Shariah Law Victory In Oklahoma

It was in response to a proposition that was passed by the citizens of Oklahoma, with a margin of 71%, which would ban the use of any international law, Shariah law in particular, from being used in adjudication of legal cases in that state.

Immediately after the passing of the proposition, CAIR, Council for American Islamic Relations, filed a suit to stop the implementation of the law so overwhelmingly approved by the people on the basis that it was, of all things, unconstitutional.

Now the law appears to be dead. As CAIR filed the suit, judge Vicky Miles-LaGrange, was convinced by the CAIR representative that the law amounted to religious bigotry and that discriminated against Muslims.
Today, the bill sits in the State Senate and will not be subjected to any debate. The Oklahoma State Senate decided that the bill was not going to be taken up by the legislative body, practically handing a great victory to CAIR and once again, ignoring the will of the people.

The author of the bill, Sen. Sally Kern, stated that even if obviously disappointed, she was looking into introducing the language of the bill into some other legislation. Her intentions, though, were met with what amounts to a threat on the part of Muneer Awad, executive director of the Oklahoma chapter of the Hamas-linked CAIR.
Awad stated that should Kern achieve what she is thinking, it would be an action of great consequence for the economy of the state as it would affect international trade for many state companies. Awad also stated that the bigotry that would ensue would be divisive for the people of the state.

So the Oklahoma State Senate caved into the demands of a terrorist-linked organization and a politically correct and impeachable judge decision. The enemy of America has scored another victory in its slow, patient erosion of American principles.
Allowing the use of Shariah law in our judicial dealings is a slippery slope that our Nation has been on for a long time. And the consequences of actions like the one taken by the judge and the Senate in Oklahoma is one that could potentially have grave consequences.
Who will be held responsible the next time that some Muslim man will decide that his daughter or wife has "dishonored" the family?
All we need is to look at Europe to see the results of what allowing Shariah law to be part of our society would mean. From England to France to Italy, honor killing, justified by Shariah, is a popular expression of the Islamic mindset. The evidences are there and only the apologists and the accomplices of such barbaric expressions are willing to ignore them. I keep on hearing that the majority of Muslims are peaceful, but if that was the case, if the outrage felt by the rest of us "infidels" at the medieval manifestations of this so-called religion was also felt by peace loving followers of Islam, why are their voices, with very few exceptions, not heard?
