Washington Springs Into Action, Now That Obama Is Impacted

By Semperpapa

The reverberation from the latest Wikileaks document dumping is starting to be felt around the world.
Even the so far missing in action Sec. of State Clinton has reappeared to address the damage that some of the documents may be causing.
Working the phones with our so-called allies, Clinton has been attempting to smooth over the potential damage that some of the comments made by State Dept. officials about other countries may be doing to these alliances.

Even Robert “Family Guy” Gibbs made a statement calling the leaking of classified information to the media is a crime. Stunning, isn’t it?
Attorney General Eric Holder has chimed in stating that the Dept. of Justice is investigating the web site responsible for the leaking of these documents.

How interesting this is. When the throng of miscreants led by Julian Assange leaked information that was damaging to George W. there was no reaction.
When the document dumping was potentially aimed at increase the danger to our troops in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan, everyone in Washington remained silent.
But let the documents be damaging to the Obama regime and everyone springs into action in the attempt to reduce the potential negative impact on the President.

The latest release of documents impacts many leaders of several countries, and some of the foreign governments have expressed their opinion.
The Italian Foreign Minister, Franco Frattini, went as far as calling the affair the “September 11 of world diplomacy.”

In the aftermath of this bridge of security, it is my hope that the process of safeguarding America’s secrets will receive a substantial re-evaluation. In past conflicts, actions less damaging than this would be countered by a swift application of the law, especially the legal provisions to handle traitors against the Nation at time of war. And yet, Pfc. Bradley Manning, the man responsible for the transfer of all these documents to Wikileaks, is still breathing, awaiting court martial.

So the positive result of this whole mess, if there is one, could be that now that Obama may be impacted, AG Holder may actually do something. Thankfully, Julian Assange is not black or Muslim, so there may actually be a chance that Holder could actually do something.

Just my thoughts!
