The Ever Giving Boxer

By Semperpapa

It is really embarrassing for me as a Californian, to witness the complete and total mental decay that is affecting a woman that the citizens of my state have been keeping in Washington for almost 30 years. I am speaking of the esteemed Sen. Barbara Boxer, the hopefully soon-to-be-former California Senator.

The mentally challenged Boxer had a campaign fund get together in Inglewood, CA, last weekend where she compared her “service” in Congress to the service our Military is performing in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Check that, probably not Iraq as that is the ‘bad’ war and she is much above those who served there.

Her statement during the fund raiser:

“We know that if you have veterans in one place where they can befriend each other and talk to each other. You know when you’ve gone through similar things you need to share it. I don’t care whether you are a policeman or a fireman or a veteran or by chance a member of Congress.[Democratic Rep.] Maxine [Waters] and I could look at each other and roll our eyes. We know what we are up against. And it is hard for people who are not there to understand the pressure and the great things that go along with it and the tough things that go along with it.”

Lt. Commander Paul Chabot of the Veterans for Carly (Fiorina) Coalition, called Boxer’s statement a demonstration of Boxer’s lack of any interest and respect for the United States Military.

So, besides a bad case of heartburn, Boxer sparks some of my thoughts.
I can see that there may be similarities between the two types of service. Both volunteer for the job; both take an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution; both get to ride in taxpayers’ paid vehicles; both get to eat and drink on the taxpayer’s dime.

But the similarities end there, because while our Service men and women remain faithful to their oath, politicians do their best to trample it; while our Military does its job in vehicles that may be older than them and lacking the necessary armor, politicians roam around in limos and high cost jets; and while our Military feasts on MREs (Meals Ready to Eat), the politicians wine and dine like royalty.
And definitely, while politicians get rich through the corruption they are such experts at, the Military memebrs surely do not serve for the love of money.

So the parallel between the political service and the Military service is just as absurd as the reasons why such an ignorant moron gets re-elected.

And to make the whole affair even more insulting to Veterans, the campaign fund raiser conducted by Boxer over the weekend had, as one of the special guests, one of the best friends of the Military, especially the Vietnam Veterans. Yes, none other than the infamous Hanoi Jane.

I will just refrain from calling Boxer the names I feel regurgitating inside the pit of my stomach, but I will do all in my power to make sure that in November the whole state will be able to call her UNEMPLOYED!

Just my thoughts!
