Red Carpet For A Terrorist

The United States are governed by an administration that keeps on giving. What It gives I will let you decide.

I came across an article from Robert Spencer via the Heritage Foundation that I found troubling although not surprising.
Robert Spencer is a scholar of Islamic history, theology and law with numerous publications, both books and articles, under his name. He is also the director of Jihad Watch.

In this latest, Mr. Spencer talks of another Islamic scholar named Tariq Ramadan.
Tariq Ramadan, also described as the Muslim Martin Luther, is a man who about five years ago had his entry visa in the United States revoked by the State Department for having made financial contributions to a group that resulted as being a front for the terrorist group Hamas.
Ramadan, because of the actions of the State Department, was prevented from taking a tenured position as a professor at the Notre Dame University in Indiana.
Subsequently, Ramadan and the ACLU sued the government on the bases that Ramadan did not have knowledge of the connections between the organization he contributed to and Hamas.
A court of appeal found that the government did not have enough grounds to prevent Ramadan to enter the country.

Well all the drama is now academic, as Tariq Ramadan has been given the celebrity red carpet treatment from none other than our illustrious Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Ramadan will be participating, in April, on a panel in New York called “Secularism, Islam and Democracy: Muslims in Europe and the West” in New York.

The reason for Ramadan ability to enter the US is not that the man has been cleared of all wrong doings, but merely because Mrs. Clinton has decided to exercise her exemption authority on behalf of Ramadan.
Interestingly, the Left had accused the Bush Administration to refuse Ramadan’s visa based on his opposition to the war in Iraq, but effectively, Clinton would have not needed to use exemption authority for that reason, while she would have to circumvent the law aimed at keeping terror groups’ supporters out of the country, law that was instituted after the 9-11-01 attacks.

As an exercise in contrast, one Muslim man, Mohamad Mustapha Ali Masfaka, was arrested, approximately at the same time that Ramadan was given the red carpet by Clinton, for attempting to enter the US from Canada. His crime? Lying to the FBI about his involvement with the Holy Land Foundation, an Islamic charitable organization currently under indictment for being a front fundraiser for the terror group Hamas. And ironically the same front group Ramadan contributed to. Each man violations are basically the same, but Masfaka is in jail and Ramadan is shown the red carpet, with the personal intervention of the Secretary of State of the United States of America (and BTW, everywhere the name Clinton appears, one can very easily substitute Obama, as he is the master puppeteer).

So Mr. Spencer tells us why the different treatment for these two men.
Masfaka is really nobody in the eyes of the Administration. Just another slob, low level soldier with no national political implications or interest, aside from local Michigan impact. One of those Muslims that CAIR will exploit at the local level.

Ramadan, on the other hand, is a public figure, openly and vehemently opposed to everything President Bush did. Ramadan’s anti-Bush rhetoric has been publicized globally, a distinction that the Obama regime finds very useful in its continuous effort to scrutinize, attack and dismantle all the policies that were introduced after the 9-11 attacks.
One detail that the Administration is not overly anxious to publicize is the fact that Tariq Ramadan is the grandson of Hasan Al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood organization.
So what, you may ask. Well let’s take a short look at the Muslim Brotherhood. The subject could take countless articles to examine in depth, but I will give the highlights relevant to the subject.

The Muslim Brotherhood is an organization created at the beginning of last century in Egypt. To make it a short description, the Brotherhood’s main objective was then and still is today, the infiltration of Western nations and the subverting of their systems, with the slow but relentless substitution of their political and cultural basis with Shariah law.
The MB has been active in the United States since the 1960s, finding fertile ground for the beginning of their infiltration in the US in the radicalism pervading the country in those tumultuous years.
MB has always denied these accusations, but in reality they have been patiently working to infiltrate American society with the goal of undermining our way of life at its foundations.
Steven Merley of Center on Islam, Democracy, and the Future of the Muslim World at the HUDSON INSTITUTE covers a lot of the realities of the Muslim Brotherhood in a 2009 report on the Islamic group. Here is a very short snapshot from it.

The leadership of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood (MB, or Ikhwan) has said that its goal was and is jihad aimed at destroying the U.S. from within. The Brotherhood leadership has also said that the means of achieving this goal is to establish Islamic organizations in the U.S. under the control of the Muslim Brotherhood. Since the early 1960s, the Brotherhood has constructed an elaborate covert organizational infrastructure on which was built a set of public or “front” organizations. The current U.S. Brotherhood leadership has attempted to deny this history, both claiming that it is not accurate and at the same time that saying that it represents an older form of thought inside the Brotherhood. An examination of public and private Brotherhood documents, however, indicates that this history is both accurate and that the Brotherhood has taken no action to demonstrate change in its mode of thought and/or activity.

Goals of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood
A 1991 document written by U.S. MB leader Mohammed Akram (a.k.a. Mohammed Adlouni)explains the goal of the Brotherhood in America, which he identifies as “settlement:” The general strategic goal of the Brotherhood in America which was approved by the Shura [Leadership] Council and the Organizational Conference for 1987 is “enablement of Islam in North America, meaning: establishing an effective and stable Islamic Movement led by the Muslim Brotherhood which adopts Muslims’ causes domestically and globally, and which works to expand the observant Muslim base; aims at unifying and directing Muslims’ efforts; presents Islam as a civilization alternative; and supports the global Islamic state, wherever it is.” ... The priority that is approved by the Shura Council for the work of the Brotherhood in its current and former session is “Settlement".


Tariq Ramadan has built this persona of moderation that has resulted in the people on two continents, Europe and America, to actually welcome the man with open arms.
But is the man really a moderate?
My money is on that Mr. Ramadan has not rejected the philosophy created by his grandfather and he has not been cleared of the charges of financial support for a terrorist organization.

So here we have another example of US political leadership going AWOL from its responsibility to protect the United States. The agenda of condemnation of the previous administration is trampling every bit of common sense that the American people should demand from Washington, as the increasingly permissive, apologetic attitude toward radical Islamic entities is creating the perfect conditions for the enemy of America to increase their foothold in American society.
Hillary Clinton, on orders from Obama, has given Ramadan the ability to spread his message to the masses, using the indecent venue of the American university system, where radical Muslims have already established a very solid beach head.
The invasion that begun five decades ago is now gaining momentum, thanks to the cancers of political correctness and general apathy, maladies that have blinded the American people into a false sense of complacency, and thanks to a President that is completely devoted, to the point of obsession, to the dismantling of our country. “This would never happen in America” I keep hearing from people who accuse me of being overly concerned about this. And my answer to them is that they may be right, but if they are wrong, I would sure hate to be in the position to tell them “I told you so, jackass!”
