How Do You Like That, Mr. President

By Semperpapa

Well! If this is not an interesting turn of events.

The very same United Nations commission that Obama allowed to spew venom against the United States with the report on human rights violations allegedly taking place in our country, is now investigating Obama.

Navi Pillay, Commissioner of the UN Human Rights group is demanding that the United States would provide a full and accurate recount of the raid conducted by the US Special Forces in Pakistan last weekend.

According to Pillay, as much as the Commission rejects terrorism, there is a need to insure that the JSOC operation was conducted according to international law.
As Matt Damon would say: how you like them apples? Obama?
But not to worry. The real target of the inquiry from the United Nations is not the Messiah, but the US Military. I have no doubt that if the US Government will comply with the request, somehow, in some strange way, President Obama will find the way to throw the Military under the bus and come out smelling like roses. Politicians always do.

Sure Eric Holder testified that the action was legal and proper, but the stock of the corrupted Attorney General is sinking faster than bin Laden's carcass.

Actions have consequences. The attitude of the US Government toward our Military, from the Haditha Marines to the Navy SEALs court martialed for giving a captured terrorist a bloody lip, is one of sacrifice: the politicians will sacrifice the Military promptly if the action would further their hold on power.

Now this will be an interesting track to follow. What will Obama do?
If he complies, he will appear as surrendering the legal sovereignty of the country, certainly not a good prospect with the American moderates. Moreover, he would appear as betraying the Military surely angering those who give him so much credit for the action conducted by the very same Military.
If he does not comply, the fringe Left will go viral, as they will see in him one more betrayal of the radicalism they were so hoping he would engage in. Not to mention the suspicions that the refusal would spread among the American people and especially the UN loving radical Islamists.

This is definitely one to follow, but there is a third option. This could just be a fake on the part of the ultra-Liberal United Nations to put up a smoke screen to protect Obama in the eyes of the Muslim world. Obama could just send a bogus report, promptly accepted by the Commission and all the "controversy" could be just swept under the proverbial rug.

As I am skeptic of any "surprise" or "coincidence" at those high levels of political corruption, I will just wait and see what develops from this. If nothing does, it will be only because the United Nations has a great interest in getting Obama re-elected for a second term.

Just my thoughts!

  1. This comes as no surprise. Really.

The decisive actions taken by the Obama administration to take out OBL were bound to be investigated...to ensure no violation of international law. I expected it. *nod*
