Does anyone share my increasing intolerance for radical Islamists? I am sure plenty do, many more than the spineless, politically correct handicapped apologists that run around our country with their hair on fire, claiming Islamophobia.
In the latest news, some idiot preacher in Florida decides that it would be a good idea to burn the Koran as a punishment for some off the rocker mock trial against Islam. I contend that here in America, at least for now, he has the right to be a stupid asshole as much as he wants, regardless of the stupidity of the act.
The result of the pointless grandstanding was an incendiary sermon of some scumbag imam in Afghanistan, who proceeded to whip up few thousands members of the religion of peace into such a hateful frenzy that they proceeded to storm out of the mosque and attack a United Nations outpost, shooting 10 international workers and decapitating 2 more.
While I am not a subscriber to the defense of "the devil made me do it" therefore not holding the preacher responsible for the evil actions of barbaric sub-humans half a world away, I cannot help but be infuriated by the bloody consequences that a completely idiotic action might have triggered.
The truth of the matter is that I am completely fed up with the foolishness of this pseudo-religion and anyone who supports and apologizes for it. I am tired of the old excuse of such acts being the work of a "radicalized minority" of a much larger peace loving Muslim majority, as if this factor can diminish the animalistic brutality of the total ideology.
Just as I was digesting the significance of the events in Afghanistan, trying to come to grips with the utter disgust I feel for the actions of a radical imam taking the opportunity to appeal to the ingrained ignorance of an ingrate population, I also came across another piece of news about the famous religion of peace.
In Bangladesh, a 14 years old girl was raped by a cousin. She was beaten by the wife of the scum and brought up in front of the local imam with accusations of adultery. The imam, according to the application of Sharia law, sentenced the man to 201 lashes and the girl to 101. The man was subjected to few lashes, while the whole sentence was imparted upon the child.
She finally collapsed at the 70th blow and after a week in the hospital, she finally died.
To make things even sicker, if that is even possible, doctors from the hospital signed the certificate of death as a suicide, to protect the imam as the application of such kind of Sharia punishment is forbidden by the government.
The young victim's family fought the local barbarians and got the government to resume the body and conduct a proper autopsy which found that the death had been caused by internal bleeding brought by extreme external trauma.
I must admire the young girl's family for seeking justice for their daughter even after the pressure and the threats that they received for not dropping the whole issue.
How many more of such cases just remain hidden in the evil crevices of the Islamic hell? We really do not know, as the Western media is ashamedly afraid of bringing them to the forefront of civilized people attention, be it for fear or for political correctness.
Videos of Christians being burned alive in Africa by Islamic mobs appear briefly then are gone; stories like the bombing of the Iraqi Christian church on Christmas Eve outrage us for a moment, than they are gone and forgotten.
What we are left with is morons like Rosie O'Donnell equating Christians to radical Muslims in the use of violence; other morons like the bimbos on the View staging their departure offended by classification of Muslim terrorists; attacks against Juan Williams for stating true and popular sentiments.
Meanwhile, as these apologetic morons get on their high horse of tolerance, protected by the freedom and liberties that those they apologize for want to destroy, devilish Sharia law creeps ever deeply in our social system aided by a judicial system that has been corrupted by the subtle infiltration from the ever cunning Islam; aided by a political system that is so whipped by political correctness and corrupted by power elitism that has completely lost touch with the realities of the American people.
As much as the radicalized Islamists are the enemies of America, our Country has just as many insidious enemies lurking among us.
From Rep. Keith Ellison to AG Eric Holder; from Rep. Conyers to Sen. Durbin and Schumer; from Sec. Napolitano to Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam and the very President Obama, the forces of evil have made more pronounced advances in our social system since 9-11 than ever before.
I find it unconscionable that tolerance for radical Islam has grown since 19 radical Muslims killed 3,000 people on American soil.
If the religion of peace is such, why don't we hear wide spread condemnation on the part of mainstream Muslims for the horrors perpetrated by these "Muslims"? Why are voices like that of Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, of the American-Islamic Forum for Democracy, such lone voices in the wilderness?
We are on a dangerous road, one we must attempt to reverse or political correctness will allow those engaged in the radical transformation of America to make "changes" in our system that will have very serious consequences.
Just my thoughts!

I am contemptuous of ANY radical religious person - which is not limited to Muslims, but Christians, Zionists, and any other religious ilk. I believe firmly in tolerance, and live-and-let-live...I am respectful of individuals' rights to believe as they will, so long as their beliefs do not infringe upon mine. As an atheist, I can tell you that I am not a respecter of religion in any sense - save for people's rights to follow their specific faiths...so long as I'm not preached to or expected to adhere to any tenet of another's faith...
ReplyDelete...which is one reason that I am regularly annoyed by legislation in this country that works desperately to undermine the separation of church and state - ANY church. *nod*
I am also a deep believer of separation of church and state.
ReplyDeleteAs a Catholic, I cannot remember any time in my life when I heard a sermon that would inspire me to undermine the rule of law or call for my intolerance of other faiths.
And I cannot remember the last time that Methodists or Buddhists went on a killing spree because they felt "insulted" in some way.
AS far as legislation that promotes one religion over another, I am not aware of any, but I would definitely oppose it.
SP out!
*nod* There are many laws that are faith-based. Rather than write out a specific list, I'll offer up a link to a book I highly recommend (that covers one facet of this topic) and two links that shed some light.
ReplyDeleteAs a Catholic, the book *may* not be appealing to you, depending on where you stand on the subject of reproductive choice, though you are quite likely old enough to remember the tragedies that occurred before abortion became legal...and this is an admitted hot-button topic (which I'm not trying to stir the pot, because it's a very emotional topic for most people) ~ but the book delved deeply into the legislation that has chipped away at not *only* Roe v. Wade and privacy, but also in other initiatives (think AFLA, the so-called "Chastity Act", brainchild of Jeremiah Denton and sponsored by Orrin Hatch...which eventually became to foundation for Abstinence-Only Until Marriage sex education - which is demonstrated to be entirely ineffective) ~ the book is "The War on Choice" by Gloria Feldt.
The two links I mentioned are Georgia Governor's Website and The Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships -- these are both *government* websites, where faith-based *anything* is an undermining of the Great Wall of Separation.
Make no mistake, there is a religious war going on...and if you think Christians aren't going on killing sprees, think again. Have you seen <a href="http://www.christiangallery.com/atrocity/aborts.html>The Nuremberg Files</a>? Have you observed the different laws that are cropping up all over the country, including laws that will let people who murder doctors get off scot free? Yeah, it's getting REALLY ugly in the US in terms of an evangelical theocracy. Are you familiar with Dominionist Christianity? These are "Jesus Warriors" who are *literally* taking up arms...calling for the so-called spiritual war to be taken to the physical...and are ready to kill and die for it. Pretty much the "Christian Taliban" ~it's no exaggeration, it's no joke. Though it is VERY scary and sad. *sigh*
Oh! By the by...when I was still a practicing xian, I followed the Methodist's doctrine.
ReplyDelete*nod* I hold a LOT of respect for Methodists.
...and though my husband is also atheist, he & I both respect Buddhism's respect for tolerance.
You chose two VERY excellent examples. :)
I am definitely not stating that there is somewhere a so called Christian or whatever else current of intolerance and propensity to violence, all I have to think of is the scum from the Westboro Baptist Church (as a Patriot Guard Rider I have had the misfortune to come across these evil characters. Nothing Christian about them!).
ReplyDeleteBut the point of my post is not much about religions as it was about the steady advance of radical Islam in the West and America.
Mostly, I contend that Islam is more of a socio-political, military ideology than a religion. An ideology of control and enslavement that political correctness allows to make tremendous inroads into our society.
Thanks for posting...SP out!
I disagree with the assertion that Islam is socio-political military ideology...I know that there are strains of Islam that are precisely that, but I know too many followers of peaceful Islam (not just from the Middle East, but from different countries in west Africa) to doubt that its foundation is as spiritual as the followers of variety Christianity. If I lacked that personal knowledge, I might agree with you...but I just know too many.
ReplyDelete*high five* for being a Patriot Guard Rider. I have studied and written (extensively) about the WBC, and have become net friends with Nate (the estranged son of Fred Phelps)...AND one of my sisters went to university in Topeka - encountering Phelpsies on a regular basis (both in protests and as fellow students)...
Two of my relatively recent write-ups: http://therearethornstoo.blogspot.com/2011/03/returning-to-wbc-thoughtsbut-only.html?zx=cf6bf5bdda1faacc and http://therearethornstoo.blogspot.com/2011/03/wbc-and-interesting-information.html?zx=41c45c329d58b306 ...I've been curious about them for YEARS, and my views about them have evolved during those years. They are both more and less than what they appear.
:)
