When Pigs Can Fly

Just as my initial reaction was, the hoopla about the swine flu is turning out to be one of those fabricated hysteria that is heightened by someone’s interest.
I have heard just about everything on this health crisis and I have had enough of it. I have heard President Bush being blamed; I have heard the Republicans in Congress (I didn’t know there was any of those left in Congress!) being blamed; and I have heard the company that invented the flu vaccine being blamed together with one of its investors, the evil Dick Cheney.
What it really comes down to is that the main culprits of the hype about this ‘health crisis’ is the Media, who has been milking the story and covering any idiotic and irresponsible fear inducing statements that could be found, including the one from the gaff-master, our illustrious village idiot VP Joe Biden.
So, after this observation, I can exclude Dick Cheney as the mastermind behind the hype, as I do not believe that the Media would be doing the financial biddings for Mr. Cheney.
I can exclude Republicans in Congress as there more of a chance to find the Lockness Monster in Congress than Conservatives.

I started thinking who would benefit by the enhanced level of fear being spread across the country, and the first thing that came to mind was the short term advantage that a health scare would give Obama, and in fact his push to have Sebelius confirmed as Secretary of Health and Human Services was aided by the scare, as Kathleen Sebelius is the goddess of health care the country needs to save us all.

Then there is the long term advantage for Obama. Scaring people into a frenzy is exactly what is needed to start laying down the proper conditions for the push the administration is going to be making toward Universal Care, better known as Socialized Medicine.
It appears to me that the Media got their marching orders from the White House to go all out on the story, probably at one of those daily teleconferences that the News Networks have with Emmanuel or Axelrod. Regardless, the Media got the ball rolling and the results have been mixed.
While the short term goal was achieved and Sebelius was confirmed thanks, as usual, to the betrayal of so-called Republicans in the Senate, Obama sort of struck out as far as been able in the future to use the swine flu as a talking point to push his disastrous idea of Socialized Medicine in America, although I am fairly sure that the Media will be able to spin something to that effect.

Even in the worst scenario possible, the potential effect of this flu on the American general population is going to be so slight that in comparison to the annual effects of the common flu have, it will not even show on the statistical charts. In fact on May 1, even Obama made a statement that most likely all that we will have to do is to ride it out. You think!?

As usual Obama is talking from both sides of his mouth, even if one of those sides has Biden sticking out of it, and keeping a foot on each side of the issue so that he can readily jump on the most convenient one on a very short notice.
It must be disappointing for the President, though, because the possibility of people falling like flies would have made a hell of a political ad. And surely the Media would have found every single dead that had no medical coverage and exploit that angle as the main reason for the death.
This was another Katrina-like political blitz that Obama and his zombies were getting ready to execute. As Emmanuel stated, and I am paraphrasing, one cannot let a good crisis go to waste, and you can always create one if you need to.
After all, Obama can make pigs fly too!

And these are my thoughts!
