, elitism that appears, at least in their power hungry minds, to give them the permission to be so self serving.

Maybe if the good Senator would have a better understanding of the Military mind set, she would know that it is a common procedure for many people, and especially the Military, to address women with ‘ma’am’ and men with ‘sir’ and it is all based on an inherent sense of respect.
But this is something that obviously escapes the shark size brain Boxer, who probably associates the term ‘ma’am” with the one that she is more familiar with, especially in her home town, of madam.

To make her statement even more embarrassing, she mentions the fact that she worked so hard to get that title. Somebody should remind the Senator that it was the people who lent her that title, albeit misguided and brain dead. The only work she had to do, and I must admit she worked hard at it, has been to feed a good line of crap to the Californians to get elected. And that she is good at!

I can think of few more appropriate names for Senator Boxer, but I will refrain with all but one: it is my deep hope that soon we will be able to address her as ex-Senator.
In the meantime, we will just have to continue to feel the embarrassment of yet another political figure from the once Golden State. Still, it is at times hard to mask the sadness I feel in seeing what has become of this once great state. The whole country for that matter.
This is what happens when Liberals and phony Conservatives are in charge…every time.

And these are my thoughts!
