Please Read and Act

Dear Semper Americans

I have been honored twice now by being allowed to become part of two organizations which I respect so much.
One is the Patriot Guard Riders, which I joined three years ago.
The second is a new organization which will launch on Monday, 25 May, Memorial Day.
This organization is the Warrior Legacy Foundation (www.warriorlegacyfoundation.org) which has been created to make America aware of the importance our Military represents for our beloved country and all its citizens. The scope of WLF is such that you need to visit their website and see for yourself in the depth it deserves.
I was honored as I am a civilian, although lately I seem to feel more comfortable communicating with Veterans. So, just as the PGR welcomed this civilian among them, so is the WLF.

The importance of the Warrior Legacy is underlined by those who are responsible for its birth and I am going to mention just two names: David Bellavia and Jim Hanson.
David is a decorated Iraq War veteran of the Army, nominated for the Medal of Honor for his actions in Iraq, actions depicted in his book House to House, a definite must read.
Jim is one of the main features on the web site Blackfive.net where he writes enjoyable and informational columns and produces serious but entertaining videos as Uncle Jimbo.

One request I have for all who visit my site is to check the Warrior Legacy Foundation and join up. As a small part of it and recognizing the importance of the message being put forward by these American patriots, I would personally like to see the WLF grow exponentially just as the Patriot Guards grew.
Their goal and scope is so important to the cause of America and its warriors that it deserves to become an integral and educational part of American culture.

It is important that, in the current environment of detachment between the American Military and the country’s citizenry, we do all that is necessary to make the civilian world aware of the debt of gratitude we as a society owe to those who volunteered to defend our country, our way of life and the United States Constitution.
