How It Works In Gaza

By Semperpapa

I had been wondering for some time and now I think I understand how it works in the Gaza strip.

Basically, Hamas, the elected pseudo-political entity, and its terror groups strike against Israeli civilians and when Israel responds, they call for a cease-fire.

On Thursday, Hamas terrorists fired an anti-tank round against an Israeli target, wounding two people, one 16-year old boy critically. The target? A school bus. Definitely a high value military target.

As Israel started the obvious retaliation, with aircrafts targeting terror cells in Gaza, Hamas so-called authorities declared that they had reached a tentative truce with “most” of the militant factions of the terror group. The statement was allegedly aimed at reducing the “escalation of violence” on the part of Israel.

So this is the way it works: Hamas launches attacks against innocent civilians than, as Israel responds against terrorists, they call for a cease-fire, all the while blaming the Israelis for escalation of violence.

Interestingly, they state that “most” terrorists agree with the truce, leaving the door open for “rogue” cells to continue their attacks. Very convenient, because Hamas is able to proceed with its provocation using the excuse that they cannot control “all” the factions of their group. They can then blame Israel for escalation of violence and rejection of Hamas call for restrain and “longing” for peace.

Of course, anyone with a brain cell still functioning can see right through this tactic, but the problem remains that the anti-Israel propaganda, from the United Nations to the White House, uses the Hamas agenda for the perennial condemnation of Tel Aviv.

In fact, it is reported that right after the call for a truce on the part of the Hamas leadership, on Friday, more rockets have been fired into Israel, just as predicted and in concordance with the usual behavior.

Surely the UN council will call for an all out condemnation of Israel, citing that the response to the terrorist attacks is disproportionate. The failure to inflict casualties upon Israeli civilians is seen as a reason to chastise Israel for their efficiency in self-protection.

Just my thoughts!
