The Damned Freedom Thing

By Semperpapa

How about that!
Liberal governor of Massachusetts Deval Patrick helps the current offensive Democrats are conducting in their superhuman efforts to make the American people feel good.

As if the approval rating for the Progressives in power could not get any better, Mr. Patrick made the following statement during a radio interview and about the “Restore Honor” rally held by Glenn Beck on Saturday:

“It’s a free country. I wish it weren’t, but…it’s a free country. You know, you got to, you got to respect that freedom.”

Ok, maybe it’s me and my Conservative leaning ideology, but I thought that freedom was a good thing.
For the entire eight years of the Bush Administration, the Left in America, spearheaded by truly despicable organizations like the ACLU, the NAACP, CAIR, the DNC, the Congressional Black Caucus and the Liberal Media, have used every possible conspiracy theory and minuscule pretest to level accusations against President Bush of aiming at taking away liberties from the American people.

Can anyone remember the vile accusations against Attorney General John Ashcroft in the wake of the installation of the Patriot Act just following the attacks of 9-11?
The attacks were vicious and relentless, with flying accusations of some form of fundamentalist Christian take over being planned from the White House.

But while every action and single word coming out of the mouths of Bush or any of the members of his administration were the immediate subject of attacks and accusations on the part of those alleging the right wing conservative erosion of civil liberties, the same characters are totally silent when today’s leadership, liberal progressive leadership, engages in more egregious actions and statements about their vision of the new America.

From Obama to Holder to Maxine Waters to John Dingell to Katherine Sebelius, the true intention to abridge the very freedoms at the core of our society becomes increasingly obvious.
Obama feels that America is a Superpower, that we like it or not.
Holder tramples the freedom of voters by his inaction on the New Black Panthers voter intimidation case.
Maxine Waters openly stating she wants to nationalize American industries.
John Dingell favoring the idea of Obamacare being used to control the people.
Katherine Sebelius proposing the re-education of the ignorant American masses.

And here again, the Governor of Massachusetts clearly stating that the freedom of speech exercised by Glenn Beck and by every single one of us, is something he wishes was not so.
The same freedom he exercises in saying the stupid thing he just said, is a liberty that he wants to remove from the lives of the people.

But Gov. Patrick has two major things going for him which will spare him any kind of repercussion except from those few Americans that are actually paying attention: he is a liberal and he is black.
Either or both are, today, a free pass that allows characters like this governor to get away with the most asinine statements.
Disagreeing with him, dissenting and arguing with his moronic point will only buy you a nice label of racism.

Just my thoughts!
