Cop Killer Nabbed In Riverside, California

By Semperpapa

Score one for the good guys. Police officers from the Riverside Police Dept. arrested, on Tuesday, a man that fits the description of the suspect that killed one of their own on Sunday.

44-year old Earl Green, a man known to law enforcement for his colorful past, was arrested in Riverside, CA. A woman in his company was also arrested.

Ryan Bonaminio was a 27 year old officer, four years Veteran of the Riverside Police Dept.

He had joined the force after serving his country as an MP in the United States Army, including two tours in Iraq. He was a decorated Veteran.

I find it ironic and highly infuriating how officer Bonaminio was able to survive two combat tours in a war zone only to return home and lose his life at the hands of a scum bag with no reason to live.

These feelings were also expressed by Bonaminio’s father.

In an atmosphere of continuous scrutiny to point accusatory fingers at the Police, the fact that the capture of the douche bag was conducted professionally by department brothers of Ryan is a testimony to the integrity of the average police officer. Surely, would it had been me, I would have prayed for the bastard to give me a reason.

The investigation is still on going, but the weapon of the slain officer has been recovered, as I understand, in possession of the suspect.

So now it is time to rally around Ryan’s family and afford to them all the respect that they deserve.

But on a personal note, the feeling of pay back is creeping up inside me, wishing that the bastard would have put up some sort of resistance against the officers and that the case now would be already decided and adjudicated.

My fear is the future of the rendition of justice for Ryan and his family. With the history of judicial activism and the electoral race still not resolved for the State Attorney General in California, the possibility that the vermin may not be held to pay for his crime is fairly high.

What remains an incredible shame is that a young man with his whole life in front of him, a life he dedicated to the service of his country and his community, was ended in such a cowardly act by a piece of garbage that should have been locked up for good a long time ago.

Maybe some fancy lawyer will come out and blame the act on race, or the TEA party or Bush.

Or maybe the scum will declare himself a convert to Islam and claim religious persecution.

At least he will be doing so from behind bars.

Just my thoughts!
