Jimmy Carter Fighting For His Legacy

By Semperpapa

OK, I understand: the man is getting older and possibly senile, but it must really be disappointing for former President Carter to see his very own title of worst American President being so skillfully and successfully challenged by the whipper snapper in the White House. And Obama is kicking his butt up one side and down the other!

But I also have to commend the old dude's combative attitude in his latest attempt to regain some ground in the ever lasting quest that sees the old peanut farmer pitched against the Chicago community organizer.
Carter went to North Korea to pay his respects to probably the last of the worst Communist countries. During a press conference he stated that the North wants direct talks with their southern neighbors and that it is the South Korean government, under American pressure, to stop the process. Yes, those poor, abused North Korean governmental officials, the same ones who have their own citizens' blood on their hands, who Carter s siding with.

And just for kicks, Carter concluded by accusing the South and the United States of human rights violations for supporting sanctions against the North, which result in the North Korean population to starve.
The political oppression, the incarceration of dissidents, the responsibility of a dictatorial government upon its people and its aggression toward the South just escaped the comments of Mr. Carter.

Yes, Carter may be trying his best to catch up with Obama "worst President" position, but it is a futile exercise as the majority of Americans dismiss any asinine attacks against our country from the former President with a simple "Consider the source."

Wish you the best, President Carter.

Just my thoughts!
