I have always thought of the South Carolina Congressman as a typical representative of the new slave ownership enterprise, but James Clyburn managed last Sunday to infuriate me. In the past I always discounted the indecency of this man as just a sample of immoral opportunism that is such a basic characteristic of politicians, but as I unfortunately stopped long enough in front of the TV last Sunday, I was incensed by this guy actually having the courage to say what he was saying.
Clyburn was a guest, together with Mike Pence of Indiana, of Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday. I researched the transcripts of the interview and was not able to find them so I will instead paraphrase the statement that this poor excuse for human being made regarding the issue of illegal immigration.
The basic point made by congressman Clyburn was that those people in America who are against the liberal interpretation of immigration reform, fancy term for amnesty, are an affront to those non-US citizens members of the Military who are serving overseas and have died in the service of the Nation.
I caught that statement and my blood pressure shot up as few times before.
In the first place, illegal aliens, last I checked, do not join the Military. And there is a major distinction between those who have crossed the southern border into the United States in clear violation of the law of our country, and those who have come to the US legally and are serving the Nation in the Armed Forces hoping, among other things, that their service would speed up the obtainment of US citizenship. Combining the two together is not only erroneous, but it is a clear indication of the visceral intellectual dishonesty of Mr. Clyburn, a man who has often shown how rotten his soul really is.
This so called man is one of those who the day of the vote for Obamacare, leveled false accusations against protesters who were voicing their rejection of the healthcare bill, by stating that he had been subjected to racial slurs and even of being spat on, accusations that were completely unfounded and uncorroborated.
Mr. Clyburn is also the piece of garbage who accused the GOP of planting candidates like Alvin Greene in the South Carolina U.S. Senate primaries of last June. Clyburn had called for an investigation on his own accusations that the Republican Party had concocted the candidacy and victory of the completely unknown Greene. Clyburn’s accusations were proven false by a state inquiry, but Clyburn has not been heard making any apology for his conduct.
No surprise comes from the use of falsities on the part of Clyburn, after all he has done so for a long time, including using the racial card against Hillary Clinton during her campaign against Barak Obama. Clyburn is just another charlatan who has made a career by crying victim and by keeping his constituency in a perennial state of submission, a la Sharpton and Jackson.
But to actually have the nerve of using the Military in such an obvious misguided way is, for me, beyond the acceptable.
What also surprised me was that Pence did not have the presence or the courage to call the man out on such a travesty.
After hearing Clyburn using the non-US citizens in the Armed Forces with such blatant misconstruction, my mind went to Alexandre “Sasha” Aleexev.
In 2007, the Patriot Guard Riders escorted Sasha, as he was known to his family and friends, to his last resting place after being killed in Iraq by an IED.
Sasha’s family had come to America from Russia when Sasha was a little kid following the disintegration of the Soviet Union. Sasha and his family were legal immigrants into the United States and Sasha loved America so much that he had decided to serve his new country in the Military. His hope was also that his service would possibly accelerate his citizenship paperwork, as being a US Citizen was one of the goals he wanted to achieve the most.
Spc. Alexandre “Sasha” Alexeev, 23 years old, paid the ultimate price for the defense of the country he loved so much. And at the cemetery, immediately following the Military Honors, a State Department official granted full United States Citizenship to this legal immigrant from Russia.
Sasha was buried as a United States citizen.
So, for Representative Clyburn to place on the same level someone like Sasha and those who enter our sovereign soil illegally is just enough for me to discount this man as an American.
And how dare this poor excuse for a human being to use the Military for the promotion of his progressive, anti-American, unconstitutional and racist agenda.
You, Mr. Clyburn, are worth less to me than the camel dung these men and women have to scrape off the soles of their boots.
Just my thoughts!
