27B Barrels Of Oil: Here Today, Gone...Today

By Semperpapa

Say "Good Bye" Shell and "So Long" to 27 billion barrels of oil, all thanks to the environmental terrorism perpetrated by the Obama thugs in Washington, under the disguises of the Environmental Protection Agency.

The vice president of Shell Oil issued a statement that his company, surely one of those evil corporations, is going to scrap the plan of drilling in the Beaufort and Chukchi Seas, north of Alaska, because of the reluctance on the part of the EPA to issue drilling permits. The estimated amount of oil that could have been pumped into the American economy is an enormous 27 billion barrels. The amount is 2 1/2 times the amount of oil that has flowed through the Alaska pipeline in the last 30 years.

The reason given by the eco-terrorists of the EPA for their decision was that they faulted Shell for omitting from their green house effects study, part of the permit request, the analysis of the impact on the air quality caused by the project.
Supposedly the EPA complaint was in regard to the emissions from ice breaking vessels needed for the realization of the project.

The area, which Shell paid $2.2 billion for the lease alone, is in such a desolated area of the globe that the closest inhabited zone is about 70 miles away, a village of about 240 people considered to be the most remote village in America.

Of course the various environmental terror organizations are happy about the EPA actions. And with the support of an administration bent on increasing the dependency of the Nation upon foreign oil, one can assume that the regime is also toasting in the White House this latest victory of the enemies of the country.

Am I surprised? I wish I could say yes, but considering that the same environmental terrorists have succeeded in turning thousands of acres of central California fertile farmland into an arid desert so not to disturb a 2-inch long fish, nothing will surprise me any more.

But this is the kind of National devastation one can expect when radical terrorists are placed into positions of power.

Just my thoughts!
