Scott Brown

13 January 2010

Even if the results of the Massachusetts special Senatorial elections are favorable to Scott Brown, the newly elected Senator may not be able to save the American Health Care system from Obama and Co. destruction.

Breitbart reports that in fashion that would make Obama and the Chicago thugs running America today proud, Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin, a Democrat, hinted that the certification of the newly elected senator could be delayed due to procedural issues. According to state law, all city and town clerks have to wait ten days following the elections to allow all absentee ballots to be counted. After that, officials have another five days to file the results for certification.

So technically, if Brown is elected, it could be well into February before he is actually sworn into the Senate. This will give the Liberals enough time to try cramming the disastrous health care bill while they still enjoy a 60 vote majority in the Senate.
Mr. Galvin had no problem bypassing such state provision in 2007 to get a fellow Democrat into the House in time to vote to override a veto of President Bush.
Of course, in the case of Brown victory, Mr. Galvin would miraculously develop a conscience and he could not possibly go against Senate rules. Who has ever heard Liberals perverting procedural rules!

If the potential obstacle posed by Galvin is not enough, a spokeswoman for Harry Reid communicated on behalf of his cadaverous boss that:

"When there is a certified winner in
Massachusetts, the Senate has received appropriate papers and the vice president is available, the successor to Kennedy/Kirk will be sworn in.”

And she added that the process may take a week or more.

So here we are, American Conservatives, looking at the chances of Mr. Brown election as a faint light at the end of the tunnel of darkness our country is in, only to surely witness, should he be victorious, hypocritical Liberals (redundant) deny him the chance of participating in a legislative process that is designed to affect the entire population. And the clincher is …and the vice president is available…which means that if Joe Biden decides to disappear for some time, there is no recourse to save America. Nobody ever know where Joe is or what the hell is doing abyway.

On the same subject, and fully convincing me that the obstructionism of Liberals to a potential Brown victory is THE contingency plan, is the exaggerated outrage of Rep. Barney Frank when asked about the possibility of Democrats stalling the certification process. Rep. Frank went on a tirade accusing everybody of the usual right wing conspiracy. He got so irate that enough spittle came out of his mouth to justify reporters running for their umbrellas. A little over the top, Mr. Barney “Purple Dinosaur” Frank.
If I was a betting man I would wager that if Coakley wins, William Galvin will probably bypass Senate rules and send her certification to Reid much more quickly, making sure that she would be seated in the Senate at the time that Obama signs the bill. And nobody would better call him out on that, because he would be doing it as a memorializing sign of respect for good old, uncle Teddy. And all who would criticize the move would be labeled racist.

So there we have it. it appears that the only way that Obamacare will be defeated is if one of the current Democrats or maybe Joe Lieberman would reverse their position and realize the cost of that deranged legislation.

As far as Scott Brown, I wish him full success as his victory would, if nothing else, send a chilling message to those in Congress who have been indignantly ignore the will of the American people.

And these are my thoughts
