Importance Of Immigration For Obama

By Semperpapa

It is one of the concerns near the top of the priority list of the American people: illegal immigration.
Right up there following the economy, but not in the eyes of our fearless leader, President Obama.

The President has no intention to address the plague of illegal immigration with seriousness and resolve, unless we discount what we will all witness to be a behind closed doors activities aimed at granting amnesty and unlimited rights to illegals for campaigning purposes.

Luis Gutierrez, the nutcase House Representative from Illinois, the guy who stated that his only allegiance is toward illegal immigrants, plainly told Obama that if he does not grant amnesty to the over 30 million illegals in the Nation, he will not have the Latino vote.
Gutierrez, who I am not sure when he was named spokesman for the Latino community of the country, is attempting to gain a role similar to the one that Al Sharpton and Jessy Jackson have enjoyed with the Black population.

But the Illinois politician does not have to be concerned, because the President will be handing out few crumbs of promises, maybe few executive actions further undermining the will of the American people and satisfy the liberal masses, at least until after November 2012.

It is apparent how little the President cares about the issue by his historical attitude on the subject. Without even mentioning again the federal suit against the state of Arizona over SB1070, without mentioning the flat rejection of any effort to secure the border, the latest action is representative of how serious Obama really is about the issue.
Last week Obama held a meeting to inspire dialog on illegal immigration with very important individuals. Former California governor Arnold Swharzenegger and community agitator Al Sharpton were in attendance. Conspicuously missing were current southern states governors that are today directly combating the war and invasion of our country.
And yesterday, even more significant guests were engaged by Obama on the subject: Rosario Dawson and Eva Longoria.
Yes indeed, one of the most significant issue of our times, one of the most dangerous threats to our security, being discussed by couple of b-movies actresses. I am impressed!

I have been of the opinion that this President, just as his predecessor, have done more damage to the Nation in regard to the invasion of our borders than anyone before them.
While George W. was victim of political correctness and what became known as "compassionate Conservatism" and for which I do not give him a pass in the least, the current occupant of the White House is just interested in the issue for its political implications.
The failure of the last decade in respect to illegal immigration already has demonstrated its repercussion on American society, and it will only get worst, because the illegal aliens that have entered our country are not only Mexicans and other South Americans, but the most frightening prospect is that of what is known as the OTM component: Other Than Mexicans.

Reports and eyewitness statements have briefly appeared across the news wires about the "strange" presence of male tourists in Mexico and other countries south of our border. Several of these accounts refer to areas and small villages in Mexico that are not known as tourist areas and these "tourists" are all males with no accompanying families.
Adding to my suspicion are some of the details of the continuous massacres taking place in Mexico. Mass graves of victims who were beheaded, the favorite activity of radical Islamists.

Could it be that the drug cartels joined forces with radical Islam to take advantage of the total lack of border control? Could it be that in exchange for these types of services, the cartels have granted radical Islamist a very convenient base of operation and infiltration just at the most vulnerable point of our border?
It looks like such questions have not appeared on the radar of the Administration and Janet Napolitano. Even the several discoveries of booklets in Arabic praising suicide activities and martyrdom, even the finding of Islamic prayer rugs in the desert, have not urged the DHS to appropriate the necessary resources to securing the border.
On the contrary, several law enforcement officials from border states have been complaining of enhanced policies of apprehension avoidance Border Patrol agents have been forced to comply with.
Illegal border crossing individuals being interdicted and instead of being apprehended and processed, they are turned back to the border, only to renew their activities at later time and place.

So, the way I see it, the Administration is engaging in an artificial reduction of arrests, allowing Sec. Napolitano to use the lower statistics to state that a lower number of apprehensions is the result of a more secure border. This is not only a lie, but an extremely dangerous game of Russian roulette that the Administration is playing with the lives of the American people for political advantage.

Well, just another example of how elections have consequences.
Electing a radical President like Obama is proof. Just as it would be to elect any other individual to the office who does not have a clear and profound understanding of the importance of putting a stop to illegal immigration.

I also call for immigration reform, but my idea of reform is opposite to the one espoused by Luis Gutierrez. Our country has the proper legislation regarding immigration, so my idea of reform is to actually apply the laws already existing and enforce them by using every tool in our arsenal to make sure that the southern and northern borders are air tight.
In the realm of the current political leadership, I am merely ask that the laws of the land be enforced. Now that would be a reforming change!

Just my thoughts!
