The infamous Westboro Baptist Church, the cult-like fanatics who like to protest at funerals of Military personnel, have announced that they are planning to protest the funerals of Elisabeth Edwards.
Ms. Edwards lost her battle against cancer earlier this week.
It is not surprising to me that the miscreants of the WBC would take the advantage of such a high profile funeral to make their disgusting points. I only hope that the children of Ms. Edwards will be spared having to witness the pure manifestation of evil that the WBC represents.
It is already enough to have lost their mom and to have a lousy father. Having to witness people rejoice for the passing of their loved one is beyond despicable.
Maybe the Patriot Guards will prevent such a travesty and misuse of the right afforded by the First Amendment of the Constitution.
Rest in Peace, Ms. Edwards.
